Season 13 Lord of Hatred launches: time to discover the Warlock

Season 13 Lord of Hatred launch Diablo 4

Season 13 Lord of Hatred is arriving in just a few hours. I want to get the site updated as quickly as possible.

Today, I'm presenting the three first Warlock leveling builds posted by English-speaking players. These players had the chance to test the game directly at Blizzard. They therefore have a slight advantage over the rest of the community.

This is a preview of what's coming. Many more builds will drop over the next few days. This season, with no PTR, will truly be a season of discovery for everyone.

If you're looking for strong Warlock leveling builds to get started, here are three options with builders translated into English.

Rampage Build: Warlock Unleash (Goblin Inc / AceofSpades)

The first build on the list is the Warlock RampageRampage, nicknamed BGA by Goblin Inc. This creator has been putting out solid Warlock leveling builds for several years. If you're looking to discover the Warlock and level up fast, this is one of the best choices for this launch.

Even with the nerfs announced by Blizzard, the build literally deals 20 times the damage of a standard skill. The distortion effect is the key: bleeds apply roughly 20 times the direct damage of the skill. Absurd on elites.

How the main skill works

RampageRampage is an archmonster-type skill. It summons a brutal demon for 10 seconds, with a 5% chance to eviscerate enemies with each hit. The main resource is Dominance, the Warlock's purple mana. It regenerates every second and no aspect can increase it.

RampageRampage costs only 10 Dominance. The burst is therefore extremely repeatable on elites and in the Abyss. A short damage window, highly efficient in a loop.

Progression in three stages

Levels 1 to 19. Play Demon Sting for single target. Dread Claws handles AoE. Void Step ensures mobility. A simple and functional kit to blaze through the leveling phase quickly.

Level 20. RampageRampage unlocks its upgrades and becomes the main burst. It is supported by Command of the Fallen to regenerate Fury, and Sigil of Subversion to stack Shadow charges.

Level 40. Sigil of Subversion is replaced by Metamorphosis. This skill transforms active skills into their archdemon variant. The build reaches its full potential at this stage.

Class mechanic and signature piece

The Warlock's class mechanic is Brilliance of the Mind. It multiplies Abyss damage while in Shadow Form. This is the passive foundation that makes bleeding effects so powerful in this build.

The signature piece is the Aspect of Inevitable Fate. Any enemy below 35% health affected by a damage-over-time effect triggers an explosion every 7 seconds. A perfect combo with bleeding effects.

This build is accessible from the very first hour of play and scales strongly toward the end of the Abyss.

Dread Claws Build: the most complete and versatile Warlock leveling build (Rob / Rob2628)

Rob is known for his reliable picks. His Dread Claws S13 build is already validated at Torment 12, with over 100 billion damage per hit and enough survivability to tank a boss entirely.

If you want a build that covers from level 1 all the way to high-level Epitaph content, this is the one.

Why this build is so strong

The main skill, Dread Claws, launches four shadow claws for 32 Fury. It stacks three tags: Essential, Monologue, and Abyss. These three tags scale massively in the end game. The build's power rests on this stack of multipliers.

Basic rotation

  • Curse enemies with Fleo to generate Fury
  • Dread Claws as primary DPS
  • Void Step to stack Shadow Form charges while moving
  • Profane Sentinel on bosses to make them vulnerable

Leveling

While leveling, equip the Slaughter Talisman set. Add generic aspects: Juggernaut for defense, Inner Calm for damage. Rob advises against putting an aspect on your weapon before end game. You'll replace it too often.

End game

Switch to Metamorphosis and Sigil of Subversion. Priority pieces:

  • Signature unique chest Griffe Logo: permanent active banner
  • Tibo's Will on the pants
  • Aspect of Arrogance: multiplies damage by 10 to 30% as long as the orb is active

Mythic pieces

The build is completed with four key pieces:

  • Heir of Perdition (helmet)
  • Ring of Starless SkiesRing of Starless Skies: multiplies all damage
  • Eldwin's Sword: reduces cooldowns and enables permanent transformation
  • Shadow Talus set 5/5: multiplies Shadow damage and Shadow Form charges

Warlock leveling builds — Legion Bombardment: the demonic madness (Ponolf / P4wnyhof)

Author: Ponolf / P4wnyhof Range: Torment 12 Playstyle: Chaotic spam

Ponolf's third build is the craziest of the three: the Warlock Legion Bombardment S13 build. The goal is to rain demons continuously until the screen becomes a demonic storm. This build scales up to Torment 12 with a chaotic and fun playstyle.

The core mechanic: Brilliance of the Legion

Bombardment launches four demons into the ground for 32 Fury. With the right upgrades, you go from 4 to 9 demons per cast.

The loop relies on Brilliance of the Legion. When 200 of your lesser demons die, your next greater demon skill costs no Dominance. Casting a greater demon increases lesser demons' cast speed by 25% for 10 seconds.

The cycle: spam Bombardment (9 demons killed per cast), chain the free summons, accelerate the next Bombardments, repeat. The snowball effect is guaranteed.

Rotation and viscera

The typical rotation opens with Command of the Fallen to generate Fury. Then spam Bombardment, place the Tortured Wretch on the boss (it taunts enemies for 5 seconds, its blades can eviscerate attackers). RampageRampage provides mobility while adding evisceration chances. The Sigil of Subversion creates a ritual that extends summon duration.

The key: stack viscera with evisceration fragments. Each summoned demon prioritizes already-eviscerated enemies and gains 50% movement speed. Each demonology skill has a 2% chance to eviscerate an already-eviscerated enemy. The longer it runs, the more violent it gets.

Equipment and unique signature charms

The four unique signature charms to target:

  • Horason's Grain (amulet): scales Demonology damage based on Fury
  • Agrimus' Schism (chest): multiplies companion demons
  • Safécon (ring): massively boosts Sigil of Subversion
  • Tibo's Will: regenerates 100 primary resource points each time you become Unstoppable

Verdict

This is the most chaotic and most fun of the three builds. It perfectly expresses the madness of the Warlock class in Season 13. The builder links are in the description along with votes for each build, all equipment, aspects, talents, and mercenaries translated.

Good news: the site is now available in English via the button in the top right corner. Handy if you play with the English client and need aspect or item names in their original form. Find all Warlock builds and guides on the kami-labs.fr Diablo 4 hub 🇫🇷.
