ENDGAME | PIT PUSH PALADIN
Build Overview
This Season 14 Paladin build revolves around the
Disciple oath, which triggers Arbiter form whenever a disciple skill is cast. Once in Arbiter form,
Wing Strikes automatically seek nearby enemies and become the build's main source of Holy damage. The author, @RageGamingVideos, presents this Wing Strikes Paladin build as a fearsome speed-clearer for Nightmare Dungeons, the Pit, and seasonal Ruptures, as well as an excellent XP farm in Helltides — all without a single mythic item and with gear that's still only partially Ancestral. It's not the strongest option against single-target bosses, but it shines through its simplicity (the core gameplay loop is simply alternating
Fanaticism Aura and
Defiance Aura to maintain a stackable buff) and its ability to comfortably clear Torment 10 within the first few days of the season, with clear room to grow toward Torment 12.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths
- Excellent clear speed in Nightmare Dungeons, the Pit, and Ruptures thanks to the auto-targeting
Wing Strikes - Very accessible gameplay: the core loop is just alternating two aura buttons
- Works from the start of the season, without any mythic item or fully Ancestral gear
- Good survivability thanks to the stacking damage reduction from
Aspect of Glynn's Anvil and
Aspect of Heavenly Strength - Excellent for XP farming and Helltides during early progression
Weaknesses
- Not optimized for pure bossing or sustained single-target damage
- Relies on enough Cooldown Reduction to maintain the
Crown of Lucion stack - Paragon setup still needs reorganizing early in the season (nodes picked up on the fly while leveling)
- Build still evolving: several gear and Talisman slots still need optimizing
Recommended Equipment
Loot Table
Crown of Lucion is the centerpiece of the build: every cast of
Fanaticism Aura or
Defiance Aura grants a stack, up to six, for a stacking damage multiplier — so you need enough Cooldown Reduction to bounce seamlessly between the two buttons without letting the buff drop. On the amulet,
Sanctis of Kethamar adds Attack Speed and boosts
Wing Strikes damage as well as aura potency.
On the legendary aspect side,
Aspect of Glynn's Anvil (chest) and
Aspect of Heavenly Strength (pants, which requires a Two-Handed weapon) form the build's defensive backbone through stacking damage reduction.
Aspect of Celestial Strife (gloves) builds a stacking damage bonus against Vulnerable enemies while in Arbiter form, while
Aspect of Tyrael's Jurisdiction (two-handed weapon) is the main offensive aspect: it makes
Wing Strikes seek nearby enemies and heavily boosts their damage.
Aspect of Ascension (ring) stacks a damage bonus every time you enter Arbiter form, and
Aspect of Holy Punishment (second ring) increases Holy and Fire damage.
Aspect of the Disciple (boots) rounds out the set by weakening enemies hit by disciple skills. Long-term, aspects like
Aspect of Redirected Force or
Aspect of Interdiction offer higher potential once you've invested in Block Chance, but they require more advanced gear to outperform the current values.
For affixes, priority goes to Cooldown Reduction and Faith Regeneration (both essential to maintain the
Crown of Lucion stack), then Critical Strike Chance and damage multipliers. The
Igni and
Gar runes (helm) provide critical strike generation, while
Yul and
Que (pants) offer a welcome defensive barrier during early progression.
Horadric Seal S14
The Talisman is built around the Light's Epiphany set, which combines disciple- and Arbiter-related bonuses and rolls all ultimates into one effect — the author stresses that once you get the six-slot seal, it should be equipped as a priority, prioritizing Light's Epiphany bonuses first and Critical Strike Chance on the remaining charms. The sixth slot is filled by the unique charm
Griswold's Opus to maximize damage, though a more defensive charm can be used temporarily during early progression if survivability becomes an issue. The current seal was upgraded to Legendary rarity thanks to its Critical Strike Chance bonus and its bonus unique charm slot.
Gameplay Tips
The core of the rotation is alternating
Fanaticism Aura (short cooldown) and
Defiance Aura right before it drops, to stack all six charges of
Crown of Lucion and never let the buff expire — the rest of the gameplay is simply staying on the move so
Wing Strikes keep hitting non-stop.
Aegis generates the Resolve stacks needed for
Aspect of Glynn's Anvil, while
Condemn is only invested in for its passive effects (Cooldown Reduction and Movement Speed on hit targets).
For mobility and crowd control, the author recommends using
Consecration for survivability (Fortify, healing, and an area damage multiplier) once content gets more dangerous; early in the season or on easier content, temporarily swapping that point for a faster movement skill remains a viable option. The ultimate
Arbiter of Justice should be fully invested: it extends Arbiter form and directly boosts
Wing Strikes damage.
Talent Tree
The tree goes all-in on both auras:
Fanaticism Aura maxed to 15/15 with the extra passive charge, potency, and the Rite of Vengeance upgrade, and
Defiance Aura also maxed to 15/15 for Maximum Life, potency, and the Rite of Might upgrade, which grants a damage bonus when you gain Resolve.
Aegis is fully invested with the Stay Resolute upgrade, which gives a chance to trigger the effect for free when gaining or spending Resolve.
Condemn only gets one point for its passive effects, along with the Gather the Guilty upgrade to apply Vulnerable and gain Movement Speed.
Consecration stays minimally invested (leftover points are added here at the end of the build) but benefits from Duration, Fortify, and the Holy Ground upgrade for an area damage multiplier. Finally, the ultimate
Arbiter of Justice is fully invested with the Wing Strike recast, Duration, and the Seraph's Wings upgrade, which adds a x200% damage multiplier to Wing Strikes.
Mercenary S14
The main mercenary is Raheir, equipped with
Ground Slam and
Bastion — the latter absorbs 90% of the damage nearby allies would take for a few seconds, a genuine safety shield in close combat. The allocated passives (
Raheir's Aegis for Resistance to All Elements and
Inspiration for a damage bonus against targets hit by
Ground Slam or protected by Bastion) provide a standard mix of survivability and damage for this kind of build.
The reinforcement Aldkin rounds out the duo with
Field of Languish, which deals reduced damage to affected enemies — a classic pick for reducing incoming damage during early progression.
Paragon
The starting board is built around the
Resplendence glyph, which reduces the active cooldown of every non-aura skill each time an aura skill is cast — directly supporting the
Fanaticism Aura /
Defiance Aura cycle described above. The extension into the Relentless board (
Apostle glyph) invests heavily in Cooldown Reduction, essential to maintain the
Crown of Lucion stack once the Talisman is active. The Divinity board (
Spirit glyph) brings a large damage multiplier against Vulnerable enemies as well as critical damage bonuses, while Beacon (
Arbiter glyph) adds a further x90% damage multiplier. Finally, the Castle board (Canny glyph) is oriented toward non-physical (Holy) damage, in line with the build's damage source.
The author notes that this Paragon setup is still a first pass laid out based on proximity to legendary nodes rather than an optimal arrangement: the priority during early progression is grabbing every available legendary node before worrying about glyph alignment, which will be reorganized once more points are invested.
