ENDGAME | PIT PUSH | SPEED FARM VOLEUR
Build Overview
The Rogue is making a strong comeback in Season 13 Lord of Hatred, and @wudijo brings us a simply explosive
Barrage build. Announced as a return to roots after several weeks of intensive cooking on Warlock, this one-button build transforms Diablo 4's Multishot into a true screen-clearing machine: you spam
Barrage, teleport from pack to pack, and watch enemies melt in a cloud of poison.
The archetype relies on
Poison Imbuement coupled with pure scaling on skill ranks and damage over time. No critical hit, no critical damage multipliers: everything is bet on Dexterity, damage against vulnerable enemies, and shared ranks. The result? T12 runs at 110 cleared in under a minute and a half, with Boss melting in about ten seconds even at a relatively modest gear level. wudijo places this build in A tier, and given the untapped potential (glyphs still low, mythics to complete), it could still climb a notch.
The secret to this build's fluidity hides in the
Tibault's Will + Shrouded Gift combo: the talisman paired with the unique
Pants generates a massive resource regeneration whenever you use
Dash or Shadow Step, triggering
Concealment and the Unstoppable buff. In practice, it feels like playing with an infinite energy reservoir.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Phenomenal AoE clear speed in Pit T110+, T12 runs sub-1m30
- Extremely fluid one-button build, ideal for long sessions
- Near-infinite resource sustain thanks to
Tibault's Will + Shrouded Gift - Excellent Boss damage despite the damage-over-time archetype
- Crazy mobility with
Dash and Shadow Step without cooldown thanks to mythic El'Druin
Cons
- Difficult early/midgame phase against Boss without
Tibault's Will - Heavy dependence on generic aspects (marksman buffs do not affect poison)
- El'Druin is a mythic only obtainable via Boss drop, no crafting
- Beru of the Sightless set required for final scaling (and long to complete)
Recommended Equipment
Loot Table
wudijo's gear progression is organized in three main steps: Starter (full legendaries with key aspects), Midgame (introduction of the first structuring uniques), and Endgame (crowning with the two mythics).
On the helm front, the transition from legendary with
Aspect of Disobedience to
Godslayer Crown in midgame brings a very comfortable defensive layer, before the final consecration with
Heir of Perdition in endgame, which multiplies ranks and stat bonuses. An alternative like
Harlequin Crest remains relevant if you're looking for cooldown reduction and more survivability.
For the chest, we keep a legendary with Aspect of Debilitating Toxins across the three steps: this multiplicative mod on poisoned enemies is too important to be replaced by a unique chest. wudijo has tested Materials of the Shroud and strongly prefers this line.
The
Pants Shrouded Gift are THE defensive and mobility pivot: they allow you to trigger
Concealment via
Dash, which synergizes with
Tibault's Will for resource sustain. Never try to replace them.
On weapons, the endgame couple combines Etna's Lost Dagger in main hand (procs and lucky hit) with El'Druin, Sword of Justice in mythic off-hand. The latter cannot be crafted and drops only from specific Boss: before getting it, keep a legendary weapon with a good damage aspect and farm nemesis layers to drop the sword. It's El'Druin that unlocks the total absence of cooldown on
Dash and Shadow Step under certain conditions.
The
Soulwatch Hoop rings host the Aspect of Malice and Aspect of Alchemical Advantage, while the
Ocelot's Eye amulet carries
Aspect of Contamination. Aim to stack Greater Affixes on damage over time, damage against vulnerable enemies, Dexterity, and damage to all.
Horadric Seal S13
The Horadric Seal is the key seasonal mechanic of Season 13 Lord of Hatred. For this Rogue build, wudijo opts for the Beru of the Sightless set (5 charms) combined with the unique talisman
Tibault's Will, which is literally the cornerstone of the rotation: it turns every Unstoppable proc into a resource regeneration fountain. The legendary Horadric Seal completes the package with affixes targeted on Doom Omen, of Glory and Ferocious Aspect.
Why this set specifically? Because Beru of the Sightless set bonuses are generic untyped damage — unlike the Beru of the Narrow Eye set which buffs marksman skills, and which does NOT work with
Poison Imbuement. This is an important subtlety of the build: anything mentioning "marksman" does not interact with the poison beam damage.
Gameplay Tips
The gameplay is childishly simple on paper: you spam
Barrage permanently, keep
Poison Imbuement active (the buff renews automatically), and chain
Dash / Shadow Step every 5 seconds to keep the
Tibault's Will regeneration buff.
The subtlety lies in timing: to benefit from infinite sustain, every dash must trigger
Concealment via the
Pants Shrouded Gift, which grants Unstoppable and activates the
Tibault's Will regeneration for 5 seconds. In practice, you trigger a dash or
Shadow Step every ~5s without even thinking about it since these are our basic mobility tools.
For Boss in early game (before having
Tibault's Will), wudijo advises replacing Shadow Step with
Dance of Knives with its upgrade
Fan of Knives and the energy cost reduction tempering: it allows holding the resource bar on single target while you hunt for the talisman.
On glyphs, don't forget that all sources of "ranks to all skills" are doubly beneficial: they simultaneously boost
Barrage (so the base damage of the poison beam) and
Poison Imbuement (so the poison multiplier). The Vex Rune even triple-dips since it also includes Shadow Clone.
Talent Tree
Mercenary S13
The mercenary hired on this build is Raheir, the Shieldbearer, who brings
Ground Slam as signature skill as well as the passive
Bastion for an extra layer of toughness welcome in T12+ content.
As reinforcement, Aldkin is brought in with
Field of Languish (
Field of Languish) which massively applies Vulnerable on packs, and
Dance of Knives as shared skill to add some proc damage and lucky hit.
Paragon
The paragon board revolves around five boards:
Versatility as the starting board with its glyph
Versatility, followed by
Exploit Weakness with
Tracker as central glyph,
Eldritch Bounty hosting
Fluidity for the resource regeneration bonus (a perfect complement to
Tibault's Will),
Cheap Shot with
Exploit for the multiplier against injured enemies, and finally
Danse Macabre crowned by the
Bane glyph for damage against crowd-controlled enemies.
wudijo specifies that this paragon is largely inspired by Ava's
Dance of Knives guide, with a few glyph and board positioning tweaks. It's a solid base that can be significantly refined as your glyphs level up (going from glyph 100 to 150 unlocks big gains).
