ENDGAME | PIT PUSH DRUIDE
Build Overview
The Bearnado is a Druid build that combines
Tornado with the
Avatar of Nature modifier from the ultimate
Grizzly Rage. This combination, unique this season, allows you to cast
Tornado while remaining in Bear form — which unlocks access to paragon tree nodes reserved for that form, such as the Carnage Bundle.
The gameplay loop is straightforward. Thanks to the Storm Chaser (the S13 talisman set), storm skills no longer cost resources in the normal way: each activation consumes all available Spirit to increase storm damage for 2 seconds. To maintain this bonus permanently, Spirit generation remains essential — this is where
Tibault's Will comes into play, generating resource through the Unstoppable effect.
The combat rotation begins with
Hurricane, which applies a debuff on enemies and reduces their damage. We then follow up with
Lightning Storm — used with the Storm Hero modifier so it follows us permanently, without needing to recast it constantly — and finally activate
Grizzly Rage. Thanks to
Avatar of Nature, we can then unleash tornadoes without leaving Bear form. Companion wolves meanwhile contribute to increasing attack speed, which is crucial for the tornado cast rate.
The second offensive axis relies on Signet of Pelghain: this shattered ring deals 20% bonus damage for every second enemies spend under the Freeze effect. The duration of the freeze is extended by crowd control duration tempers, and the primary source of freeze comes from the talisman charms. For bosses in particular, the freeze chance on charms is decisive. Another gear piece creates an interesting synergy: when freeze expires on an enemy, they explode for 120% damage — a mechanic reminiscent of a mini-version of a well-known legendary effect.
Finally, of Determination stacks serve two purposes: increasing damage through a dedicated aspect and, most importantly, making the character nearly immortal thanks to the Glynn's Anvil Aspect, which grants 4% damage reduction per active of Determination stack.
Earthen Bulwark is the primary generator of these stacks.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Unique Avatar of Nature +
Grizzly Rage combo that allows casting Tornado in Bear form, unlocking Bear paragon nodes. - Extreme tankiness through of Determination stacks and Glynn's Anvil Aspect (4% damage reduction per stack).
- Pit 125+ clear confirmed in gameplay by Zaior.
- Strong offensive synergy between Signet of Pelghain and charm freeze sources to push bosses.
Cons
- Heavy reliance on several rare uniques (Signet of Pelghain,
Tibault's Will) to activate the core of the build. - Complex rotation with simultaneous management of Hurricane, Lightning Storm,
Grizzly Rage, and the Spirit consumed by the set. - Fragile Spirit generation without
Tibault's Will — the Storm Chaser two-piece bonus collapses without Unstoppable maintained.
Recommended Gear
Loot Table
This build needs constant resource generation to activate the Storm Chaser two-piece bonus. This bonus requires having at least 80 Spirit available in order to trigger the maximum damage bonus every 2 seconds.
Tibault's Will is the central piece of this mechanic: it generates resource every time we are Unstoppable.
The Signet of Pelghain is a particularly powerful ring this season. To apply freeze on enemies, we have several methods: runes on weapons, lucky hit freeze chance on weapons, and especially the talisman charms that offer a freeze chance — critical for bosses in pit pushing.
On the aspects side,
Aspect of Inner Calm is equipped on the amulet (the multiplier is stronger in that slot) to increase damage when remaining stationary while casting tornadoes. Crushing Aspect increases damage when Fortified,
Conceited Aspect boosts damage when an active barrier is present, and Great Storm Aspect generates Ferocity stacks via
Lightning Storm.
Overcharged Aspect is probably the most important aspect of the build for increasing storm skill damage and making enemies Vulnerable.
For priority damage affixes, we look for on each piece: skill damage, critical strike chance, critical strike damage multiplier, and physical damage multiplier. For defense: Resolve, maximum life, armor and resistance to all elements. Helmets, chest pieces,
Pants and amulets should have of Determination stack tempers to reach high totals. Crowd control duration tempers are also crucial to exploit Signet of Pelghain: the longer enemies stay frozen, the more damage accumulates.
Horadric Seal — Storm Chaser Set
The Storm Chaser talisman set is the engine of this entire build. The two-piece bonus is the heart of the set: storm skills no longer spend Spirit normally. Instead, each activation consumes all available Spirit to increase storm damage for 2 seconds, at a rate of 0.5% damage per Spirit consumed, up to a maximum of 40%. The more Spirit you generate, the higher the damage — which is why
Tibault's Will is essential.
The three-piece bonus grants
Cyclone Armor for free, with 30% damage reduction and an additional defensive effect whenever frenzied enemies hit us — which makes the build noticeably more solid without any extra configuration.
The five-piece bonus is by far the most powerful part of the set: storm skills gain a 20% chance to double-cast and a 5% chance to triple-cast. The double cast deals 100% bonus damage, while the triple cast reaches 300% bonus damage — a massive and unpredictable source of damage for enemies.
Gameplay Tips
Lightning Storm serves as the cornerstone of the build: its primary role is to reset the cooldown of
Grizzly Rage via the Come Before the Storm modifier, which allows nature magic skills to trigger this reset. It is used with Storm Hero so it accompanies us automatically, without manual recasting.
Tornado is the main damage skill. The modifier choice is fairly flexible: Multiple Tornadoes are effective against large groups, Whirling Tornado offers a balance between damage and AoE, and Large Tornadoes (the chosen option) maximize damage against bosses. The increased tornado duration allows more to be active simultaneously, and Casting Speed Tornado boosts overall attack rate.
Earthen Bulwark is activated with the Poke and Kare runes — the most consistent way to trigger it. The Unstoppable modifier combines with
Tibault's Will to generate resource permanently and activate the talisman set's two-piece bonus. The Earthen Rampart modifier generates of Determination stacks — the most critical mechanic of the build.
Cyclone Armor is passively activated by the talisman and pulls enemies in thanks to the Inversion modifier.
Blood Howl acts as a panic button by reducing enemy damage.
Hurricane is activated once at the start of a session.
Skill Tree
Mercenary S13
The main mercenary is Subo with the reinforcement skill
Wire Trap, which contributes to crowd control and applies freeze on enemies — a direct synergy with Signet of Pelghain.
Aldkin is used as a reinforcement mercenary to add an extra layer of damage and control during boss phases.
Paragon
The
Fang and Claw board is used with the
Fang and Claw glyph, active most of the time when close to enemies, to increase damage. The next board is
Headhunter with the
Headhunter glyph, which increases damage against elites. The key node of this board is the Carnage Bundle: even when in Bear form,
Tornado is still considered a werewolf skill thanks to the skill tree, which directly activates this node.
Next comes the Thunderstrike board with the
Earth and Sky glyph — probably the most powerful glyph for nature magic skills — which increases damage by 70% and grants 5% critical strike chance. The next board poisons enemies, which increases damage by 40%. The
Spirit glyph is used here to massively increase critical strike damage. Finally, the Survival Instinct board applies directly to the build since we are permanently in Bear form — the
Outmatch glyph boosts the damage of physical skills like
Tornado.
