Build Overview

The Boulder Druid of Trillions, popularized by @P4wnyhof in Season 13, is one of the most fearsome speedfarm builds available right now in Lord of Hatred. Its principle is brutally elegant: chain BoulderBoulder casts at full critical power to clear elite Pits in record time. The synergy between the Old Mountain seasonal set, Might of the Ursine and Heir of PerditionHeir of Perdition creates a near-permanent critical damage loop, provided you maintain your Resolve stacks.

The originality of the build lies in the BoulderBoulder + Lightning StormLightning Storm combination: Boulder delivers burst damage in a single cast, while Lightning Storm generates the resources needed and maintains mobility through Wind ShearWind Shear. The whole loop runs in human form, with a switch to Grizzly RageGrizzly Rage for intensive execution phases. Defenses are handled by Cyclone ArmorCyclone Armor, Debilitating RoarDebilitating Roar and Earthen BulwarkEarthen Bulwark, making the character surprisingly durable despite the build's offensive focus.

This build comes in two versions: a no-mythics version, viable from Ancestral progression onward with Godslayer CrownGodslayer Crown, and a complete endgame version integrating Heir of PerditionHeir of Perdition and Ring of Starless SkiesRing of Starless Skies. The progression is smooth and the Old Mountain set makes every upgrade tier immediately noticeable.

Pros and Cons

✅ Pros

  • Extreme burst damage thanks to 50 Resolve stacks and the Old Mountain set
  • Highly efficient speedfarm in high-tier Pits — one of the best classes for clearing maps quickly
  • Excellent progressive power ramp: viable without mythics, multiplied by Heir of PerditionHeir of Perdition
  • Solid defenses despite the offensive profile (Cyclone ArmorCyclone Armor, Earthen BulwarkEarthen Bulwark, Fortify)
  • Readable, rhythmic gameplay — ideal for long farming sessions

❌ Cons

  • Heavily dependent on maintaining Resolve stacks: a death or bad positioning breaks the loop
  • The endgame version requires two costly mythics (Heir of PerditionHeir of Perdition + Ring of Starless SkiesRing of Starless Skies)
  • Less efficient on solitary unique Bosses than on packed elite groups
  • Multiple cooldown management (Grizzly RageGrizzly Rage, Earthen BulwarkEarthen Bulwark) demands attention in combat

The equipment progression follows two distinct tiers. In the No Mythics version, you rely on Godslayer CrownGodslayer Crown as your unique helm — it amplifies damage against Bosses and charged elites — paired with Tibault's WillTibault's Will in the PantsPants slot to grant invulnerability during Grizzly RageGrizzly Rage. Might of the Ursine on the ring is the central piece common to both variants: it grants 13% additional damage per active Resolve stack, making the ramp to 50 stacks an absolute priority.

In the Mythics version (full endgame), Heir of PerditionHeir of Perdition replaces the Crown and becomes the build's true multiplier thanks to its Greater Affix increasing maximum Resolve stacks. Ring of Starless SkiesRing of Starless Skies replaces the second unique ring to drastically reduce the resource cost of Core skills, allowing you to spam BoulderBoulder continuously without ever running out of Spirit.

The most important legendary aspect is Conceited AspectConceited Aspect on the amulet, which amplifies damage while a barrier is active — and Cyclone ArmorCyclone Armor and Earthen BulwarkEarthen Bulwark keep that barrier up almost permanently. Tidal AspectTidal Aspect on gloves and Aspect of Heavenly StrengthAspect of Heavenly Strength on chest round out the offensive profile. On the weapon, Crushing Aspect is irreplaceable to maximize BoulderBoulder damage on Stunned or crowd-controlled enemies.

For Greater Affixes, prioritize Worldly EnduranceWorldly Endurance — Maximum Resolve Stacks on helm, chest, PantsPants and amulet. Each extra stack translates directly into damage via Might of the Ursine, and into critical strike chance via the Old Mountain set.

Horadric Seal S13

The Season 13 Horadric Seal system revolves around the Old Mountain set, designed specifically for the Werebear Druid and the Resolve mechanic. This set grants a critical strike chance bonus proportional to accumulated Resolve stacks, turning the 50 stack cap into a guarantee of near-systematic crits. Banished Lord's TalismanBanished Lord's Talisman is the other fundamental piece: it adds 12% damage per active Overpower stack at the moment of attack, which compounds exponentially with Might of the Ursine. The Might of the Ursine charm in the Talisman slots extends this synergy further.

The Resolve System: Engine of the Build

The Resolve mechanic is the central pillar of the build. Every attack with Lightning StormLightning Storm or BoulderBoulder generates a Resolve stack, capped at 50 (or higher with the appropriate Greater Affixes). These stacks have two combined effects: Might of the Ursine grants +13% damage per stack (up to +650% at 50 stacks), and the Old Mountain set converts those same stacks into critical strike chance, making crits virtually guaranteed at the cap.

