ENDGAME | PIT PUSH | SPEED FARM BARBARIAN
Build Overview
This Barbarian
Hammer of the Ancients build exploits the mechanic of
Melted Heart of Selig to become completely immortal. All damage taken is converted to Fury loss instead of Life, and with only 110 HP, the character simply cannot die as long as they maintain their Fury pool. While DPS is moderate compared to Paladin builds, this setup allows you to defeat all Torment 7 bosses safely, without ever needing to dodge a single mechanic.
The build also excels in Pit 100 and is an excellent choice for players looking to unlock T7 achievements without stress. Created by @Rob2628, it is one of the most reliable builds of Season 12 for tackling the hardest endgame content.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths
- Total immunity to all Torment 7 Boss mechanics
- Extremely simple and relaxing gameplay, no dodging required
- Capable of farming Pit 100 efficiently
- Can stand still on Bosses with no risk of death
Weaknesses
- DPS significantly lower than endgame Paladin builds
- T7 Bosses take approximately 90 seconds to kill
- Requires
Melted Heart of Selig as an absolute must-have - Without active Fury, the character dies instantly (110 HP)
Recommended Equipment
Table de Loot
Heir of Perdition on the helm provides an excellent damage and critical hit boost. Mantle of the Mountain's Fury on the armor directly synergizes with the build's high Fury mechanic. The boots
100,000 Steps are essential — they activate the triple bonus of
Walking Arsenal and fully restore your Fury on each activation of the key passive.
The amulet
Melted Heart of Selig is the absolute cornerstone: it redirects all damage to your Fury instead of your Life, making the character immortal. For rings,
Ring of Starless Skies and
Aspect of Anger Management maximize damage and Fury management respectively.
For weapons, a two-handed sword is recommended for Barbarian transmog aesthetics, but Polearm expertise remains mandatory regardless of the weapon type equipped — the weapon planted in the ground pulses and grants considerable attack speed. The
Aspect of Inner Calm rewards static positioning, perfectly suited to a build that stands still on Bosses. As an alternative,
Crown of Lucion approximately doubles damage but exposes the character to death.
Build Variants
The main version of this build prioritizes total immortality with
Melted Heart of Selig and an absolute minimum of Life (110 HP). For players seeking faster clear speed, the variant with
Crown of Lucion offers roughly double the damage. The trade-off is significant: you lose invulnerability and will need to dodge Boss mechanics. This version is better suited for farming regular content than Torment 7 Bosses.
It is also possible to add
Challenging Shout for an additional 50% damage reduction. While not strictly necessary with the immortal setup, this option provides a comfortable safety margin for players new to the build.
Gameplay Tips
The basic rotation relies on sequentially activating
Walking Arsenal: start with
Frenzy (dual-wield), then
Mighty Throw (2H sword), and finally
Hammer of the Ancients (mace). This sequence triggers the key passive of the boots
100,000 Steps and fully restores your Fury.
In Boss combat, remain stationary at all times to maximize the bonus from
Aspect of Inner Calm. Refresh
Frenzy every 3 seconds or so and use
Mighty Throw as soon as its cooldown is available. Keep
Ground Stomp,
Rallying Cry and your shouts on cooldown for maximum buff uptime.
Before entering a Boss fight, make sure your Fury is at maximum by hitting a few enemies in the preceding corridors. The build is virtually invincible as long as your Fury gauge does not reach zero — in active combat, passive Fury generation is more than sufficient to maintain immortality.
Melted Heart of Selig.
Le renfort est sélectionné pour son apport en dégâts passifs, compensant le DPS modéré du build immortel et accélérant sensiblement les temps de kill sur les Boss T7.
Paragon and Glyphs
The starting board uses the
Revenge glyph (or
Might as an alternative). The Carnage board receives the
Crusher glyph, one of the most powerful multipliers in the build. The
Blood Rage board is paired with the
Challenger glyph for the best overall multipliers.
The
Warbringer board is configured by carefully avoiding Life nodes — each additional Life point reduces the effectiveness of
Melted Heart of Selig. The Raph glyph generates Fury on critical hits, reinforcing immortality. Finally, the
Weapons Master board with the
Might glyph multiplies Fury nodes to reach the cap of 820+ maximum Fury.
Immortality Mechanic
The fundamental principle of this build rests on
Melted Heart of Selig: this unique amulet redirects 100% of damage taken to your Fury instead of your Life. With only 110 HP (by removing all maximum Life bonuses from equipment and Paragon), the character cannot be killed by conventional damage.
The key is to keep your Fury above zero at all times. In active combat, the Barbarian's natural Fury generation far exceeds the damage absorbed by the amulet, even against the most powerful mechanics of Torment 7 Bosses. The only real danger occurs if you remain completely inactive for an extended period without attacking.
Rotation
Walking Arsenal
The
Walking Arsenal passive combined with the
100,000 Steps boots is the engine of the build. By attacking with three different weapon types —
Frenzy (dual-wield),
Mighty Throw (2H sword) and
Hammer of the Ancients (mace) — you activate the triple bonus of the passive and instantly restore all your Fury. This mechanic ensures your Fury never drops, making immortality permanent as long as you maintain the rotation.
