ENDGAME | PIT PUSH | PIT 133 | SPEED FARM DRUIDE
Build Overview
This Druid Shred build leans on the Druid's dual storm and werewolf identity to squeeze maximum value out of the Storm Shepherd's Call set. Built around
Shred as its main skill and
Lightning Storm to trigger the set bonus, the archetype aims to stack Attack Speed and Spirit generation to reset that damage bonus window as often as possible. Created by NeverMind, this build is presented by its author as the standard version, capable of clearing the Pit past tier 130, with the source video showing a Pit 133 clear. Pushed and properly optimized, the author estimates that Pit tier 135 and beyond remains achievable, with further progress promised later in the season. This guide is aimed at players looking for a burst-damage Druid that relies on precise skill timing rather than constant passive damage.
Strengths / Weaknesses
✅ Strengths
- Explosive damage packed into a 2-second window thanks to the Storm Shepherd's Call set bonus
- Capable of clearing the Pit past tier 130 per the author, up to 135+ in the pushed version
- Has a no-unique version, accessible from the start of the season
- Two different mercenaries depending on the chosen variant, adaptable to playstyle
❌ Weaknesses
- Tested on the PTR, not yet fully optimized according to the author himself
- Partly relies on a snapshot mechanic the author hopes gets fixed before the live season
- Requires precise management of Spirit generation and Attack Speed to maximize the bonus window
- Skill and set bonus interactions may change with patches, per the author's disclaimer
Recommended Equipment
Loot Table
This Druid Shred build's gear is built to squeeze maximum value out of the Storm Shepherd's Call set, in particular the damage multiplier triggered by every Storm skill cast. The author's recommended setup pairs
Gathlen's Birthright on the helm, Dark Howl on the gloves,
Tibault's Will on the
Pants,
Malefic Crescent on the amulet,
Signet of Pelghain and Dirge of Airidah on the rings, plus
Waxing Gibbous in the main weapon slot and Ifeh's Dire Totem in the off-hand. The author himself mentions several alternatives: swapping
Waxing Gibbous for
Azurewrath and moving
Frostburn into a charm slot, or replacing Dark Howl with that same
Frostburn. For the no-unique version of the build, Vulpine's Aspect can be replaced by the Neurotoxic Aspect, or any other well-rolled offensive aspect, as long as Spirit generation stays sufficient.
Horadric Seal S14
This build's Horadric Seal is built around the full Storm Shepherd's Call set, worn as 6/6 charms, with
Frostburn as the unique charm in the Standard version. The recommended Legendary seal combines Critical Strike Damage, extra damage against Crowd Controlled enemies, longer Petrify duration, and an additional charm slot. This setup lets you carry one more charm while further amplifying the burst windows generated by the set, without relying on any specific Mythic seal.
Gameplay Tips
To gain Fortify, the author recommends picking the Fortify and Heal variation on
Earthen Bulwark: combined with the Igni and Que runes, it keeps you Fortified almost permanently throughout the run. Barrier doesn't need to be invested on the skill path either: the
Que rune already grants it automatically via
Earthen Bulwark. As with any burst-focused build, the author reminds players that survival comes before damage: if Spirit generation or survivability feels lacking, he advises prioritizing those areas before investing further into damage — a stable, smooth setup will almost always outperform a build that's theoretically stronger but struggles with resources.
Talent Tree
This Druid Shred build revolves around eight skills split between its lycanthrope spender and Storm skills.
Shred serves as the main skill consuming the generated Spirit, while
Lightning Storm and
Hurricane handle the regular triggering of the set bonus as Storm skills.
Earthen Bulwark and
Cyclone Armor provide the necessary survivability, while
Blood Howl and
Debilitating Roar round out utility and crowd control.
Wolves adds to the offensive toolkit; per the author's notes, this skill can actually replace
Hurricane in the no-unique version if Spirit management gets tight.
Mercenary S14
On the Standard and PTR variants, the main mercenary is Subo, with his
Wire Trap as his headline skill; he's paired with the Aldkin reinforcement.
On the no-unique (Budget) version as well as the 138 Push version, the main mercenary becomes Raheir: paired with the Aldkin reinforcement on the Budget version, and with the Varyana reinforcement on the 138 Push variant.
Paragon
This Druid Shred build's Paragon relies on five boards, with the
Spirit,
Earth and Sky,
Fang and Claw,
Dominate, and
Keeper glyphs. These glyphs primarily boost Spirit generation, Storm damage, and survivability, in line with the goal of maximizing how often the set bonus triggers.
The Storm Shepherd's Call Set and the Snapshot Mechanic
The Storm Shepherd's Call set relies on two stacking bonuses: the 2-piece bonus grants a 60%[x] damage multiplier whenever you cast a Storm skill, which consumes all of your Spirit and keeps this bonus active for 2 seconds. The 5-piece bonus further amplifies this multiplier up to 500%[x] Storm damage, which stacks on top of the bonus already gained from the 2-piece effect. According to the author's notes, it's possible to lock in this x500 multiplier by repeatedly toggling
Hurricane at the very start of the run, until the bonus locks in (a "snapshot"): once achieved, it persists for the entire run and applies to all Storm skills. The author notes that this mechanic still worked on the PTR at the time of writing, but explicitly hopes it gets fixed before the live season — so it may no longer be available as-is once the season launches.
