ENDGAME | PIT PUSH | SPEED FARM PALADIN
This is the complete guide for the build Paladin Divine Lance in Diablo 4 Season 12, also known as the Drilladin — one of the most powerful and fun endgame builds of the season.
Moni +
Godslayer Crown Synergy
This build — Paladin Divine Lance (Drilladin) — has its core in the interaction between the
Moni,
Wat rune combo and
Godslayer Crown. Since
Divine Lance is classified as a mobility skill, each use triggers the
Moni +
Wat combination extremely fast.
Godslayer Crown then pulls all nearby enemies together, grouping them to be pierced by the giant drill. The result: entire packs of monsters are destroyed in a single pass, with damage spikes reaching hundreds of billions.
Arbiter Form and Movement Speed
Divine Lance gains a damage multiplier based on your movement speed. Outside the
Arbiter form, this multiplier caps at around 14%. But as soon as you activate
Condemn — which triggers the
Arbiter form via Disciple's Oath — the seraphic wings grant you 100% additional movement speed, pushing the multiplier up to 30%. Additionally,
Tip of the Spear doubles your steps and grants considerable attack speed. Keep
Condemn active at all times to take advantage of these bonuses.
Build Overview
The "Drilladin" is a Paladin build centered around
Divine Lance that transforms this mobility skill into a truly devastating drill. Thanks to the
Moni and
Wat rune combination, each
Divine Lance pulls enemies with
Godslayer Crown before piercing them for hundreds of billions of damage. The build exploits the fact that
Divine Lance is classified as a mobility skill, which activates the Moni synergy extremely fast.
Capable of completing Pit level 100 in under two minutes, this build offers ultra-dynamic gameplay based on permanent dodging with
Argent Veil. You chain attack, dodge, attack, dodge in a loop while keeping
Condemn active to pull monsters and activate your damage multipliers. It's one of the most visually spectacular and fun builds of Season 12 for the Paladin.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths
- Massive AoE thanks to the size temper on boots (+110% size of
Divine Lance) - Ultra-fast gameplay and visually spectacular
- Permanent mobility with infinite dodge and
Argent Veil - Excellent Boss stagger thanks to multiple hits per drill
- Pit 100 in under 2 minutes without perfect gear
Weaknesses
- Less powerful than Retribution Shield for high-end pushing
- Requires mastering the attack/dodge rhythm to be effective
- Dependent on the Moni +
Wat rune combination for the pull
Recommended Gear
Table de Loot
Godslayer Crown is the build's essential helmet: combined with the
Moni rune, it pulls all enemies toward you with every
Divine Lance use. This synergy is the heart of the build and what makes it so devastating in AoE via
Rend.
For the weapon,
Griswold's Opus offers an excellent balance between damage and survivability through its passive healing. However, if you get a good
Light's Rebuke, it is superior as it grants doubled damage on
Divine Lance along with additional ranks. Masterwork the ranks of
Divine Lance first. On the shield, look for the chance for
Divine Lance to deal double damage.
Shroud of False Death on the chest allows permanent dodging, which is the core of the rotation. Combined with
Argent Veil, you maintain near-infinite dodge. The pants carry the Fortify aspect which combines with
Griswold's Opus for massive survivability and more armor, increasing damage through the
Shield Bearer Paragon board.
The boots are crucial: they carry the
Divine Lance size temper (+110%) and the dodge cooldown reduction per attack temper. No additional dodge cooldown reduction is necessary.
Ring of Starless Skies on the chest and
Aspect of Celestial Strife on the amulet complete the standard setup similar to the
Blessed Hammer build. The Disciple's Oath ring grants 50% bonus damage since
Divine Lance is a Disciple skill, and automatically activates the
Arbiter form when you use
Condemn.
Build Variants
There are several alternative runes that radically change the visual and gameplay of
Divine Lance. One rune transforms the lance into
Zeal, giving a rotary drill style around you — visually impressive but requires different scaling. Another rune makes lances fly in all directions in a chaotic mode, covering even more surface area.
For the last skill slot,
Rally is recommended for resource management, but you can also use
Arbiter of Justice directly on the bar (for a permanent
Arbiter form) or
Falling Star for more control. If you don't have an En Garde temper, put two points back into this passive skill by removing points from
Enhanced Fanaticism.
Gameplay Tips
The basic rotation is simple but requires rhythm: keep W, E, R, and F held down (or use Num Lock), then alternate dodge and attack (
Divine Lance). Ideally, bind dodge to the mouse wheel for smooth spam. Activate
Condemn regularly to pull enemies, activate the
Arbiter form, and maintain your buffs.
One crucial point: manually press your main attack key every few dodges to maintain
Ring of Starless Skies stacks. This buff grants a 50% multiplier and fuels your resources. Without it, your damage drops significantly. Use
Rally when you run low on resources.
Make sure you have 100% base block chance. If you have an En Garde temper on your gear, you can remove points from the passive skill and invest them into
Enhanced Fanaticism for more damage. Check in your character sheet that your block chance is indeed at 100%.
Arbre des Talents
Mercenaire
Divine Lance.
Paragon and Glyphs
The starting board is
Spirit for the base bonuses. Next, the
Shield Bearer board with the
Exploit glyph is essential: it
Rends all enemies vulnerable instantly, which is particularly powerful for speedrunning. The
Shield Bearer board also converts your armor into damage, directly synergizing with the Fortify from the pants.
The
Apostle board strengthens all Disciple skills, which includes
Divine Lance. Combined with Disciple's Oath, the multipliers become considerable. The
Coat of Arms board is the final board. For secondary glyphs, Khanyi benefits from non-physical sacred damage with
Relentless, while
Beacon amplifies the aura multiplier. The
Judicator glyph provides 10% sacred and fire damage plus a 20% multiplier — even without a Judicator attack, these base bonuses are excellent.
