LEVELING SACRESPRIT
Spiritborn Rock Splitter Leveling Build Overview
This express Spiritborn Rock Splitter build relies on a simple but devastating idea: turning a free basic skill into a real damage engine thanks to
Thorns and poison. With the removal of the old feathered dodge for Spiritborn in Lord of Hatred, the author (Galmode) had to completely rework the skill tree to find a fast and reliable leveling path again. The result: a build that can carry a character from 1 to 70 in under two hours, without relying on any legendary or unique item.
The
Rock Splitter skill is the pivot: it offers mobility, area damage through its third attack, and above all costs no spirit since it's a basic skill. It can therefore be spammed without limit. Around it revolve
Toxic Skin (healing and poison),
Counterattack (defense), and two spirits from the Spiritborn class specialization — the gorilla and the jaguar — which bring a barrier and ferocity charges.
Strengths and Weaknesses
Strengths
- Free basic skill spammable without limit
- Extremely fast leveling (under 2h announced from 1 to 70)
- Doesn't rely on any legendary or unique item to function
- Good balance between damage, healing and survival thanks to the Spiritborn spirits
- Magic-quality gear is enough thanks to the two runewords available from leveling
Weaknesses
- Slow start before level 15 (before the specialization unlock)
- Visually unspectacular compared to other leveling builds
- Requires careful management of Thorns affixes to unlock its full potential
Recommended Gear
Loot Table
While leveling, prioritize Dexterity, Maximum Life, and above all
Thorns wherever the affix is available, since this score fuels the damage of Rock Splitter's third attack. Attack Speed is also sought after: the more you hammer Rock Splitter per minute, the more procs stack up. Trap slots are a good complement for picking up Thorns on armor.
On weapons and jewelry, prioritize bonuses tied to gorilla skills. The game also allows two runewords on your gear. We deliberately stay at magic quality: rare and legendary items are hard to obtain early in the season, unless you reroll. The Cgar runeword boosts critical strike chance after five skills used in a row, but its real value is summoning wolves whenever you chain mobility skills — an effect that loops thanks to spamming Rock Splitter.

Gameplay Tips
Once the tree is in place, the rotation stays simple: attack continuously with
Rock Splitter, which you can hold down, then refresh your other skills as soon as they're available.
Toxic Skin provides healing and weakens enemies,
Scourge makes enemies vulnerable and slows them down,
The Devourer increases Thorns damage, and
Counterattack serves as a defensive safety net to activate whenever a situation turns bad.
Stinger, finally, rounds out the healing kit.
As for legendary aspects, none are mandatory to reach level 70 quickly, but several noticeably speed up progression if they drop: Aspect of Solidity and the Aspect of the Protector convert missing life into armor and Thorns, Aspect of Torment relies on your Thorns score to trigger poison, and Aspect of Hirsutism (best placed on your weapon to double its effect) lets your Thorns damage hit every enemy around you.
Skill Tree
Mercenary S14
For this leveling build, we bring in Subo as the main mercenary: his enemy detection on the map, movement speed bonus, and boost to our crowd control effects make him ideal for rushing from one objective to the next without wasting time.
As support, Varyana is preferred for her attack speed bonus, which further speeds up the rate of Rock Splitters thrown into combat.
Paragon — not applicable while leveling
This guide covers leveling from 1 to 70: the Paragon board only unlocks once you reach max level, so it doesn't come into play here. Check out an endgame Spiritborn guide once your leveling is finished to optimize your glyphs and boards.
