45.2 million views as of October 16, and the gist of Rockstar’s X post fits in four words: “original score composers Justice.” On October 15, 2026, the studio released the last GTA 6 trailer before the November 19 launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S: 1 min 18 sec, titled “Launch Trailer.”

On screen, Jason and Lucia try an easy job that goes wrong and drags them into a conspiracy across the state of Leonida. In your ears, something else is going on. The song, “Flower in a Hurricane,” is by Justice, the French electro duo of Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay.

For the first time, a GTA 6 trailer does not rest on a licensed song but on music written for the game. And it comes from France, like two other names already hidden in the game’s album.

Justice composes the GTA 6 score

Rockstar confirmed it on its website alongside the trailer: Justice is composing the score for GTA 6. Shacknews ran the headline on October 15, written by Donovan Erskine, “GTA 6 taps Justice to compose its original score.” Variety followed the same day with a piece by Steven J. Horowitz.

The distinction matters. The score is the composed music that accompanies the action while you play. The in-game radios, for their part, broadcast songs. Vice confirms it: players will hear Justice’s music while playing.

Justice released a first album in 2007, “†,” which everyone calls “Cross.” Three more followed, up to Hyperdrama in 2024. The duo has worked with The Weeknd, Miguel and Tame Impala, and holds three Grammy Awards: the remix of MGMT’s “Electric Feel” (2009), the live album Woman Worldwide (2019) and “Neverender” with Tame Impala (2025). According to Shacknews, this is its first video game.

Bringing in outside musicians is nothing new at Rockstar. The action music of GTA V, in 2013, was already credited to Tangerine Dream, Woody Jackson, The Alchemist and Oh No. What is new is the choice of a French electro duo, and announcing it in a trailer. Shacknews promises more Justice tracks before November 19. Nothing else has leaked about the contents of the score itself.

Flower in a Hurricane: Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard in the credits

“Flower in a Hurricane” brings together Justice, Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Vice, in an article by Brent Koepp, lists the platforms where the single is already available: Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music and YouTube.

The cast pulls in three directions. Tame Impala is Kevin Parker’s Australian project. SZA is an American R&B singer. King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard plays Australian psychedelic rock.

Kevin Parker is no token guest. Together with Justice, he made “Neverender,” the opening track of Hyperdrama, which won the Grammy for best dance/electronic recording in 2025. Rockstar is replaying a pairing that has already won an award. The studio has not said, however, where the song will be heard in the game.

Three trailers, three ways to put GTA 6 to music

The official trailer page shows the date in big letters, November 19, 2026, over an illustration of Jason and Lucia sitting on the hood of a bullet-riddled car.

Both earlier trailers played the American hit card. In December 2023, Tom Petty’s “Love Is a Long Road,” a 1989 track. In May 2025, the Pointer Sisters’ “Hot Together,” a song from the 80s. Two licensed tracks, chosen for the mood they already carry.

The third GTA 6 trailer does the opposite. Nobody had heard the Justice track before October 15, and the trailer sells the album that comes out with the game as much as the game itself.

This GTA 6 trailer remains a showcase, cut to flatter. To see the game without makeup, 25 minutes of GTA 6 leaked on October 10, with a first-person view that was never announced. And the console release will run at 30 FPS on PS5 and Xbox, with no PC version announced.

Daft Punk, Étienne de Crécy: the French Touch on the album

Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album on September 17, with Atlantic Records: 34 original tracks inspired by Vice City and Leonida, out on November 19, the same day as the game. Vice mentions a double vinyl at $49.98, shipping from November 20.

Nine tracks are out so far. Six on September 17: “That’s It” (Yung Lean with Metro Boomin and Future), “RHYNO” (Travis Scott), “Sexy Magic” (Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Étienne de Crécy), “Last Thing You Need” (Morgan Wallen), “Macacoa 2000” (Rauw Alejandro) and a cover of “Bright Lights, Big City,” credited to Jimmy Reed and Keith Richards. Two on October 8, by Fuerza Regida and Cardi B. Then the one by Justice.

Behind “RHYNO” is Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, the helmeted half of Daft Punk, a duo that split in 2021. Mixmag points out on September 18, in a piece by Megan Townsend, that it is his second production for Travis Scott, after “Modern Jam” on UTOPIA in 2023.

On “Sexy Magic,” you find Étienne de Crécy, a pioneer of the French Touch, the French electro movement born in the 90s with Daft Punk, Cassius and Air. Beatportal reminds readers he is the man behind Super Discount and Motorbass.

Three figures of French electro among nine known tracks, and all from the same family: Justice is signed to Ed Banger Records, the label of Pedro Winter, Daft Punk’s former manager. Rockstar’s Florida, with its hurricanes, its 170 species and its six regions, will have a Parisian accent in its tense moments.

25 tracks are still to be discovered. Rockstar has not dated the full list. It will be known by November 19 at the latest.
