ENDGAME | PIT PUSH NECROMANCIEN
Shadowblight Necromancer Build Overview
This S-Tier Shadowblight Necromancer build by Mekuna is currently one of the strongest in the class, if not the strongest. It revolves entirely around the key passive
Shadowblight to deal massive AoE damage through Shadow
Corruption.
This is a Pit-focused push build designed to reach the highest possible tiers. It requires a fully geared character to function properly — it is recommended to use a Golem build to progress from T1 to T4 and farm the necessary gear before switching to this setup.
The build has cleared Pit 122 and remains the benchmark for any Necromancer looking to push the limits of difficult content. It was developed in collaboration with the [INF] community.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths
- Currently the strongest push build for the Necromancer
- Excellent AoE damage thanks to
Shadowblight - Relatively straightforward rotation once mastered
- Very strong crowd control with
Corpse Tendrils and
Corpse Explosion
Weaknesses
- Requires full gear to be viable
- Not suited for general farming or content other than pushing
- Fragile survivability if positioning is poorly managed
Recommended Equipment
Table de Loot
Heir of Perdition in the helm slot is the core item of the build, massively amplifying Shadow damage that feeds
Shadowblight. There is no direct alternative for this build.
Shroud of False Death in the chest slot enhances survivability while providing synergies with the Necromancer's death mechanics.
Blood Moon Breeches in the pants slot amplifies curses, which boosts the damage of
Shadowblight applied to cursed enemies.
Aspects are crucial:
Aspect of Grasping Veins on gloves synergizes with
Corpse Tendrils for critical strike chance, while
Aspect of Decay on the amulet and
Blighted Aspect on the weapon directly boost
Blight damage and
Shadowblight spread.
Aspect of the Cursed Aura on boots automatically applies curses around you, activating
Blood Moon Breeches bonuses effortlessly.
Sacrificial Aspect and
Aspect of the Damned on rings complete the damage multipliers tied to Book of the Dead sacrifices and curses.
Bloodied Affixes
Season 12 Bloodied items provide a significant boost. Here are the Bloodied Affix priorities for this build:
- Armor: % Main Primary Stat > Cooldown Reduction / Attack Speed > rest
- Weapon: Berserk > rest
- Jewelry: Kill Streak XP for leveling, otherwise personal preference
Masterworking improves an item's stats. Each Masterworking rank increases base stats and all affixes by 1%, up to 25 ranks. At maximum rank, a random affix receives a 50% bonus — this can include a Tempered affix or a Greater Affix. Use the
Masterworking menu at the Blacksmith and don't hesitate to re-roll the last Masterwork until you hit one of the recommended stats.
Shadowblight Necromancer Build Skill Rotation
This build's rotation follows a precise cycle to maximize
Shadowblight damage:
- Cast
Soulrift as soon as it's available — it's your primary damage source. - Group mobs with
Corpse Tendrils to maximize AoE. - Use
Corpse Explosion on cooldown for crowd control and blood orb generation. - Cast
Reap every 3 to 4 seconds to maintain the damage reduction and attack speed buff. - Apply
Blight on packs to amplify damage through associated buffs.
The goal is to keep
Shadowblight active at all times through constant Shadow damage application via your skills. Each Shadow damage source stacks
Shadowblight on enemies, creating a devastating AoE damage explosion.
Book of the Dead
In this build, all three types of Book of the Dead minions are sacrificed for their passive bonuses. Skeletal Warriors, Skeletal Mages, and Skeletal Golems are all sacrificed — no minions are active. This allows you to benefit from
Sacrificial Aspect bonuses, which amplify damage based on the number of sacrifices made.
Build Variants
The main variant of this build is push-oriented (Pit / Tier). This is the optimal setup for reaching the highest possible tiers, but it is not recommended for other activities.
For general farming and T1-T4 progression, it is strongly recommended to use a Necromancer Golem build, which offers much better survivability and a more comfortable gameplay experience for collecting the gear required for this Shadowblight build.
Gameplay Tips for the Shadowblight Necromancer Build
Positioning is crucial in this build. Stay at medium range from mob packs and use
Corpse Tendrils to group them before unleashing your AoE damage. Never stay still for too long — this build's survivability depends on constant movement.
Make sure to keep the
Reap buff active at all times (every 3-4 seconds). The damage reduction and attack speed boost it provides are essential for both survivability and DPS.
In high Pits, prioritize elites and use generated corpses to fuel
Corpse Explosion. The synergy between corpses, blood orbs, and
Shadowblight is what makes the Shadowblight Necromancer build so powerful in difficult content.
Arbre des Talents
Mercenaire
