LEVELING | ENDGAME | PIT PUSH DRUID
Build Overview
Pulverize is one of the most powerful Druid builds in Season 12, if not the most dominant. The unique
Rotting Lightbringer allows
Pulverize to deal guaranteed Overpower damage without needing any other Overpower source. Combined with the
Shockwave Aspect, each cast of
Pulverize generates additional shockwave hits that massively multiply total damage.
This build solves the historical weakness of
Pulverize: the lack of single-target damage. Thanks to the interaction between guaranteed Overpower and shockwaves, Bosses melt just as fast as packs of monsters. The build assumes you are level 60 with Torment I unlocked.

Recommended Equipment
Loot Table
The helmet
Vasily's Prayer is the defensive cornerstone of the build, transforming
Pulverize into an Earth skill and unlocking synergies with Earth elemental bonuses. The chest
Insatiable Fury provides a massive boost in Werebear form, considerably increasing base damage.
The main weapon,
Rotting Lightbringer, is the essential unique: it guarantees Overpower on every
Pulverize cast, removing the need for Overpower sources on gear. The left hand slot is intentionally left empty to benefit from the two-handed bonus.
For gloves,
Aspect of the Rampaging Werebeast extends
Grizzly Rage and amplifies its damage. The amulet with
Aspect of the Rabid Beast boosts poison damage, while
Aspect of the Ursine Horror on boots transforms
Pulverize into an Earth skill for complete synergy.
The rings leverage
Shockwave Aspect to generate additional hits on each
Pulverize cast, and
Aspect of Retaliation which multiplies damage based on maximum life. The pants with
Ballistic Aspect reinforce the projectiles from shockwaves.
Bloodied Affixes
On armor, prioritize the base main stat (%), then Cooldown Reduction and Attack Speed. On the weapon, Berserking is the priority. For jewelry, the Kill Streak XP bonus is ideal for leveling up in power, otherwise choose according to your preferences.
Masterwork
Masterwork improves an item's stats by 1% per rank up to rank 25. At maximum rank, a random affix receives an additional 50% bonus. Use the Masterwork menu at the Blacksmith and don't hesitate to reroll the last rank until you get the bonus on a recommended affix.
Build Variants
T1-T4 (Progression)
Use this variant as soon as you reach level 60 and unlock Torment 1. It is perfect for progressing from Torment 1 to Torment 4. The only required piece is
Rotting Lightbringer, which drops from Echo of Varshan and Urivar. Any additional Aspects you obtain will significantly boost your power.
Endgame Mythic
The endgame variant integrates optimal gear with Greater Affixes on each piece. The transition from T1-T4 to the Mythic version happens progressively by replacing pieces as they drop. Focus on Greater Affixes on the weapon and amulet first, as their impact is far greater than other slots.
Gameplay Tips
Basic Rotation
Before each fight, stack 6 layers of
Quickshift by alternating
Pulverize (to shift into Werebear) and Maul (to return to human form). Repeat until maximum stacks. Then activate
Grizzly Rage, and if necessary, refresh stacks during Rage.
Movement in Combat
During combat, move and cast
Pulverize simultaneously, in the style of ADC kiting in a MOBA. This movement is very natural on controller. On PC, you may need an extra keybind for lateral movement.
Against Bosses
Against Bosses, circle around them to consistently hit 2 or more poison pools with
Pulverize, maximizing your damage output. Make sure your armor is at or above 1000 during
Grizzly Rage, which provides +30% armor at rank 5.
Elixirs and Incense
Use the Advantage Elixir and the following incenses: Blessed Guide (offensive), Mountain Chant (defensive) and Soothing Spices (resistances). Incense provides a base of 150 armor and 10% resistance to all elements.
Arbre des Talents
Mercenaire
Paragon and Glyphs
With 317 points spent and a priority on Willpower (938), the Paragon board is essential for scaling the build's power. The priority is to unlock all legendary nodes first, as each provides approximately 60% additional damage — a massive gain.
Then unlock your Glyphs and their surrounding stat requirements. Nodes around Glyphs generally offer more damage, while Maximum Life nodes are the best for survivability. The last points go into main stats.
For Glyph leveling: level them all to 15 one by one, then to 46 one by one, and finally balance them up to 100. The exact order doesn't matter at this stage.
Torment 1 to Torment 4 Progression
The first step is to obtain
Rotting Lightbringer. Farm Boss materials in Hellborne Waves or Undercity with Titan's Tribute, then kill T1 Bosses to get the required unique. Once obtained, switch to the T1-T4 variant.
Then farm Paragon XP. Hellborne Waves are excellent for collecting Boss materials. Kill Tormented Bosses at a difficulty you can handle — this provides a good amount of XP and usable or sellable uniques. The Pit is also an excellent way to level up and progress on Glyphs. Aim for 2-3 minute clears for a 70% success rate on Glyphs.
Also remember to Temper and Masterwork your gear for an additional boost. At this stage, don't chase perfect rolls — focus on steady progression. Infernal Hordes, Refinement Tributes in Undercity and Nightmare Dungeons Treasure Breach are excellent sources of Obducite for Masterwork.
Advanced Tips
If you want to use the
Qax rune in mid-game to significantly improve your damage potential, you may encounter resource generation issues. If you have a Greater Affix for Resource Cost Reduction, this problem disappears.
For movement speed, the
Jah rune improves mobility. If you find your speed insufficient, Metamorphosis Powder offers a 70% movement speed boost.
