ENDGAME | PIT PUSH | SPEED FARM BARBARE
Build Overview
The Singer Ancient Barb, affectionately nicknamed "Bro Barb" by the community, is the build
presented by Rob2628 as the best non-bugged DPS of Season 14. This Barbarian relies on a
permanent flood of shouts —
Rallying Cry,
Challenging Shout,
War Cry and
Iron Skin — which summon the Ancients
without interruption and maintain Berserking in an almost permanent fashion. On top of that comes an
unprecedented double ultimate:
Mighty Throw, transformed into an ultimate, and
Call of the Ancients,
whose cooldowns reset each other thanks to a perfectly oiled skill loop. The whole setup produces
hundreds of trillions of damage, extreme resistance made possible by a cyclical
Iron Skin that makes the Barbarian nearly immortal, and a Pit
ceiling that Rob estimates beyond level 140 for this season. Among the S14 highlights, the bugfix of
Ramaladni's Magnum Opus — which now works correctly with the Ancients
summoning skills — opens a new dimension of resource-proportional scaling, further multiplying
the offensive potential of this build.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- S14 record DPS: Rob2628 ranks it #1 among non-bugged builds, capable of clearing Pit 140 and beyond
- Maximum survival thanks to permanent
Iron Skin, making the Barbarian nearly unkillable - Entirely self-sustaining cooldown loop: shouts,
Mighty Throw and
Call of the Ancients reset each other - Permanent Vulnerable applied passively through
War Cry, with no extra effort - Massive new resource scaling thanks to the S14 bugfix of
Ramaladni's Magnum Opus
Cons
- Requires precise endgame gear before functioning fully, notably the cooldown reset Aspect
- Not suited for leveling or fast farming — Rob2628 recommends starting the season with a Whirlwind build
- DPS slightly lower compared to S13: Blizzard nerfed all classes for this season
- The Absorption glyph requires regularly consuming potions to maintain its offensive bonus
Recommended Gear
Loot Table
The offensive pivot of this build relies on the
Tuskhelm of Joritz the Mighty as the
unique helmet: it grants 6 Fury per second, reduces cooldowns by 10%, and provides up to 65%
additional damage once Mythicized, as long as Berserking is active — a condition met in near-permanent
fashion thanks to spammed shouts and the
Aspect of Heavenly Strength
on the chest. The
Edgemaster's Aspect at the gloves amplifies damage when
resources are at maximum, a direct synergy with the scaling of
Ramaladni's Magnum Opus.
Arreat's Bearing at the pants is another fundamental pillar: this unique
significantly amplifies the number of Ancients summoned by non-ultimate skills while adding a
particularly high damage multiplier — and can also be Mythicized for even greater multipliers.
For the two-handed weapon,
The Grandfather
arrives in S14 with a guaranteed critical strike chance, masterworkable up to approximately 30%
additional crit, a welcome change for this critical strike-oriented build. For the one-handed weapon,
Ramaladni's Magnum Opus — guaranteed at maximum resource upon dropping in S14 —
now scales correctly with the Ancients summoning skills thanks to the bugfix, multiplying
damage proportionally to every available Fury point.
On the Aspects side, the
Conceited Aspect fully benefits from the Barrier permanently
generated by
Iron Skin. The Crushing Aspect on the two-handed weapon
replaces the Banished Lords, heavily nerfed for this season. Progenitor's Aspect ensures a
constant summoning of Ancients through all relevant skills, while the
Aspect of Apogeic Furor
allows chaining ultimates without interruption.
Vehement Brawler's Aspect on the first
ring and
Wildbolt Aspect at the boots complete the setup by
maximizing Vulnerable damage and combat mobility.
Horadric Seal S14
For the Horadric Seal, Rob2628 recommends targeting the Bul-Kathos set with combat skills as
priority targets: each shout that summons the Ancients benefits from the very high damage multipliers
offered by this set, making the choice of set bonuses a decision directly tied to the performance of
the
Call of the Ancients. For the main seal, the Emblem of Starbreaker
provides around 73% additional damage multiplier in charm form — a powerful piece that does not need
to be mythic to be effective. Rob notes that any seal offering critical damage and a multiplicative
multiplier to Ancients skills damage will work perfectly fine, without requiring mythic pieces in
this slot.
