ENDGAME | PIT PUSH WARLOCK

Build Overview

This "Lunatic Immortal Warlock" build is one of the most powerful Warlocks of Season 13, capable of clearing Pit Tier 150 with imperfect gear. It relies on a devastating combo between Command Fallen, the Mangler's AspectMangler's Aspect patch fix, and the Evisceration Soul Shard Fragment. Each of the four summons generated by a single cast of Command Fallen has a 2% chance to trigger Evisceration — and when multiple procs chain within the same cast, damage reaches astronomical values.

The core mechanic revolves around Eviscerate: it instantly deals a portion of the active bleed on the target, then applies a new and even more powerful bleed. By spamming Command Fallen on an already-bleeding target, each proc multiplies the previous one in a damage spiral that theoretically has no ceiling — except the game's global damage cap, sometimes reached against the most resilient Bosses.

In terms of survivability, this build is among the most robust available for a Warlock in S13. Tortured Wretch absorbs incoming damage in place of the character, TemerityTemerity maintains a barrier equal to 100% of maximum life, and Metamorphosis is kept permanently active for its damage bonuses per chunk of maximum life. This build is perfectly viable for farming all Torment 12 content, The Pit included.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Infinite damage (damage cap occasionally) on tanky targets via Eviscerate chain procs
  • Exceptional tankiness thanks to Tortured Wretch + Metamorphosis + TemerityTemerity
  • Trivializes Bosses and elites with 100% Eviscerate trigger on RampageRampage
  • No mythic required to function (Tyrael's MightTyrael's Might is a luxury item)

Cons

  • Weak against trash monster packs (Eviscerate not guaranteed outside of elites)
  • High skill ceiling: Dominance management + Tortured Wretch positioning
  • RNG-dependent: 2% proc chance for Eviscerate on Command Fallen

The mandatory unique helmet for the build is Cage of MadnessCage of Madness: it multiplies Command Fallen damage by up to 340%, forming the foundation upon which the entire Eviscerate chain rests. The priority defensive affixes on this slot are resistance to all elements, maximum life, armor, and Willpower. A maximum resource roll is an interesting offensive bonus with Durge of Odium, but at the cost of some durability.

For the chest, Tyrael's MightTyrael's Might is the BiS for survivability, but is not required for the build to function. A legendary chest piece carrying the Aspect of MightAspect of Might (Heavenly Strength) with a maximum resource roll and up to 40% damage reduction while wielding a two-handed weapon is equally effective for the vast majority of content. Paingorger's GauntletsPaingorger's Gauntlets are the third core unique: every instance of damage dealt by a non-basic skill triggers an echo of the basic skill's damage — when Command Fallen eviscerates, this echo propagates around the target, combining ideally with the Wild Bolt Aspect that pulls distant enemies into range. TemerityTemerity in the PantsPants slot is the fourth unique, maintaining a permanent barrier equivalent to 100% of maximum life through regeneration via the Undying AspectUndying Aspect on boots.

The two-handed weapon carries Mangler's AspectMangler's Aspect, the build's primary damage source: on a two-handed weapon, up to 50% of the applied bleed is retained even on failed Eviscerate procs, ensuring a permanent active bleed on targets. A Damage Over Time multiplier affix is an absolute priority as a Greater Affix on this weapon, with Eviscerate exponentially amplifying any DoT value.

The Seed of Horazon amulet stacks the Hellbent Commander Aspect to increase summon damage — Command Fallen benefits directly from this — and the transfigured Undying AspectUndying Aspect (Undying), which heals up to 4.5% life per skill use after the patch. The two rings carry respectively the Moonrise Aspect to double the benefit of basic skills, and the Aspect of AdaptabilityAspect of Adaptability, which converts Fury generation into Dominance via Durge of Odium, allowing you to spam Tortured Wretch and RampageRampage without restriction.

For gems, place Diamonds in jewelry for resistance, Skulls in the weapon for the physical damage multiplier (the damage type applied by Eviscerate), a Sapphire for Willpower, and an Amethyst for barrier generation. The Igni-Se runes summon constant wolves that apply Vulnerable and Freeze, and Nagu-Prid continuously activates Dark Prison for defensive security.

Horadric Seal S13

This build exploits the Horizon's Chains 5/5 set, which triggers massive bonuses upon using Sigil of Summons: increased attack speed, execution of low-life enemies, and amplified Dominance generation — three mechanics that directly feed the frequency of Eviscerate procs. The sixth slot is occupied by the unique charm Durge of Odium: it generates Dominance per point of Fury consumed and grants a damage bonus proportional to current Fury, making it the engine of the build's offensive loop.

An advanced optimization would be to use a mythic Seal reducing the required set bonuses: this would allow combining simultaneously the Horizon's Chains 5/5 bonus and the Nameless set 3/3 bonus, adding the ritual bonuses from Sigil of Summons. In this configuration, you would need to move Durge of Odium as the main weapon and reposition Mangler's AspectMangler's Aspect to the amulet. This variant remains theoretical for most players without access to a mythic Seal.

