ENDGAME | SPEED FARM PALADIN
Build Overview
This divine shield paladin build — the "Captain America" version by Rob2628 — is a devastating speed farm variant that requires no mythics. Thanks to the synergy between the God Slayer Crown and the Sam / Vat runes, the build automatically pulls all enemies together and destroys them in the blink of an eye.
The result is impressive: Pit 100 runs in under 90 seconds, without a single mythic equipped. The rotation is extremely simple — dodge, attack, dodge, attack — and the build automatically triggers
Blessed Shield via the
Veil of Steel, making the gameplay incredibly fluid and accessible.

Weaknesses
- Requires "Attacks reduce Dodge cooldown" on boots — mandatory affix

- Crit chance needs Masterwork optimization to reach full potential
Recommended Equipment
Table de Loot
The God Slayer Crown is the cornerstone of this speed farm build. Every crowd control attempt triggers the Vat rune, constantly pulling enemies toward the Paladin. Combined with the Sam rune, repeated dodges permanently trigger the pull effect, creating a devastating monster vacuum.
The
Veil of Steel is absolutely essential: it automatically triggers
Blessed Shield (the only main skill equipped) without spending any resources. That's what makes the build so fluid — no
Ring of Starless Skies or other mythics needed to function. Griswold's Sword and the
Ward of the White Dove form a formidable offensive duo that doubles damage output.
On boots, the "Attacks reduce Dodge cooldown" affix is an absolute must — without it, the dodge/attack rotation simply doesn't work. Ideally, place duration on gloves and dodge cooldown reduction on boots for the optimal setup. The amulet carries max stacks of
Resolve and Celestial Drive.
For runes, the Sam + Vat combo is the heart of the pull system. If you don't have the
Heir of Perdition, the
Gar rune compensates for the lack of crit chance with an additional 25% bonus.
Build Variants
The variant presented here is the Speed Godslayer without mythics version, optimized for speed farming. Rob2628 also offers a version with uber items to push even further in the Pit, but this no-mythics version is already capable of clearing Pit 100 in 90 seconds.
If you own the
Heir of Perdition, you can replace the
Gar rune and benefit from much higher crit chance without any extra effort. The
Aspect of Ascension is a viable option for pushing, but it slows down the speed farm pace and is not recommended for this speed variant.
Alternatively, you can replace
Consecration with
Aegis based on personal preference.
Consecration helps weaken enemies, which is particularly useful in the no-mythics version where crit chance is more limited.
Gameplay Tips
The rotation is remarkably simple: switch to Avatar form, then alternate dodge and attack on repeat. The
Veil of Steel automatically triggers
Blessed Shield on every attack, so you never need to press that skill manually.
Use
Clash as your main attack skill. A crucial setting: in the game options, go to Controls, then "Hold Position" and assign it to Shift + your
Clash key. This forces the game to attack in place instead of walking toward enemies, which is essential for maintaining the dodge rhythm.
For pre-buffing, use an Iron Elixir,
Ancient Times,
Soothing Spices, and Thorns. At the start of each run, activate Avatar then immediately begin the dodge/attack rotation. Move through enemy packs when the God Slayer Crown groups them to maximize area damage.
Paragon and Glyphs
The Paragon Board uses the
Spirit,
Chip,
Castle, and
Sentinel boards. The build permanently maintains
Resolve stacks thanks to the
Veil of Steel which prevents them from being spent.
Shieldbearer and Arbiter Relentless bring considerable multipliers (18x and 12x). The
Outmatch glyph further amplifies damage against controlled enemies, synergizing perfectly with the constant pull from the God Slayer Crown.
Combat Rotation
The rotation breaks down into three phases. First, activate Avatar to enter combat form. Then, hold the
Clash key set to "Force Attack" and alternate: dodge, attack, dodge, attack. Each dodge triggers the Sam rune which activates the God Slayer Crown via Vat, grouping enemies. Each attack consumes
Resolve stacks via the
Juggernaut to double damage, while the
Veil of Steel fires
Blessed Shield for free.
"Hold Position" Setup
This setting is absolutely critical for the build to function correctly. Without it,
Clash makes your character walk toward enemies instead of attacking in place. To enable it: Options > Controls > "Hold Position" > assign Shift + your
Clash key (for example Shift+Q). Once configured, the game forces attacks in a fixed position even without holding Shift, allowing you to chain dodges and attacks without interruption.
