Build Overview

This Sorcerer build revolves entirely around FirewallFirewall, whose max rank turns the ground under your feet into a permanent blaze dealing massive damage over time. Its nickname, "Ring Of FireKuna," comes straight from the playstyle championed by its author Mekuna: deliberately standing inside your own ring of flames to stack as many damage ticks as possible, even at the cost of mobility. Two progression stages are covered, from leveling (T1-T12 Progression) all the way to the full Endgame build.

The Sorcerer relies on the Tal Rasha's Iridescent LoopTal Rasha's Iridescent Loop-anchored Tal Rasha's Threefold Way set, which boosts your Pyromancy skill ranks across five charm slots, rounded out by that same unique as the sixth charm. On the gear side, two unique items (Vision of the Firestorm and Raiment of the InfiniteRaiment of the Infinite) provide a comfortable life pool while Drognan's Anguish and a string of damage-over-time-focused aspects push FirewallFirewall's power to the max.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths

  • Massive, consistent damage over time thanks to FirewallFirewall at rank 15/15
  • Very safe playstyle: damage keeps applying even while backing away from danger
  • Solid survivability thanks to two defensive uniques (Vision of the Firestorm, Raiment of the InfiniteRaiment of the Infinite)
  • The Tal Rasha's Threefold Way set directly boosts Pyromancy rank without sacrificing a gear slot
  • Excellent area clear thanks to overlapping multiple firewalls

Weaknesses

  • Stationary playstyle: staying inside your own FirewallFirewall requires careful positioning
  • Ramping damage over time (DoT), less effective against very mobile or single-burst targets
  • Low-rank TeleportTeleport is mainly for repositioning, not active evasion
  • Needs a solid socket/Tempering stack to reach its full potential in Endgame

Vision of the Firestorm alone brings a comfortable life pool (+1450 Maximum Life, boosted further by Tempering), paired with the NaguNagu and CehCeh runes for a defensive boost. The chest piece Raiment of the InfiniteRaiment of the Infinite follows the same logic with its IgniIgni and MotMot runes, adding armor and maximum life.

On the offensive side, the Conceited AspectConceited Aspect on the gloves pushes damage over time to its maximum, while the Aspect of Heavenly StrengthAspect of Heavenly Strength on the PantsPants adds Intelligence and survivability. The boots carry the Aspect of Shredding BladesAspect of Shredding Blades, which directly adds ranks to FirewallFirewall on top of Movement Speed — valuable given the build's stationary playstyle. The amulet with the Aspect of the Untarnished Blaze increases damage against vulnerable targets, and the ring with the Aspect of Elemental Attunement rounds out the damage-over-time stack. The second ring, the unique Drognan's Anguish, adds even more damage over time and cooldown reduction.

Both weapon slots carry the Aspect of Elemental ConstellationAspect of Elemental Constellation, socketed with Flawless Rubies to maximize damage. The PantsPants carry two Flawless Topazes, and the amulet along with the rings each carry a Flawless Diamond for resistance and crowd control.

Horadric Seal S14

The talisman is built around the Tal Rasha's Threefold Way set, spread across five charms (Fer of the Threefold, Linta of the Threefold, Phoba of the Threefold, Beru of the Threefold, Mlor of the Threefold), each granting an extra Pyromancy skill rank — which directly boosts FirewallFirewall and your other fire spells. The sixth slot holds the unique Tal Rasha's Iridescent LoopTal Rasha's Iridescent Loop, unlocked thanks to the Legendary Horadric Seal, which grants an extra charm slot as well as a damage bonus to all skills.

Gameplay Tips

The idea is simple: drop FirewallFirewall on the enemy pack and stay inside it (or right at its edge) to benefit from your own stacked damage over time as the build ramps up. Use TeleportTeleport to quickly reposition from one pack to the next rather than to dodge, and let HydraHydra run in the background for extra passive damage while your main spells are on cooldown.

On defense, Ice ArmorIce Armor at max rank soaks up a good chunk of incoming damage while Unstable CurrentsUnstable Currents, nearly maxed out, reduces your costs and cooldowns to keep the pressure constant. The remaining skills (Charged BoltsCharged Bolts, Ball LightningBall Lightning, Chain LightningChain Lightning, BlizzardBlizzard, Lightning SpearLightning Spear, FireballFireball) are only invested at rank 1 to benefit from their category's passive bonuses rather than being actively cast.

Talent Tree

The tree invests 83 points across both stages of the build, with FirewallFirewall and Ice ArmorIce Armor pushed to max rank 15/15 through their respective upgrades — notably Ring of FireRing of Fire and Damage BonusDamage Bonus on FirewallFirewall, which directly increase your blaze's area of effect and power. Unstable CurrentsUnstable Currents is pushed almost to the max (14/15) for its cost- and cooldown-reduction effect, while the remaining points are spread across rank-1 investments in the other elemental skills to unlock their category passive bonuses.

Mercenary S14

Subo is hired as the main mercenary, with MolotovMolotov and SnipeSnipe as active skills, backed by the Scorched EarthScorched Earth and Incendiary BoltIncendiary Bolt passives, which reinforce damage over time — a direct synergy with the build's theme.

Raheir is used as backup with his BastionBastion skill, adding a welcome extra layer of survivability given the build's stationary playstyle.

Paragon

The starting board invests in the TacticianTactician glyph for versatility, then moves on to the Enchantment Master and Fundamental Release boards to reinforce your class mechanic. The Static Surge board carries the AdeptAdept glyph, and the final board, Burning Instinct, closes out with the FlamefeederFlamefeeder glyph — a perfect fit with the build's fire theme. In Endgame, allocation climbs to 281 nodes spread across the five boards, versus 196 during the T1-T12 progression phase.
