ENDGAME | PIT PUSH | SPEED FARM VOLEUR
Build Overview
This Season 14 Rogue build relies on a rather peculiar mechanic that Blizzard hasn't fixed yet: the interaction between
Shadow Clone and the two daggers equipped as melee weapons,
The Umbracrux and the Etna's Lost Dagger. Alongside the ranged weapon carrying the
Aspect of Imitated Imbuement, these two weapons let you proc the shadow totems in a loop and massively boost the build's non-physical damage. The rotation revolves around
Dark Shroud, which offers both dodge chance and critical hit chance, and
Concealment, whose passives are all amplified thanks to the equipped charm set.
Cold Imbuement adds both a defensive barrier and an extra damage source, while
Dash lets you trigger the shadows via its Shadow Play upgrade. This is a very defensive endgame build, designed to chain dungeons and Pits without ever getting knocked down, while keeping a comfortable DPS through Overpower and damage against vulnerable targets.
Strengths and Weaknesses
✅ Strengths
- Very high survivability thanks to
Dark Shroud and up to 40% damage reduction - Unique
Shadow Clone + daggers interaction that multiplies procs - Simple rotation to execute (3 main buttons)
- Great versatility in dungeons and Pits thanks to the defensive kit
- The Legacy of the Sightless set increases damage while reducing the ultimate's cooldown
❌ Weaknesses
- Vulnerability window while
Dark Shroud is on cooldown - Requires substantial cooldown reduction to run smoothly
- Fairly demanding gear (several hard-to-obtain Rogue uniques)
- Relies on a mechanic considered a bug, so it could potentially be patched out in the future
Recommended Gear
Loot Table
The top priority goes to
Beastfall Boots, which manage both the offensive and defensive cycles: their resource consumption when the ultimate is activated increases damage and, via Preparation, lets you reset your skills. Cooldown reduction is the stat to maximize on almost every piece, the goal being to bring
Dark Shroud back under 12 seconds.
The
Shroud of Khanduras increases defense generation via
Dark Shroud, in particular thanks to the Unstoppable window that protects you during phases where the shroud hasn't been recast yet. The Shrouded Gift adds 30% defense after exiting
Concealment. On the gloves, the Fist of the Iron Rose triggers the elite shot effect via
Shadow Clone and the stopping-power effect via
Dash, stacking both bonuses.
On the ranged weapon, the
Aspect of Imitated Imbuement lets
Shadow Clone benefit from your current Imbuement, boosting non-physical damage. The two daggers,
The Umbracrux and Etna's Lost Dagger, are what makes the bug work via the shadow totems: the latter also increases Imbuement damage. On the amulet, the
Aspect of Apogeic Furor provides the cooldown reduction needed to instantly recover
Dark Shroud. On the rings,
Signet of Pelghain and the
Conceited Aspect both boost damage against vulnerable targets, which fits a character that's almost permanently in shroud mode.
For runes, favor
Zan to trigger vortexes and group up monsters more easily, and
Bac to generate barrier by moving around regularly. Gems follow the classic Rogue logic: maximum life and resistances on defensive pieces (helm, chest,
Pants, boots), dexterity, maximum life, overall damage and critical damage on offensive pieces.
Horadric Seal S14
This build relies on the full Legacy of the Sightless charm set (5/5 pieces), completed by the unique charm
Soulbrand in the last slot.
Concealment generates damage while reducing the ultimate's cooldown, keeping
Shadow Clone up permanently; upon exiting concealment, damage is increased by 250%, which is why it's important to chain
Dash right after to fully take advantage of it.
Gameplay Tips
The rotation is deliberately simple: cast
Concealment, then
Shadow Clone, then
Dash three times, and start the loop over. The faster you execute this rotation, the higher your DPS.
Cold Imbuement and
Dark Shroud should stay active at all times: reactivate them as soon as they're available, without necessarily spamming them. In practice, it's simpler to keep these two skills active continuously and repeat the Concealment /
Shadow Clone / Dash loop. For the rest, prioritize execution speed, avoid getting hit, and chain dungeons or Pits as fast as possible to maximize your farm.
Talent Tree
Mercenary S14
Raheir is deployed in survival mode, with
Ground Slam and
Shield Throw allocated to reinforce the party's defense and taunt targets from range.
As backup, Varyana is used in attack speed mode, with her skill
Bloodthirst. The mercenary choice has little impact on this build: feel free to adjust it to your preferences.
Paragon
The starting board (
Canny) leads to
Cheap Shot and its
Versatility glyph, before joining
Eldritch Bounty with the
Closer glyph on the Prime exotic slot. The
Danse Macabre board brings Assassin, and
Exploit Weakness with the
Efficacy glyph wraps up the path. The goal is to maximize Imbuement and
Shadow Clone damage while keeping maximum survivability, the build's main risk being getting one-shot during the low phases of
Dark Shroud.
