Beginners Guide to the Manastorm

Manastorm Setup Tips:

* Prioritize getting the 2h « flasks », then the temporary booster
* Make sure to have the Potion and Cleanse Potion on your bar, you will be chugging the potion!
* For inventory sanity save gold to get a Cogsley (allows you to vendor in Manastorm) and a Bank Pet

Manastorm FAQ:

Do you get more scrolls at higher MS level?

Yes, someone did a trial and it appears so, but not significantly enough for the difficulty ramp you are better off doing more MS faster than higher levels slower.

I want gear from X, should I farm that tier?

If you want specific tier gear (e.g. mythic zg), you are better off farming it from the next tier up (e.g. MC) because you are guaranteed the previous tier but not the current tier in the Cache.

How often do I get a Cache?

If your Character is below lvl 60:
You get a regular manastorm cache every level with world/dungeon loot.

If your Character is lvl 60:
You get the Manastorm Cache based on your Manastorm level every 5 levels
Regardless of Character Level, for every NEW level you clear you will get a Bonus Manastorm Cache

Does the Caches disappear on Prestige?

You can take manastorm caches with you on prestige, useful to twink a character for prestige runs (lvl 1 and lvl 30 are good break points, personally also do one at 50).

Should I go out of my way to kill a Greedy Demon?

Greedy Demons are always worth killing for the 20-25 gold drop, also the dropped loot usually sells for ~9 gold.

I am new, can I get good gear from Manastorms?

Not Really! You can get normal tier gier through daily quest chest, equip your highest level epic gear before opening them.
(as of this time, daily chests gives up to BWL gear which is Manastorm 900-1000)

Is there anything else I can keep buying with the Bolts and Gears?

Once you’ve bought out everything from Millhouse and Cogsley that’s it!

Wiill build X work in Manastorm?

Most builds will work if you slap in self-heal and defensives and can even survive with just spamming the manastorm potion. For high level content you will probably build a self-healing-tank build (see builds below).
