A Paladin talent reportedly went from 10/20/30% of your Intellect to 20/40/60%, double what Blizzard had just published on October 15, with no note mentioning it. It is one of the WoW Forever stealth changes that beta tracking sites spotted between October 16 and 21, and the only one of the five for which two sites give the same value. Here is what they report, class by class, and what we could cross-check.
Five WoW Forever stealth changes, with their level of proof
The data comes from two third-party sites. The first, foreverchanges.pro, keeps a log of the server hotfixes applied to the beta and states for each one that Blizzard’s notes do not mention it. The second, wowclassicforever.info, tracks talent data. Both say they read the client’s public hotfix listing. They are therefore not two independent investigations, and neither is Blizzard.

| Class | Change | Date | Confirmation level |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paladin | Champion of the Light: 10/20/30% of Intellect restored to 20/40/60% | Oct. 16 according to foreverchanges.pro; Oct. 20 according to wowclassicforever.info | Two sites agree on the value, not on the date. Nothing from Blizzard |
| Warlock | Amplify Curse: the next Curse of Exhaustion goes from 50% to 20% | Oct. 16 | Single source: according to foreverchanges.pro |
| Priest | Holy Fire rank 1: 57 to 70 damage becomes 53 to 65 | Oct. 18 | Single source with figures: according to foreverchanges.pro. A tracker relays a player report with no figure |
| Hunter | Hunter’s Mark rank 4: 71 becomes 143 ranged attack power | Oct. 21 | Single source: according to foreverchanges.pro, no entry on mmonster.co |
| Shaman | Lava Burst rank 3: bonus against Flame Shock cut from 54% to 20%, like the other ranks | Oct. 21 | Single source: according to foreverchanges.pro, Blizzard only cites the talent’s move |
Paladin : un talent aux quatre valeurs en un mois
Champion of the Light converts Intellect into spell damage for Retribution. Our September 26 article described it at 100% of Intellect. Blizzard’s Paladin Deep Dive, dated October 15, says the talent was cut to 60% and then limited to damage, and sets it at « up to 30% of your Intellect ». The development notes of the same day read « 10/20/30% of your Intellect (was 20/40/60%) ».

Yet foreverchanges.pro dates a hotfix to October 16 that restores the value to 20/40/60%, and wowclassicforever.info records in its October 20 entry that the talent « doubles ». The two agree on the final figure and differ by four days on the date. The gap with Blizzard is clear: its public article says 30%, the two sites say 60% at rank 3. We did not check the talent in game. If you play Paladin, the beta tooltip will settle it.
Warlock, Priest, Hunter, Shaman: a single source each time
For the other four lines, we found no second source. Blizzard’s notes contain neither Amplify Curse nor Hunter’s Mark. None of these four changes appears on wowclassicforever.info. The site mmonster.co, which also tracks hotfixes, relays for October 18 a player report of a « weaker » rank 1 Holy Fire, with no value, and lists nothing on the 21st.
A note on the Priest: on October 15, Blizzard did touch Holy Fire, but to fix the rank 5 periodic damage, which exceeded rank 6. That is a different change from the rank 1 one reported on the 18th. For Lava Burst, Blizzard only moved the talent from the 7th row to the 5th; the 54% rank 3 bonus appears only on foreverchanges.pro, which describes an alignment « like the other ranks ». According to that site, this is a fix for an inconsistency rather than an intended nerf, which nothing allows us to confirm.
For Hunter’s Mark, doubling the attack power granted at rank 4 is the heaviest change on the list, and also the least cross-checked. A hunter can check it on the tooltip in thirty seconds, and should before drawing any conclusion.
The Mage, already covered, and what these WoW Forever stealth changes say about method
The same mechanism hit the Mage’s Frost tree on October 20, with the removal of Piercing Ice and Elemental Precision cut to 3 ranks: we detailed it in our article on the Frost Mage.

From October 16 to 21, six classes were touched with no published note. Foreverchanges.pro ties these changes to build 1.60.1.70450, the beta build of October 15, which fits server-side fixes: changing a value does not require a new client. Two weeks before the November 5 launch, these changes can therefore only be followed in logs kept by fans, not in the official notes.
Facing WoW Forever stealth changes, the practical advice comes down to one gesture: before building around a figure read here or elsewhere, hover the spell or talent in game and compare. Our talent calculator and build pages may lag behind these fixes, as we wrote for the Mage. We found no equivalent tracking in French. If you see a different value in game, tell us in the comments and we will correct the table.
