Immortal Whirlwind Barbarian Build Overview
wudijo's immortal Whirlwind Barbarian build is back for Season 15, and despite the nerfs handed to the Barbarian, he still rates it among the very best builds in the game. The principle has not changed one bit: hold 
Whirlwind down while the shouts and buffs take care of themselves in the background. This showcase was recorded on the PTR, with a setup wudijo himself calls the pessimistic version: the final Season 15 patch notes had not been published at the time of recording, so some adjustments are still possible before launch.
Even so, The Pit already looks clearable up to tier 140, and 150 for the most optimised players, while the damage holds up, boss fights included, a historic weak spot of Whirlwind builds that The Furnace finally patches up.
wudijo offers three progression stages on his planner: Midgame, Endgame, then the Selig swap. The first two work almost identically; it is the Selig version that really changes things, pushing the build towards near-immortality thanks to the pairing of 
Melted Heart of Selig and 
Endurant Faith. That recipe is what makes the immortal Whirlwind Barbarian build one of the most comfortable of the season.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths
- Extremely accessible playstyle: a single button to hold down while the shouts and buffs sustain themselves.
- Still solid despite the Season 15 Barbarian nerfs, with a real gain against bosses thanks to The Furnace.
- High pushing potential in The Pit, up to tier 140 or even 150 depending on optimisation.
- The Selig variant flirts with immortality thanks to Melted Heart of Selig and Endurant Faith.
Weaknesses
- Showcase recorded on the PTR: the final Season 15 balance can still shift.
- The main Talisman set carries a heavy Cast Speed penalty, to be offset with Attack Speed.
- The Selig swap requires a complete re-gearing and a specific paragon pathing to banish every source of Life.

Loot Table
The engine of the build sits on the 
Tibault's Will pants: every 
Unstoppable proc from 
Iron Skin refills your resource, as long as you trigger it at least once every 5 to 8 seconds. On the one-handed weapon, 
Ramaladni's Magnum Opus boosts your damage as long as your resource stays full, but now drains 10% of your maximum resource, which makes it inseparable from Tibault's Will, without which the weapon becomes unplayable.
On the two-handed bludgeoning weapon, the new item of the season, The Furnace, smooths out elite and boss fights considerably. 
The Grandfather remains an interesting alternative for anyone getting close to 100% Critical Strike Chance. On the hands, 
Gohr's Devastating Grips add damage and a welcome pull effect to group enemies up before you start Whirlwind.
On the aspect side, 
Aspect of Anger Management keeps 
Berserking up permanently; while you wait to get it on the amulet, put it on the boots to enjoy its power spikes as early as possible. On the ring, 
Ring of Starless Skies cuts resource costs while adding damage. The Leoric's Crown helmet solved both toughness and crit on the PTR, even though the showcase in this video deliberately goes without it to stay on a pessimistic version.
For offensive priorities, stack Critical Strike Chance and Critical Strike Damage, Vulnerable Damage, Attack Speed, Maximum Resource, plus Whirlwind and Martial skill ranks. Defensively, Armor, Life and Resistances remain the baseline, except in the Selig variant, where Life is on the contrary to be avoided.
Horadric Seal S15
Aim for Martial ranks, Maximum Resource and Resistances on your charms. The Sescheron's Fury set is the backbone of the Talisman: its five-piece bonus delivers a huge amount of damage, at the cost of a heavy Cast Speed penalty. Make up for it by prioritising Attack Speed, which matters here more than usual. If you get your hands on the Seal of the Diamond Mind, you can mix that set with a few pieces of the Berserker's Crucible: a little more damage reduction and Cast Speed, for a contained damage loss. The 
Tuskhelm of Joritz the Mighty rounds out the setup as the sixth charm, as long as you are not playing the Selig variant.
Gameplay Tips
The rotation fits in one sentence: fire your three shouts to get the buffs rolling, trigger Iron Skin for Unstoppable (defence, speed, and a refresh of Tibault's Will), then hold Whirlwind down. 
Leap is only there for movement (clearing a cliff, crossing the open world faster) and has no combat value. 
Wrath of the Berserker is your ultimate: it does not stay up forever, so keep it ready for elites and bosses instead of casting it on cooldown.
Swapping to Selig reshuffles the deck: Melted Heart of Selig forces you to remove every source of Life from your gear and paragon (with the exception of the very first nodes on the starter board), because the larger your Life pool, the more resource you lose when you take a hit. Combined with Endurant Faith, which spreads any hit above 30% of your Maximum Life over several seconds, and with the Barbarian's innate resource regeneration on damage taken, the result borders on unkillable: Fury becomes your real Life pool, and Melted Heart of Selig triples it. This setup demands more resource generation than usual, as Tibault's Will alone is no longer enough. The Sescheron's Fury set, whose bonus grants 30% extra Life, becomes incompatible with this approach: you switch to the full Berserker's Crucible instead, trading area size for Cast Speed, and you replace the sixth charm with Endurant Faith.
Talent Tree
The talent tree is easy to read: most of the build consists of stacking damage nodes around Whirlwind, rounded out by the shouts and their passive buffs. Besides Whirlwind itself, the only other active skill worth anything is Leap, purely as a movement tool. Wrath of the Berserker completes the tree as the ultimate, with decent uptime without being permanent: enough to save it for the moments that matter.
Mercenary S15
The build leans on Raheir as the hired mercenary, for his 
Ground Slam, which groups and stuns enemies around you, a natural complement to the pull effect of Gohr's Devastating Grips to make the most of your Whirlwind passes on tightly packed groups.
As reinforcement, Aldkin brings extra support that helps keep the pace on longer fights, without competing with Raheir's offensive role. Neither mercenary needs a dedicated gear investment: their role here is above all quality of life around a build already built for survival and clear speed.
Paragon
Three stages pace the paragon board progression, at 200, 250 and then 300 points. On the 
Warbringer board, the Selig variant calls for a specific pathing: you deliberately skip certain nodes that grant Life, obvious picks on any other build, to come in from another side and grab two Maximum Fury nodes instead. The higher your Fury pool, the better off you are: it doubles as your Life pool and as a source of extra damage.
