ENDGAME | PIT PUSH DRUIDE
Build Overview
This Druid build created by @Moxsy exploits the core mechanic of the Lord of Hatred expansion: the new Season 13 set bonus that amplifies earth skills. The concept revolves around
Boulder transformed into a primary skill thanks to Tibault's Will, which turns it into a no-cooldown primary skill that permanently orbits around you, hitting enemies at a staggering speed in Werebear form.
The petrification mechanic is at the heart of the build. Each enemy hit four times accumulates petrification stacks and becomes petrified — which stuns it and makes it Vulnerable to 100% bonus critical damage. On top of that comes the five-piece set bonus: petrified enemies absorb your damage, then explode for 200% of the absorbed amount. These explosions chain-react when enemies are grouped together, creating a devastating cascading detonation effect. @Moxsy reports damage in the trillions on training dummies after just one day of gameplay, and the build has already pushed him to Pit Tier 12.
Werebear form is maintained permanently thanks to
Grizzly Rage, which grants up to 200% additional damage as hits accumulate. The build relies on Resolve stacks for two simultaneous reasons: each Resolve stack grants 1% critical strike chance to
Boulder (42 stacks = 42% critical chance), and Might of the Ursine — the unique item from the Horadric Seal — converts those stacks into a massive damage multiplier in Werebear form. Survival is handled through a constant cycle of barriers via
Earthen Bulwark, which makes the character Unstoppable and triggers the Tibault's Will bonus (50 Spirit regeneration per second), covering the resource cost of
Boulder.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Massive damage from day one thanks to the chain explosions of the petrification set
- 100% critical strike chance easily achievable with Resolve stacks
- Exceptional survivability thanks to the permanent barriers from
Earthen Bulwark and
Cyclone Armor - Excellent mobility by combining
Claw (dash) and the Movement Speed from Berserking - Lightning-fast AoE clear: petrification explosions chain-react across enemy packs
Cons
- Leveling with this build is difficult due to the Spirit cost of
Boulder — you need to accumulate the set and certain items first
Grizzly Rage is not maintained 100% of the time (92-second cooldown, 30-second uptime), creating windows without the maximum damage multiplier- Endgame mythic builds (with
Heir of Perdition and
Ring of Starless Skies) are difficult to complete

Loot Table
The build has two configurations: a No-Mythics version accessible from the first days, and a full Endgame version. In No Mythics, you wear an
Aspect of the Ursine Horror on the helmet to amplify your Werebear form effects, paired with Glynn's Anvil Aspect on the chest to maintain your damage while you stack barriers.
The gloves carry the
Crashstone Aspect, directly tied to your primary skill
Boulder, and are the most important piece for maximizing your critical strike damage and physical damage — aim for Greater Affixes on critical strike damage and physical damage. Tibault's Will is essential for the build to function: without it, you cannot cover the Spirit cost of
Boulder. If yours have Thorns on them, it's suboptimal but functional — what matters is triggering Unstoppable via
Earthen Bulwark.
The boots carry the
Aspect of Anger Management which, combined with the massive Spirit regeneration from Tibault's Will, allows you to remain constantly above 50 Spirit and therefore maintain Berserking permanently, translating into a continuous 45% damage multiplier. Prioritize the rank of
Boulder on this slot. For rings, the Fractured Runestone is central: it grants up to 100% bonus critical damage to your earth skills as soon as you have four Overpower stacks — something you gain passively every 10 seconds. On the polearm, the Aspect of Arrogance rewards you for having an active barrier, which is practically your permanent state on this build.
In the Endgame version,
Heir of Perdition replaces the legendary helmet and
Ring of Starless Skies replaces a legendary ring — the latter reduces the resource cost of
Boulder down to 30, making Spirit management even more comfortable. The amulet is ideally a piece with as many different multipliers as possible (Vulnerable damage, physical damage, primary skill damage) — avoid Movement Speed in favor of true damage stats.
