Spellbind / MEGA Spellbind Roulette Challenge Guide

Spellbind / MEGA Spellbind Roulette Challenge Guide

This Spellbind and MEGA Spellbind Roulette Challenge guide is intended for Elune, although it may be somewhat useful for A52 as well. This trial challenge may appear to be intimidating at first glace, but it is fairly easy to overcome with either a dedicated build, Weak Auras or simply being observant every 3rd GCD. That said, a dedicated build is likely the easiest route, so this guide will focus on that.

Build

Our will build is focus on passive proc damage and augmenting them, so you will one or two shot most mobs before they are a threat. Our method of attack is Auto Shot. We augment Auto Shot with Arrow of Fire and Frost, Harbinger and Deathbringer, and the rest is to build Attack Power and Spell Power to dish out the damage. Most proc effect talents do not work with Auto Shot, but Harbinger and Deathbringer do.

I’m assuming here that you are not using a pet, due to the MEGA Spellbind mode challenge restriction. Take care not to kill yourself when applying your buffs. Other than that, keep plenty of ammo and Auto Shot your way to victory. The MVP is Harbinger of Flames and Arrows of Fire for damage. Arrows of Frost slows targets and also does some damage.

Bone Spear is not effected by the Roulette Challenge as of this writing, so you can use it at will. It has a longer CD, so I recommend saving it for burst. Autoshot will generate rage, but it is generally slow, so this is another reason to avoid using it on CD.

Gear and Tactics

Use Agility stat allocation. Use Heirloom gear if available (enchanted if possible). If no Heirloom gear is available, then just use what ever you find on the way, in particular from Adventurer Chests from quests. The faster the bow/gun the better. Make sure you have plenty of ammo.

Leveling 1-10 will be slow due to Auto Shot being our only source of damage. It will pick up quite a bit after that however. Once your level 15, most mobs will get two tapped. Save Bone Spear for any beefy mobs. Stutter-step or kite as necessary, stopping or jump-turning in cadence with your range weapon shot speed. Generally you won’t need to bother as your damage will be high enough to take out anything before it reaches you. Avoid quests with elites.

The last tip is not to kill yourself with rebuffing – you will indeed need to pay attention when buffing up.