Resolve management requires disciplined gameplay. You must never let stacks drop to zero between pulls: use Wind ShearWind Shear to regenerate Spirit between packs, keep Lightning StormLightning Storm active during movement, and rotate intelligently with Grizzly RageGrizzly Rage for confrontations with the toughest elites. Losing your Resolve stacks on bad positioning represents a significant DPS loss before ramping back up to maximum.

Gameplay Tips

The standard gameplay loop starts with activating Cyclone ArmorCyclone Armor and Earthen BulwarkEarthen Bulwark before each major engagement to guarantee the barrier that triggers Conceited AspectConceited Aspect. Then cast Debilitating RoarDebilitating Roar on the pack to amplify damage taken by enemies, then chain BoulderBoulder in rapid succession to destroy clustered elites. Lightning StormLightning Storm serves both as a Spirit generator and as supplementary damage for isolated or resistant targets.

Grizzly RageGrizzly Rage should be saved for situations where the cooldown is up and a dense pack or Boss is present. In Grizzly mode, your BoulderBoulder casts inherit the Werebear damage bonus and combine with the Tibault's WillTibault's Will buff for devastating damage spikes. Avoid using it empty so you don't waste its active window. Once the transformation ends, immediately switch back to human form to restart the stack-generation cycle.

Fractured Runestone (No Mythics version) helps maintain BoulderBoulder cadence without running out of resources. In the endgame version, Ring of Starless SkiesRing of Starless Skies removes that constraint, allowing for near-infinite spam. In all cases, Wind ShearWind Shear remains essential for fast movement between packs and to maintain Resolve stacks during transitions.

The Spirit Boons priority is as follows: Iron Feather for durability, Energize for Spirit regeneration, Gift of the Stag for maximum Spirit, and Calm Before the Storm to reduce Grizzly RageGrizzly Rage cooldown. The latter is particularly impactful as it lets you chain peak burst windows more often.

Talent Tree

The talent tree of the Boulder of Trillions build is built around two main skills maxed out: BoulderBoulder at 15/15 with the Fortify, Critical Strike Chance and Dolmen's Will upgrades, and Lightning StormLightning Storm at 15/15 with Movement Speed, Damage Bonus and Hero of the Storm. These two skills form the core offensive duo.

Support skills are invested at lower but strategic ranks. Grizzly RageGrizzly Rage is maxed at 15/15 with Cooldown Reduction, Fortify and Cornered Beast to maximize the active window and survivability. Earthen BulwarkEarthen Bulwark sits at 11/15 with the Barrier Duration, Unstoppable and Travertine Bulwark upgrades — enough to keep the near-permanent barrier necessary for Conceited AspectConceited Aspect. Cyclone ArmorCyclone Armor and Debilitating RoarDebilitating Roar are invested at rank 1 only: their debuff effect activates from the minimum rank, and additional ranks don't provide enough return on investment. Wind ShearWind Shear at 1/15 rounds out the set for mobility and Spirit regeneration.

Mercenary S13

Raheir is the primary mercenary of this build. His role is primarily defensive and crowd-control: Ground SlamGround Slam stuns nearby enemies and creates safe windows to place BoulderBoulder casts, while BastionBastion grants an additional shield synced with your own barrier management. Combined with Cyclone ArmorCyclone Armor and Earthen BulwarkEarthen Bulwark, the character's survival becomes comfortable even against the most aggressive elite packs.

As reinforcement, Varyana is selected with the Bloodlust (BloodthirstBloodthirst) skill, which lets her amplify damage on vulnerable or low-HP targets — a natural synergy with the build's damage spikes during burst phases under Grizzly RageGrizzly Rage.

Paragon and Glyphs

The paragon tree of the Boulder of Trillions build is organized across four complementary boards, each tied to a glyph that amplifies a key gameplay aspect. The starting board is paired with the WerebearWerebear glyph, which directly buffs all Werebear skills including Grizzly RageGrizzly Rage — the most central glyph of the build because it amplifies the main damage multiplier.

The Earthen Devastation board is paired with the DominateDominate glyph, which increases damage dealt to stunned or crowd-controlled enemies — a direct synergy with Debilitating RoarDebilitating Roar and Raheir's Ground SlamGround Slam. The Survival Instincts board carries the Earth and SkyEarth and Sky glyph, geared toward maximizing damage of Earth and Storm skills — covering BoulderBoulder and Lightning StormLightning Storm directly. Finally, the Heightened Malice board uses the SpiritSpirit glyph, which amplifies Spirit Animal skills and optimizes resource consumption.

All four glyphs are leveled to 150/100 (Season 13 max rank), maximizing their effect radius and passive bonuses in adjacent node zones. This configuration enables particularly high Willpower and critical damage values, synergizing with Resolve stacks and the Old Mountain set for permanent devastating critical strikes.
