ENDGAME | PIT PUSH | PIT 140 | SPEED FARM SACRESPRIT
Build Overview
This Spiritborn build revolves entirely around
Counterattack, which unleashes swarms of poison that orbit permanently around the character thanks to the
Ring of Writhing Moon. Combined with near-unlimited dashing via
Rushing Claw, this setup lets you tear through zones without ever stopping: a single pass is enough to poison and melt down groups of enemies, with no need to backtrack. It's currently one of the strongest builds of the season, holding the best recorded Pit clear to date (level 142) with its pushed variant.
The version presented here is the versatile variant built for all end-game content rather than extreme pushing. Its biggest strength is a very low entry cost: a few days of farming are enough to comfortably reach Pit level 120, without needing a single mythic item. Build by Mekuna.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Exceptional mobility thanks to a near-permanent dash with
Rushing Claw - Very fast farming with low gear requirements — Pit 120 achievable without a mythic item
- Good survivability despite the lack of offensive stats like critical strike or attack speed
- Versatile: Hell Tides, Under City, bosses, world events — suited to all end-game content
Cons
- Requires 30 ranks in
Ravager to unlock the permanent dash, otherwise mobility is bottlenecked - Still less mobile than the Sorcerer this season
- Gameplay demands constant movement: standing still means losing most of your damage
- This farming version isn't optimized for extreme pushing (a dedicated variant exists for that)
Recommended Gear
Loot Table
The starting point is
Harmony of Ebewaka, which syncs your secondary Spirit Hall and lets all your skills inherit its bonuses. On the chest,
Aspect of Glynn's Anvil grants extra Resolve stacks and survivability, while the pants carry Aspect of Debilitating Toxins to boost your steady poison damage. On the amulet, go for Aspect of Supremacy and make sure to transmog it into
Aspect of Kinetic Suppression as soon as possible (via a Kullean Tuning Prism): it's one of the build's biggest damage multipliers.
The remaining slots — weapon, gloves and secondary ring — are used to stack
Aspect of Pestilence and
Aspect of Infestation, both essential to scale the pestilent swarms summoned by Counterattack. On the
Ring of Writhing Moon, prioritize the damage-over-time multiplier and cooldown reduction. Aim for at least 40,000 Life via the Maximum Life tempering recipe on most pieces to avoid getting one-shot while speed farming.
Horadric Seal S14
The talisman is built around the Kwatli's Grace set (five charms) paired with Protean Heart, which doubles your Dexterity — the build's main stat. Prioritize charms that boost the ranks of the Eagle or Gorilla Spirit skills: both spirits directly raise the ranks of
Ravager and
Counterattack, unlike the Jaguar Spirit which only benefits Ravager.
Gameplay Tips
The rotation is simple: hold down
Rushing Claw to dash continuously through enemies, keep
Toxic Skin up for the extra armor it provides, and press
Counterattack as often as possible since it's your main damage source.
Ravager,
Scourge and
The Devourer can be pressed off cooldown for extra damage and survivability;
The Devourer is best saved for elites and bosses to take advantage of its temporary poison damage bonus.
Never stand still: constant movement is what fuels the build's damage. Your gear is built for speed farming (no critical strike, everything is tuned around damage over time and the vulnerable damage multiplier), so there's no need to chase attack speed on your affixes.
Talent Tree
The tree always invests 30 ranks into
Ravager — a hard requirement for
Rushing Claw to regenerate enough charges to dash without interruption. The rest of the points reinforce
Counterattack,
Toxic Skin and
Vortex, which pulls enemies together to maximize the area of effect of the pestilent swarms, plus
Concussive Stomp for extra utility mobility.
Mercenary S14
The recommended mercenary is Subo, who reveals enemies on the map and applies an extra damage-over-time bonus for a few seconds after each hit — a perfect complement to a build fully built around poison.
Raheir remains a viable support alternative if you want more survivability, especially on tougher content, but doesn't provide the same value as Subo for speed farming.
Paragon
The top priority is unlocking all the legendary nodes before investing in your glyphs. The Convergence board's legendary node (glyph
Fester) requires you to keep moving to trigger — which fits perfectly with the build's playstyle, since retracing your steps after a dash is already enough to benefit from the poison you've already applied. Round it out with the
Menagerist, Canny,
Consumption and
Scourge boards for extra survivability and damage.
Level all your glyphs to 25 first, then to 50, before pushing them to 150 in whatever order you prefer — the exact order barely matters once you hit that threshold.
