ENDGAME | PIT PUSH | SPEED FARM NECROMANCER
Necromancer Golem Build Overview
This Necromancer Golem build leverages the power of the new God Slayer Crown mythic helm to pull all enemies into a single point, then obliterate them with your golem explosions. The concept is straightforward: the
Decrepify curse aura from your Deadifier boots continuously draws nearby monsters in, while the Fell Gluttony aspect detonates your golems on each activation, dealing devastating physical damage to all clustered enemies.
The Necromancer Golem gameplay is extremely relaxing: you move forward, enemies get pulled in by your aura, and you spam
Golem to trigger chain explosions. The build excels equally in the Pit and against Bosses — including Tormented T5 Bosses — thanks to concentrated damage on grouped targets and Fist of Fate multipliers reaching up to 300%.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths
- Extremely simple and relaxing gameplay — spamming a single skill is all you need
- Excellent Pit farming thanks to automatic enemy grouping
- Powerful against Tormented T5 Bosses with Fist of Fate multipliers
- Passively generated Barrier for solid survivability
- Works well even with mediocre gear
Weaknesses
- Requires the God Slayer Crown mythic helm to reach full potential
- The 4-second Golem cooldown is critical and difficult to achieve
- Heavily reliant on attack speed (minimum 100% for Cult Leader)
Recommended Gear
Table de Loot
The centerpiece of this golem necromancer build is the God Slayer Crown, the mythic helm that pulls all nearby enemies toward a central point. Combined with the Deadifier boots that apply a
Decrepify aura, monster grouping becomes permanent and automatic, increasing damage taken by targets by up to 40%.
For the chest armor,
Shroud of False Death is ideal for its passive bonuses. If you don't have it yet, a rare chest with the
Aspect of Hardened Bones and a +1 to
Golem works perfectly in the meantime.
Fist of Fate is essential for keeping enemies permanently Vulnerable and providing a chance to multiply your damage by 300%. Prioritize a Greater Affix on Vulnerability chance. Blood Breaches boosts your damage against Cursed targets and provides additional
Golem mastery.
The
Sacrificial ring amplifies all your Book of the Dead sacrifice bonuses. Temper
Golem cooldown reduction on this ring and aim for a tempering crit to reach the 4-second cooldown. Green Bloom summons three additional golems that attack with 6% more damage and 30% increased attack speed.
For the weapon,
Aspect of the Great Feast increases your minion DPS. On the shield, prioritize damage reduction (ideally as a Greater Affix) and temper damage or
Golem cooldown.
Necromancer Golem Book of the Dead
The Book of the Dead is configured to maximize passive damage for the build while reinforcing your resistances:
- Skeleton Warriors: Sacrificed for all resistances, significantly strengthening your survivability and allowing you to cap your resistances
- Skeleton Mages (Cold): Sacrificed for Vulnerability damage — a major multiplier amplified by the
Sacrificial ring - Blood Golem: Active with the second option for 50% bonus damage — this is your main skill, it must stay summoned
Necromancer Golem Build Variants
If you want even more damage against elites in the Pit, you can replace
Aspect of the Great Feast with
Lidless Wall to stack more elite damage through the Paragon board. This variant trades some minion DPS for better Pit pushing.
For runes,
Neo generates your Barrier passively, while the
Que rune converts the Essence recovered by your golems (via Fell Gluttony and the Essence generation passive) into automatic bonus damage.
Necromancer Golem Gameplay Tips
The rotation is minimal: move forward, let your boots' curse aura pull in and debuff enemies, then spam
Golem continuously. Your golems explode and obliterate everything grouped at the same point.
To maximize your damage, cast
Bone Prison then immediately cancel it: this activates a damage buff via the corresponding passive without immobilizing your targets.
Corpse Tendrils provides an additional pull if enemies stray from the vortex. Keep
Blood Mist as a panic button for dangerous situations, and maintain
Army of the Dead active as often as possible for additional DPS.
Reap is on your bar primarily to proc the shadow passive that increases your damage, but also serves as additional damage reduction when needed.
Critical point: You must reach 100% attack speed to maximize the
Cult Leader node on the Paragon board. The attack speed from your passives and weapon does not appear on the stat sheet — mentally add these bonuses to your displayed total to verify whether you hit the threshold.
Golem Cooldown: The 4-second cooldown is the minimum achievable and absolutely essential. Temper
Golem cooldown reduction on multiple pieces and aim for tempering crits to achieve it.
Arbre des Talents
Mercenaire
Paragon and Glyphs
The Paragon is built around the synergy between physical damage and damage to Cursed targets. Start with the starting board, focusing on critical strike damage and Essence nodes. The Corporal glyph on the first board increases all your physical damage and buffs nearby nodes.
The
Cult Leader node is absolutely crucial — it multiplies your minion DPS. You must reach 100% attack speed to get the most out of it. The next board is dedicated to
Golem damage with the Dead Raiser glyph, which amplifies summon damage within its radius.
The board with
Scourge provides 50% increased damage to Cursed targets — a massive multiplier since your aura permanently Curses all nearby enemies. Finally,
Flesh-eater capitalizes on your golems consuming corpses via Fell Gluttony, and the
Amplify glyph further increases damage to Cursed targets and elite damage.
Cursed Aura and Vortex Synergy
The combination of God Slayer Crown and the Deadifier boots creates a permanent vortex effect: enemies are pulled toward you while simultaneously being debuffed by
Decrepify. This aura also reduces your cooldowns with each hit, allowing you to spam
Army of the Dead far more often than expected. In the Pit, this vortex transforms every room into a single explosion point — advance, group, explode, repeat.