Horadric Seal S13
The build uses the of the Old Mountain set (Druid_04), a collection of five charms (Phoba, Fer, Mlor, Linta, Beru) that fuel and amplify the petrification and Werebear form mechanics. The unique charm Might of the Ursine is the centerpiece: it converts each Resolve stack into 13% bonus damage in Werebear form — with 42 stacks, that's a minimum 420% multiplier, and this number only increases as you min-max. The Horadric Legendary Seal completes the setup by adding an additional power bonus to your entire kit.
Gameplay Tips
The rotation of this build is intentionally simple: keep all your buffs active, then simply hold down the
Boulder button. The priority is to constantly maintain
Debilitating Roar (nearby enemies deal 45% less damage),
Poison Creeper for the poison aura, and
Cyclone Armor passive for your 96.5% resistances. Activate
Grizzly Rage as soon as it's available — its 30-second uptime gives you the most important damage multiplier in the build.
Use
Claw as a movement tool, not as an attack. The
Claw dash literally teleports you across the screen to the next enemy pack, while stacking Ferocity charges (up to 4 charges of 5% attack speed). For the Pit, cast it in Werebear form to activate the node that grants both Berserking and Overpower stacks, maximizing your offensive uptime.
Actively trigger
Earthen Bulwark to maintain your barrier and trigger Unstoppable — this is what activates the 50 Spirit per second regeneration from Tibault's Will. Your runes also trigger free
Earthen Bulwark procs that benefit from all your skill tree nodes, including Unstoppable, giving you barriers almost continuously without any input on your part.
Cyclone Armor passively grants Fortify, permanently maintaining your bonus life pool.
For Boss fights, group additional enemies around the Boss before spamming
Boulder: the petrification explosions from adds will hit the Boss and chain in every direction. The white (non-critical) explosions visible in your damage numbers are normal — these are petrification explosions that cannot crit, but they faithfully reflect the damage actually absorbed by the enemy. Prioritize Tempering maximum Resolve stacks on all your equipment slots — it is the most impactful modifier in the build, both for damage and survivability.
Skill Tree
Mercenary S13
Raheir is the primary mercenary for this build. His
Ground Slam skill allows him to initiate combat and apply pressure, while
Bastion is the signature skill that makes him a top-tier tank: he generates a damage-absorbing shield for both you and himself, providing an extra layer of survivability that pairs perfectly with your own permanent barrier mechanic. Raheir is particularly effective in high-density situations where you need him most.
Aldkin is recommended as reinforcement. His allocated passives allow him to provide offensive support through his area abilities, complementing your natural AoE. Activate him as a priority when facing elites or Bosses to capitalize on his damage burst.
Paragon
The build's Paragon tree revolves around five boards that amplify every facet of the kit. The starting board with the
Earth and Sky glyph lays the foundation: your earth skills gain 70% additional critical strike damage, and the magic nodes surrounding the glyph amplify your damage against crowd-controlled enemies — exactly what you apply permanently through petrification.
The Earthen Devastation board with
Fang and Claw reinforces your Werebear form and close-range damage, and provides a solid amount of flat Life through the passthrough nodes. The Ancestral Guidance board hosts
Dominate: after spending 75 Spirit, you deal 40% more damage for 5 seconds — and since you spam
Boulder without interruption, this bonus is nearly permanent. The Survival Instincts board with
Outmatch exploits your permanent full Life (30% to 45% additional damage in Werebear form) as well as your Overpower stacks for an additional multiplier.
Finally, the Heightened Malice board with
Spirit rounds out the setup by exploiting the poison from
Poison Creeper: as long as a poisoned enemy is nearby, you gain 35% additional damage, plus 5% for each additional poisoned enemy up to four — up to 55% passive damage bonus simply by walking near enemies affected by your
Poison Creeper. The
Spirit glyph enhances your critical strike damage and increases the damage enemies take from you after a critical hit.
