Build Overview

@NeverMind's Companion Druid currently stands as one of the strongest Druid builds of Season 13. The demonstration speaks for itself: a clear run of Pit 150, the most demanding tier of endgame content, completed without difficulty. Rather than relying on a direct damage skill, this build delegates the bulk of damage to its animal companions — the WolvesWolves pack and the RavensRavens — while the Druid focuses on buffs and battlefield control.

The strength of this approach lies in its robustness: companions attack continuously without depending on the player's position, freeing the Druid to maintain defensive protections and keep enemies under pressure. The build was refined in collaboration with DMC and IBoilerUp, and relies on a handful of key items — most notably Heir of PerditionHeir of Perdition and Storm Companion — which massively amplify the power of the summons.

Beyond the Pit 150 already cleared, the author plans to push optimization further: refining stats, aiming for a better Boss, reducing clear times, and eventually attempting a Tier 145. This Companion Druid still has plenty of room left to grow.

The centerpiece of the build is Heir of PerditionHeir of Perdition, the mythic helmet that serves as the offensive pillar and shapes the entire construction around its bonuses. Alongside it, the Storm Companion unique PantsPants directly reinforce the summoning theme and amplify the pack's power, making them an essential pick for the build.

The FlickerstepFlickerstep boots provide mobility and fine Evade cooldown management, while the Accord of the Wilds ring consolidates companion-focused bonuses. In the most advanced push variant, the Signet of Pelghain completes the offensive setup by stacking critical and Vulnerable damage multipliers.

The rest of the grid relies on carefully chosen legendary items for their aspects, notably Shepherd's AspectShepherd's Aspect on the weapon — which multiplies summoning efficiency — Aspect of ReanimationAspect of Reanimation on the amulet, and Aspect of the StampedeAspect of the Stampede on one of the rings. The gear grid above details each slot, its affixes, and its gems.

Horadric Seal S13

The build relies on a Horadric Seal combined with a set of Talisman charms to push its stats to the maximum. Depending on the variant, the Old Mountain's Song set or Nafain's Bestiary is favored, complemented by Might of the Ursine and a mythic seal. The full configuration is displayed in the viewer below.

Gameplay Tips

The absolute priority is to summon and permanently maintain your companions: the WolvesWolves pack and RavensRavens are your primary damage source and must remain active at all times. As long as your summons are alive, your role is simply to keep pace and guide them toward priority targets.

On the survival side, always keep an eye on your defensive protections: trigger Earthen BulwarkEarthen Bulwark and Cyclone ArmorCyclone Armor before damage spikes to absorb the most dangerous hits. Debilitating RoarDebilitating Roar weakens grouped enemies and reduces pressure on your companions, while Grizzly RageGrizzly Rage serves as both an offensive window and a safety net in tense moments.

In Boss encounters, mind your positioning and that of your summons: stay in range so the pack maintains aggro while avoiding dangerous zones. Watch your Spirit to never run short of resource when refreshing your buffs, and take advantage of the mobility offered by FlickerstepFlickerstep to quickly reposition the fight.

Skill Tree

The tree prioritizes summons as the damage core, with WolvesWolves and RavensRavens maxed out, supported by a solid defensive and utility foundation built around Earthen BulwarkEarthen Bulwark, Cyclone ArmorCyclone Armor, Debilitating RoarDebilitating Roar, and Grizzly RageGrizzly Rage. Some variants also include Poison CreeperPoison Creeper for additional crowd control. The full allocation can be viewed in the viewer below.

Mercenary S13

The build uses Subo as the primary Mercenary for his utility and crowd control role. His Wire TrapWire Trap immobilizes and snares enemies, giving your WolvesWolves and RavensRavens all the time they need to focus their damage. A reliable option for stabilizing the densest waves as well as Boss encounters.

Paragon & Glyphs

The Paragon progression chains through boards dedicated to summons and survivability, placing the build's key Glyphs: KeeperKeeper, WildsWilds, Earth and SkyEarth and Sky, SpiritSpirit, and WerebearWerebear, all leveled to maximum rank. This sequence maximizes companion damage multipliers while reinforcing the Druid's overall resilience.

The allocation order and the exact Paragon Board paths are detailed in the viewer below, which allows you to follow the node and Glyph placement step by step.
