Cozy Sleeping Bag WoW Forever: Full Quest Chain Guide

The screenshot was shared by Brubby, from the Secret Finding Discord (a community that tracks the game’s secrets), and it confirms what many players were hoping for: the Cozy Sleeping Bag WoW Forever levelers asked about is back, the same Cozy Sleeping Bag as in Season of Discovery. Wowhead reported the news on September 22, 2026, in a story by Serenal.

The quest chain is the same as in 2024, and our guide to the sleeping bag quest on SoD remains broadly accurate. The item itself has changed. Here’s the full walkthrough for WoW Forever, with coordinates and quest names as they appear in the English client.

What the Cozy Sleeping Bag WoW Forever does

You roll out the bag, lie down in it, and every minute spent inside adds 1% to the experience you earn, up to 3%. The bonus lasts one hour. As long as you stay lying down, you also build up rest, just like in an inn.

The item recharges in one hour. In SoD, you had to wait three hours between uses, and the bonus was lost on death. As for death, there’s no word yet on whether Forever keeps the same rule.

Three percent isn’t much on a single kill. Paired with the 5% bonus from cooking, it adds up over a full leveling session. That matters even more since leveling in WoW Forever already takes plenty of time between dungeons and crafting.

Level Requirement and First Stop Based on Your Faction

You need to be level 14 to start the chain. Both factions visit the same two wrecks, in reverse order. In each case, you click on charred remains in the middle of the wreckage.

Alliance: Westfall, Alexston Farmstead, /way 37 50. The remains are in the wreckage of a cart. You accept …and that note you found, then turn it in in The Barrens, south of Camp Taurajo (/way 46 74, at the foot of the burned tower).
Horde: same thing in reverse. You start at the burned tower in The Barrens, /way 46 74, and turn in the quest in Westfall, /way 37 50.

By turning in the note, you pick up the quest Stepping Stones. That’s the one that grants the 12-slot bag the chain leads to.

Stonetalon Mountains: The Abandoned Camp

Head to Stonetalon Mountains. The trail starts northeast of Sun Rock Retreat, around /way 50.9 52.3. Follow it to the abandoned camp, at /way 40.6 52.4. A Pocket Litter sits on a crate: click it to turn in Stepping Stones and pick up Scramble.

In the middle of the camp, an extinguished fire offers a bonus quest, Rekindle. The Simple Wood and Flint and Tinder you got just before are enough. It’s optional but only takes a few seconds.

For Scramble, head straight north up the hill. From the edge, spot the Mound of Dirt at /way 39.6 49.8 and jump on it. A click completes the quest and gives you Wet Job. Aim carefully: falling into the ravine sends you all the way back down.

Loch Modan: The Dam’s Figurine

Head to the dam in Loch Modan, /way 49.4 12.9. The carved heads facing the Wetlands work as stepping stones up to an eagle figurine. A click completes Wet Job and opens up Eagle’s Fist.

For Horde, this is the riskiest step: the dam sits right in dwarf territory. On a PvP server, it’s best to go in a group or at an off-peak hour.

Thoradin’s Wall: The Satchel and the Reward

Last stop, Thoradin’s Wall, on the border between Hillsbrad Foothills and Arathi Highlands. On the Hillsbrad side, a cart at /way 87.3 49.6 lets you climb into the wall. Cross the small room and look right, toward the outside: a Messenger Bag hangs on the wall.

The bag completes Eagle’s Fist and gives you This Must Be The Place. Just below it, the Hastily Rolled-Up Satchel contains the final reward, the Cozy Sleeping Bag.

Student Fodder and Chain Overview

In addition to the Cozy Sleeping Bag WoW Forever brings back, the chain also rewards five Student Fodder. The tooltip hasn’t changed since SoD: « Eat a handful and make up for lost time on the trail! », with a five-minute cooldown. In SoD, each handful granted rested experience. According to Wowhead, in Forever, it restores health instead.

Each step also grants a solid chunk of experience. The real cost is the travel: five zones spread across two continents.

One caveat, noted by Wowhead: on the beta, the chain’s objectives are marked in-game, whereas SoD left them to be discovered.