Gameplay Tips

The rotation revolves around permanently maintaining Metamorphosis, which is activated at the start of an activity and never deactivated — it grants 1% additional damage per 1,000 bonus maximum life points, a considerable value with this build's stats. Upon entering a group of enemies, place one or more Tortured Wretch at the desired location to absorb incoming damage, then cast RampageRampage to apply a guaranteed 100% Eviscerate on any elite or Boss without an active bleed. This initial Eviscerate triggers the spiral: simply cast Sigil of Summons, summon Ae'grom, and spam Command Fallen to fuel the proc chain.

For mobility, Evade transforms the Warlock into a Lunatic, granting the Unstoppable effect, the ability to pass through enemies, and greatly increased movement speed. This is the build's primary repositioning tool — useful for repositioning around a Tortured Wretch or escaping a dangerous mechanic. In high-level Pit runs, dangerous situations are managed by stacking two or three Tortured Wretch simultaneously: each absorbs a fraction of maximum life before fortifying the character upon death, creating a substantial absorption buffer independent of the TemerityTemerity barrier.

Dominance management is the key to offensive rhythm: any Dominance not used for survival should be spent on RampageRampage to multiply the chances of Eviscerate and accelerate the damage ramp through bleed mechanics. Against packs of normal monsters without elites, the build is less dominant — group enemies with the Wild Bolt Aspect then let Paingorger's GauntletsPaingorger's Gauntlets spread Eviscerate via echo — that is the best approach.

Skill Tree

The build allocates 15 ranks into Command Fallen, activating the Mega Lunatic variant (each cast generates four summons that explode immediately), Damage Per Demon (increased damage per active demon), and Dominance (every 15 hits generates 1 Dominance point). No Core skill is selected. On the defensive side, Tortured Wretch is maxed with the Punching Bag variant (absorbs damage without taunting enemies), Unstoppable (grants the Unstoppable effect on cast), and Duration (extended duration via nearby demon deaths).

Dark Prison is activated by a rune word and not placed on the skill bar — the Weaken variant (Weakens enemies inside the circle), Chain Aura (permanent circle centered on the character), and Missile Slow (slows projectiles by 99%) make it a constant passive defensive barrier. RampageRampage is maxed with the Double Smash variant (second impact per RampageRampage) and Elite Hit Chance (100% Eviscerate trigger on elite/Boss without an active bleed). Sigil of Summons is maxed with Summon Hellwyrm (summons a large demon that duplicates Command Fallen), Stronger Summons, and the damage bonus against enemies inside Sigil of Summons. Finally, Metamorphosis at rank 3 with the Destruction Demon variant guarantees permanent demon form and the damage bonus per maximum life via the Dominance modifier.

Mercenary S13

Raheir is the build's main mercenary, chosen for his defensive capabilities rather than offensive ones — damage output is already maxed, so survival is what Excels. Allocate his nodes on Ground SlamGround Slam and BastionBastion, with the left path recommended to maximize armor and the right path if elemental resistances are lacking. Raheir absorbs some of the aggro and interrupts enemies, giving you time to calmly place Tortured Wretch in critical situations.

Varyana is used as the reinforcement mercenary with the BloodthirstBloodthirst passive (BloodthirstBloodthirst): when it triggers, it grants a temporary attack speed bonus that mechanically increases the frequency of Eviscerate procs via Command Fallen.

Paragon and Glyphs

The paragon philosophy on this build prioritizes durability over raw damage: the Eviscerate spiral already generates infinitely escalating values, so it is survival that determines how long you can sustain that power ramp. Maximum life nodes receive priority on excess points, as Metamorphosis directly converts that life into a damage multiplier (1% per 1,000 bonus maximum life points).

The starting board hosts the Ichor Carapace glyph, which provides a valuable defensive layer. The Fathomless board carries the Death Aura glyph: 15% additional damage per demon summoned in the last 6 seconds, up to a permanent 105% multiplier given the number of active Command Fallen and RampageRampage simultaneously. The Dominion board carries the Demonologist glyph, the highest additive damage gain per Willpower in range, further increased by a 17% multiplier when a large demon is summoned — a permanent condition via the Hellwyrm from Sigil of Summons.

The Demonic Spicules board is dedicated to the Eldritch Sight glyph: increased damage per Willpower against Vulnerable targets, with a stackable bonus up to 18% per hit on a Vulnerable target — a near-permanent condition thanks to the wolves from the Igni-Se rune. Finally, the Greater Hex board hosts the GuzzlerGuzzler glyph (Guzzler), which multiplies damage by Intelligence in range and adds a damage bonus against enemies with missing resource. This board also provides 25% damage reduction against enemies affected by Vulnerable and Weakened, an essential passive reduction in high-level Pit runs.
