ENDGAME | PIT PUSH | SPEED FARM NECROMANCIEN
Build Overview
The Necromancer
Blood Wave speed farm build holds the top four spots of the class leaderboard in Season 15: when Fervor opens the rankings in his video, he counts four
Blood Wave Necromancers in a row at the top. He had just called this the best build of the class, and part of his audience heard "best in the game", Warlock included. So he clarifies: the comparison only holds within the Necromancer.
His video is a short update. Fervor says right away that he won't cover skills again, then walks through what changed on gear, talisman and mercenaries after a full day of farming. His verdict fits in one line: the build is "much faster, much stronger". In his notes, he describes it as dealing damage in the trillions while staying very tanky, driven by the synergy between Critical Strikes and Overpower.
Pros and Cons
✅ Strengths
- The most represented Necromancer build at the top of the Season 15 leaderboard
- Simple playstyle built around a single damage skill
- Excellent area damage for clearing packs
- Very high survivability, reinforced by the Enigma chest
- Much better mobility since the switch to Enigma
❌ Weaknesses
- Demanding positioning: the build hits hardest when it stays anchored in the right spot
- Tricky resource management early in progression
- Armor has to be made up on several pieces since dropping the old chest
Recommended Gear
Loot Table
The helm is still Leoric's Crown. Fervor added a Diamond and a Splinter of Sin to it: the latter grants 30% Maximum Life in exchange for a 30% resource penalty. The build regenerates enough Essence not to feel that penalty, hence the choice.
The big change is the chest. Fervor moved to Enigma after many questions in the comments, and he calls it "very core": survivability stays about the same, and movement speed changes everything. The swap costs armor. To make up for it, he masterworked the damage reduction and went for a Greater Affix on armor on the chest. The pants follow the same logic: with no better drop, he rerolled the affix to armor and upgraded it.
Gloves and boots stay the same. The weapon, the two-handed scythe Insight, is now ancestral and holds two
Grand Skulls, which raised damage significantly. According to his notes, Insight is crafted from any common ancestral scythe. For jewelry, the
Banished Lord's Talisman and the rings carrying Crushing Aspect and Aspect of Coalesced Blood round out the setup. His notes sum up their role: feeding the synergy between Critical Strikes and Overpower.
Horadric Seal S15
The talisman picked up a new seal with All Stats, which Fervor finds "actually pretty good" even though he was hoping for better. He keeps Red Blessing and fills the rest with charms from the Blood Binder set, including Phoba of the Blood Binder. His charms now carry skill ranks: +3 on two of them, +4 to Core Skills on two others. For the next ones, he would favor resistances or All Stats, since resistances feel a bit weak right now. In his notes, he adds that the set gets stronger with every rank added to Blood skills.
Gameplay Tips
This build plays from a fixed spot. Fervor drops
Bone Prison when he decides to hold his ground, then chains
Blood Wave from there. His notes name the weakness that follows: you have to pick your position, because that is where packs will pile up.
Fervor lists a second weakness: the resource is hard to manage early on. Hang on until you have Enigma and ranked charms, which bring most of this version's speed and damage. When pushing the Pit, keep an eye on armor: it is what dropped with the chest swap.
Talent Tree
The tree maxes out three skills:
Blood Wave,
Golem and Skeleton Mage, all at rank 15.
Corpse Tendrils follows at rank 14, with the Come Here! upgrade that pulls enemies in.
Bone Prison,
Iron Maiden and
Decrepify get a single point each. The skill bar runs
Decrepify,
Blood Wave,
Bone Prison,
Corpse Tendrils and
Golem.
Mercenary S15
Fervor almost always runs the same setup. Varyana is hired with
Cleave, then
Hysteria and
Bloodthirst, plus a point in the Bloodlust passive, because in his view the build lacks attack speed.
As reinforcement, Raheir triggers his Bastion on
Bone Prison. Since Fervor casts the prison when he decides to hold his ground, Raheir's shield lands on him right as he starts chaining waves.
Paragon
The Paragon spans five boards, each with a glyph at level 150:
Blood-drinker on the starting board,
Essence on the second, then Imbiber, Eliminator and
Dominate. Fervor confirms
Essence in answer to a viewer question: he had forgotten to show that second socket in his previous video.
Why the Necromancer Blood Wave speed farm is faster
The previous version already held the leaderboard. What changed comes down to three pieces: Enigma for speed, two
Grand Skulls in the scythe for damage, and ranked charms for the Blood Binder set. Gloves, boots and mercenaries did not move. To copy the Necromancer
Blood Wave speed farm, start with the chest, the piece Fervor considers close to essential.
