ENDGAME | PIT PUSH NECROMANCIEN
Build Overview
This Necromancer Shadow Lord build is what's known as a "lazy" summoner: once your skeletons are summoned, you just need to order them to attack a target and they do all the work. Mana generation is automatic, healing too, and Overpower stacks accumulate passively thanks to the
Blood Mist mechanic and the blood orbs produced constantly during combat. The result: an extremely smooth, low-stress gameplay suitable for every situation.
This is the OverPower Mythic version, built around
Heir of Perdition,
Tyrael's Might and the
Blood Moon Breeches. Since the recent patch, the bracer received a significant buff and Deathgrip is far more effective, pushing this build to around Pit 133-144 for the most optimized players.
If you don't have the mythics yet, don't worry: the build runs perfectly fine using The Undercrown and the
Aspect of Hardened Bones instead, with any main weapon.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Extremely simple gameplay: a right-click on the Reapers is enough to annihilate targets
- Automatic mana, healing and Overpower stack generation — no complex rotation
- Massive continuous damage thanks to the darkness set (75% of damage as
Corruption or freeze over 30 seconds) - Very solid since the patch: clearly T12 viable, with a noticeable improvement on Bosses
- Flexible: works without mythics, with an accessible Starter version
Cons
- Persistent Golem bug: on every zone change, you have to remove and re-add the golem to the bar to benefit from the attack speed buff
- Boss T12 performance is slightly lower than against monster packs, even though the patch significantly improved the situation
- Reaching the 100% attack speed cap requires well-rolled gear (attack speed temper on the weapon)

Loot Table
Heir of Perdition is the central mythic helm of the endgame version: it generates frost effects via the ice wolves it summons, which freezes enemies and makes them vulnerable, amplifying damage from your entire undead crew.
Tyrael's Might handles most of the game's damage reduction in a single item, allowing you to practically never die.
Deathgrip is particularly powerful since the patch, its direct buff reinforcing the curse synergy. The
Blood Moon Breeches are the key to automatic curse application: your minions hit the targets,
Decrepify and
Iron Maiden trigger naturally without you needing to slot them on your bar. This grants a 60× damage bonus against cursed targets thanks to the Aspect of Amplified Damage.
Pact of Bone grants your minions up to 35% additional attack speed and critical strike chance, which is fundamental to hit the 100% attack speed cap via the
Cult Leader paragon board. On the amulet, the Hellbent Commander Aspect provides an additional damage multiplier; the author is considering switching to the
Aspect of Reanimation in a future two-handed configuration.
Horadric Seal S13
The build leverages the darkness set of the Talisman, an ensemble particularly suited to summoners: your shadow skills inflict 75% of their damage as
Corruption or cold damage over 30 seconds on all targets hit. Since the Reapers and Skeleton Mages are shadow skills, they trigger this bonus constantly, turning each strike into massive damage stacking over time. The set also adds damage reduction and additional layered damage bonuses.
The Blood Blessing charms let you gain Overpower stacks by picking up blood orbs, which are produced continuously by the build. The configuration shown below in the Horadric Seal is the one used in the OverPower Mythic version.
Gameplay Tips
The gameplay loop is deliberately minimalist: send your skeleton warriors at the target with a right-click, and let them destroy everything. Curses (
Decrepify and
Iron Maiden) trigger automatically via your minions' attacks thanks to the
Blood Moon Breeches. Healing goes through the Life Leech mechanic of
Decrepify: on every minion hit you recover roughly 11,000 HP, making your survival nearly automatic.
To maximize damage, remember to force an Overpower stack by activating
Blood Mist before an important fight. You can also use Bone Prison to trap groups of goblins or reduce your cooldowns in dense packs: each trapped monster gives you cooldown reduction, letting you re-order your warriors immediately. In normal combat, cooldown is managed by the Lucky Hit chance of
Decrepify.
Army of the Dead is configured in passive mode: it constantly summons volatile skeletons that grant you the commander damage bonus permanently during combat. If you prefer a more active style with more Overpower stacks, the author suggests replacing it with
Blood Wave in castable form. Don't forget: on every zone change, remove and re-add the Golem to your bar to benefit from the attack speed buff for yourself and your minions.
Talent Tree
Mercenary S13
The author uses Varyana with the Rend skill. This choice is primarily motivated by the need to reach the 100% attack speed cap: Varyana with the attack speed option and the Bloodlust mechanic lets you reach this critical threshold which unlocks the full potential of the
Cult Leader paragon board.
For the reinforcement, Rehan is used with the "on every attack" effect and the Taunt skill to benefit from additional damage reduction. If you're still short on attack speed, you can swap the Bloodlust option for the one that grants more attack speed.
Paragon
This build's Paragon orientation relies on stacking minion damage, shadow damage and Overpower. The two central glyphs are
Deadraiser (Dead Raiser), which amplifies effects on minions, and
Cult Leader, the key board: this one requires 100% attack speed to express its full potential, hence the need to temper attack speed on the weapon and use Varyana. The
Wither board exploits the 20% chance to deal 300× additional damage on shadow damage, synergizing perfectly with mages, warriors and Bone Prison.
The
Abyssal glyph boosts both shadow damage and
Corruption damage from the darkness set. The
Bloodbath node grants 20% additional damage as soon as you have at least one Overpower stack, plus a 50× bonus for 5 seconds after each stack gain or loss — which happens continuously in this build. The
Essence,
Warrior and
Gravekeeper glyphs round out the picture with bonuses to armor, life and minion power.