Gameplay Tips
The rotation of this build relies on a simple principle: spam all shouts and both ultimates as soon
as they are available. Start by activating
Rallying Cry,
Iron Skin,
Challenging Shout and
War Cry
to apply all buffs and permanent Vulnerable on enemies — the latter applying Vulnerable automatically
on each cast. Then chain into
Call of the Ancients
as soon as it is ready. When
Call of the Ancients is on cooldown, activate
Mighty Throw: this instantly resets the cooldown of
Call of the Ancients. The shouts themselves, through the
Marshal glyph,
reset the cooldown of
Mighty Throw. The loop is complete: by
spamming all buttons, no skill ever stays idle.
Iron Skin generates a Barrier on each activation, which permanently triggers the
Conceited Aspect and contributes to the Barbarian's extreme durability.
For leveling and early season, Rob2628 recommends starting with a Whirlwind build before switching
to this setup once endgame gear is in place — notably the cooldown reset Aspect, essential for the
loop to function.
Skill Tree
The Skill Tree of this Barbarian is entirely focused on shouts and ultimates, with no points in
Basic or Core skills.
Rallying Cry with the Booming
upgrade ensures resource generation;
Challenging Shout with the Talic
upgrade maximizes the damage of summoned Ancients;
War Cry with the Korlic
upgrade permanently maintains Vulnerable; and
Iron Skin provides survival.
For ultimates,
Mighty Throw (Mightiest + Ferocity + Barrier) serves as the
cooldown reset trigger, while
Call of the Ancients — with the upgrades that
mutually amplify the Ancients' damage by 7 times, plus the Empowered upgrade — constitutes the
build's main DPS engine.
Mercenary S14
Paragon
Rob2628's Paragon configuration relies on five distinct boards. The starting board hosts the
Might glyph (Might), the Blood Rage board carries
Challenger (Challenger), the Decimator board integrates Absorption
(Imbiber) — Rob's choice to maximize DPS, even though this glyph requires regularly consuming
potions; for a more defensive profile, he mentions the Ire glyph as a more defensive alternative. The Warbringer board carries
Wrath (Wrath), and the Flawless Technique board closes with
Marshal
(Marshal). Rob notes that the Paragon configuration has not fundamentally changed compared to the
previous season and that the build will continue to be refined over the coming weeks.
Cooldown Reset Loop
The true strength of the Singer Ancient Barb lies in an entirely self-sustaining cooldown loop.
Here is the cycle: spamming shouts activates the
Marshal glyph,
which resets the cooldown of
Mighty Throw.
Mighty Throw,
upon activation, in turn resets the cooldown of
Call of the Ancients.
By combining all these presses in rhythm, it is never necessary to wait for a cooldown to expire —
all skills can chain without interruption, triggering successive waves of Ancients that produce
hundreds of trillions of damage in seconds.
Rob2628 even mentions having seen players on the PTR exceed a quadrillion damage in a single hit
thanks to this mechanic.
Ultra Endgame Variant — Melted Heart of Selig
At the very end of progression, Rob2628 mentions an optional variant based on the
Melted Heart of Selig as a mythic amulet in place of the main setup.
This substitution loses the immortality assured by the looping
Iron Skin,
but it doubles the resource pool — which, combined with the new Fury-proportional scaling of
Ramaladni's Magnum Opus (S14 bugfix), produces a considerable damage increase.
Rob notes that this variant remains reserved for ultra-endgame and that the Barbarian remains solid
even without full immortality — simply more vulnerable than in the main setup.
The synergy between
Ramaladni's Magnum Opus and
Melted Heart of Selig
is only possible thanks to the Season 14 bugfix on the Ancients summoning skills.
