Build Overview

This Molten BlastMolten Blast Amazon build by TheMehmetBozlak is an original fire variant of the Huntress that exploits a brand-new scaling mechanic from Season 0.5: the Brutus’s Lead Sprinkler. This unique mace converts Strength into fire damage (a fire damage bonus per 25 Strength), turning every point of Strength invested into direct offensive power. The result: a character capable of reaching 1156 Intelligence at Level 94 while hitting hard thanks to an attribute that is usually secondary.

The core of the build revolves around Molten BlastMolten Blast, a mace melee attack that projects molten rock shards, complemented by Mace StrikeMace Strike for single-target and by Molten ShowerMolten Shower to cover a wide area. Everything is bathed in fire: Herald of AshHerald of Ash spreads damage on kill, Infernal CryInfernal Cry and War BannerWar Banner boost offense, while Snipers MarkSnipers Mark and Elemental WeaknessElemental Weakness lower the defenses of elite targets.

The choice of the Amazon ascendancy is no coincidence: since neither of the build’s weapons has any native critical strike chance, the Amazon fills that gap by providing the critical strike rate needed to make damage reliable. This is a medium budget build, accessible without chase items, which demonstrates clean kills on endgame bosses in the video (The Arbiter of Ash, Xesht, Doryani, Simulacrum wave 6-7, Stone Citadel T16).

Strengths / Weaknesses

✅ Strengths

  • Original scaling: Strength becomes an offensive stat via Brutus’s Lead Sprinkler, which greatly simplifies gear optimization.
  • Medium budget: no mandatory chase items, the build is playable from a reasonable starting investment.
  • Versatile: Molten BlastMolten Blast for clear speed, Mace StrikeMace Strike for single-target, the build handles both mapping and bossing.
  • Massive fire damage with Herald of AshHerald of Ash that chain-spreads kills through packs.
  • Strong endgame proven: clean kills on the Arbiter, Doryani, Simulacrum, and Citadel T16 shown in the video.
  • Solid survivability thanks to the BerserkBerserk/Rage combo and curses that weaken dangerous targets.

❌ Weaknesses

  • Dependency on Brutus’s Lead Sprinkler: without this mace, the Strength-to-fire scaling mechanic falls apart.
  • No native crit on weapons: the build must source its critical strike chance from the Amazon ascendancy, which constrains choices.
  • Melee build: you need to stay in melee range, requiring more demanding positioning management than ranged builds.
  • Dense gem setup: 14 skills to manage (warcries, mark, banner, totem) require some practice to master the rotation.

Recommended Equipment

The absolute cornerstone of the build is the weapon: everything revolves around it.

  • Weapon (cornerstone) : Brutus’s Lead Sprinkler, the unique mace that converts your Strength into fire damage. This is what makes the build viable — prioritize it above everything else.
  • Amulet : Astramentis, which grants a massive bonus to all attributes — it is largely responsible for reaching the build’s 1156 Intelligence while also boosting Strength.
  • Body Armour : Morior Invictus, a defensive unique armour that solidifies the character’s survivability in endgame.
  • Remaining gear : on the remaining slots (helmet, gloves, boots, belt, rings), prioritize rare pieces with Strength (which converts to damage), life, chaos resistance, and capped elemental resistances. The interactive equipment grid below details each slot of the endgame build.
  • Jewels and charms : fill in with jewels providing Strength, fire damage, and life, as well as charms to cover defensive gaps.

For leveling, the author recommends a series of accessible uniques from the early levels: Brynhands MarkBrynhands Mark (levels 1-16), TrenchtimbreTrenchtimbre (16-45), then BramblejackBramblejack, NorthpawNorthpaw, GoldrimGoldrim, WanderlustWanderlust and BlackheartBlackheart to secure your power progression before switching to Brutus’s Lead Sprinkler.

Gameplay Tips

  • Stack Strength : unlike classic builds, every point of Strength here is a damage stat thanks to Brutus’s Lead Sprinkler. Never neglect it.
  • Manage your Rage : the build generates Rage through the passive tree (Rage on Ignite) and through Raging CryRaging Cry. Keep it high to boost your damage and activate BerserkBerserk at the right moment.
  • Apply your curses before large packs and bosses: Snipers MarkSnipers Mark and Elemental WeaknessElemental Weakness significantly increase your damage against elite targets.
  • Place your Shockwave Totem and your War BannerWar Banner for passive offensive support while you chain Molten BlastMolten Blast in melee.
  • Stay mobile : this is a melee build, learn to weave in and out of packs to apply your Mace StrikeMace Strike while avoiding damage.

The Brutus’s Lead Sprinkler Mechanic: Strength as a Weapon

The entire point of this build comes down to a single interaction. The Brutus’s Lead Sprinkler is a unique mace introduced in season 0.5 that grants a fire damage bonus for every 25 Strength you possess. In practice, the more Strength you stack on your gear and passive tree, the harder your fire attacks hit.

This mechanic completely flips the usual optimization logic. Where most builds treat Strength as a simple requirement to equip weapons, here it becomes the primary damage lever. The build’s author pushes this idea to the point of reaching 1156 Intelligence at level 94, proof that the character can invest heavily in attributes without sacrificing offensive power. This is also what makes the build solid on a mid-range budget: no need for perfectly rolled weapons — just stack the right attributes.

Rage Scaling and Activating Berserk

Rage is the build’s second offensive pillar. It is generated in two complementary ways: through the passive tree with the Rage on Ignite keyword (every ignite applied generates Rage, which triggers constantly given the fire nature of the build), and through the skill Raging CryRaging Cry, which provides an on-demand burst.

Keeping your Rage gauge high directly increases your attack damage and speed. It is also the fuel for BerserkBerserk, which should be activated at key moments (bosses, dense packs) for a spike in damage and survivability. The right habit: enter combat, let ignites build up your Rage, then trigger BerserkBerserk when the gauge is full.

The Amazon Ascendancy Choice

The Amazon is a deliberate choice here rather than a default pick. The starting problem: neither of the build’s two weapons provides any native critical strike chance. Without a fix, damage would remain flat and unreliable. The Amazon addresses this gap directly by bringing the critical rate that was missing, which unlocks an additional damage tier.

The author notes, however, that this is not the only viable option. A Deadeye or the new Spirit Walker can both carry this build if you prefer a different playstyle or different ascendancy bonuses. The Amazon remains the recommended choice for reliable critical strikes.

Progression and Leveling

Before picking up the Brutus mace, the leveling phase relies on a series of cheap uniques. The author recommends Brynhands MarkBrynhands Mark for the very first levels (1 to 16), then TrenchtimbreTrenchtimbre up to around level 45. The rest of the leveling kit is rounded out with BramblejackBramblejack, NorthpawNorthpaw, Goldrim (to cap your resistances), WanderlustWanderlust (mobility) and BlackheartBlackheart.

This progression lets you comfortably clear the campaign before transitioning to the endgame setup. The leveling gems and trees are detailed in the video: follow them for a smooth climb until the Brutus’s Lead Sprinkler takes over and sends your damage through the roof.
