Diablo 4 Season 14 Ends: Your Pre-Season 15 Checklist

Diablo 4 Season 14: everything to finish before it ends

Article by Kami

On September 15, 2026, Diablo 4's Season 14, Death Awakening, comes to an end. It began on June 30, 2026, at 11 a.m. Pacific time. Blizzard has never confirmed this end date in writing, but the Reliquary countdown (the season pass, a tier and reward system tied to progression) has shown it clearly for weeks. According to Blizzard Watch, in an article by Liz Patt dated July 17, 2026, community trackers confirm the same date, and our own article from August 17 had already established it. Thirteen days of play remain before the big reset. Seasonal progression goals go back to zero, season-tied powers disappear, and anything left unclaimed in the Reliquary vanishes with it.

Two days after BlizzCon on September 12 and 13, Season 15 begins, bringing its own batch of changes, some already covered on the site. Before thinking about that, it's worth sorting out what's still worth a session on this seasonal character. This checklist prioritizes by real value rather than by length, separating what's lost either way, what still pays off before the 15th, what automatically carries over to Eternal (the permanent game mode, with no reset each season), and what isn't worth your time.

What Disappears for Good at the End of Diablo 4 Season 14

First move before the 15th: the Reliquary. According to Timesaver.gg, in an article by Sam Okonkwo dated August 27, 2026, every tier earned but not claimed gets wiped at the season change, including on the premium Reliquaries paid for in Platinum (the premium currency bought with real money). An item visible in the list but never clicked doesn't survive September 15.

Game8, guide updated July 2, 2026: the four Season 14 Reliquaries and their countdown, then at 76 days.

Four losses are locked in at the end of the season.

  • Unclaimed Reliquary tiers disappear, premium rewards included.
  • The Season Journey (the list of objectives that unlocks rewards as you progress) resets completely to zero.
  • Pandemonium Ruptures and the Deathtoll Chamber close along with the season.
  • The seasonal powers and affixes engraved on your jewelry are erased.

The seasonal stash doesn't disappear, but it switches to withdrawal-only (you can take items out, but not put any in) until the end of Season 15. None of this can be worked around, it's the normal price of a season coming to an end.

What's Worth Your Time With 13 Days Left

Not everything should be tossed aside before the 15th. Resplendent Sparks (a rare crafting currency used to forge Mythic Unique items) and Mythic Unique Caches are still worth chasing, since they carry over to Eternal once obtained. According to Timesaver.gg (August 27, 2026), finishing the Season Journey nets up to 7 Resplendent Sparks and 5 Mythic Unique Caches, plus the Greystone companion, the Remains of the Reaper mount trophy, runes, sigils, and charms. With thirteen days left, this is the only Season Journey content really worth an evening of play.

SourceMaxroll, checked on September 2, 2026: the season counter shows 2 months, 4 days, and 3 hours elapsed since June 30.

The Overwatch Reliquary (the cosmetic collaboration between Diablo 4 and Overwatch) is also worth a quick detour. According to GosuGamers, in an article by Sarah “KZ” Zulkiflee dated June 30, 2026, it's free and unlocks two emblems, a mount trophy, three weapon skins, an Overwatch dye, and the Kiriko's Fox Spirit companion once completed. Progress is made with the Eye of the Overwatch currency, earned by killing elites and champions. A few elite-farming sessions are enough to clear it.

Premium Reliquaries call for a bit more math. According to the Game8 guide updated on July 2, 2026, Diablo 4 Season 14 offers four of them, one free and three paid in Platinum, 200 for Weapons, 500 for Beasts, 800 for Armor, with a bundle of all three that saves 500 Platinum. Each item costs between 2 and 11 Favor Tokens, earned by playing. The completion reward only drops once you've taken everything on a given Reliquary, the Winged Redeemer boots on the Weapons one, the pants on the Beasts one, the helmet and chest piece on the Armor one. If you've already invested in one of the three, finish it. Otherwise, don't start a new one with thirteen days left. What Carries Over to Eternal, and How to Prep Your Stash

Your seasonal character, the one you've been playing since Diablo 4 Season 14, carries over almost entirely to Eternal, along with its gear, gold, total Paragon experience (the progression system that takes over once max level is reached), and Mythic Unique items. Account unlocks follow too, cosmetics, mounts, and earned Renown. Nothing to do here, the game handles it on its own at the season change.

Blizzard Watch, Liz Patt, July 17, 2026: the end of Diablo 4 Season 14 pinned to September 15, with no official announcement from Blizzard.

Emptying your inventory into the shared stash before September 15 is the most cost-effective move on this list. Gold and materials carry over to Eternal, so it only costs two minutes and pays off more than a last-minute farm. Anyone planning to use Rebirth (the system that converts an Eternal character into a seasonal one while keeping its name, class, and appearance) in Season 15 needs to pack that stash now. Level drops back to 1 during a Rebirth, and only what was stored in the stash before the conversion survives.

What Isn't Worth It Before the End

Some activities aren't worth much at this stage of Diablo 4 Season 14 anymore. Leveling Paragon glyphs or pushing The Pit (the tiered dungeon that measures a build's power) only makes sense if you plan to keep playing this character in Eternal after the 15th. On a character bound to stay seasonal, that play time earns almost nothing once the Reliquary is emptied.

If you're looking to prep for what's next instead, it's worth reading up on what's changing with the Soul Splinters (the new jewelry socketing system), tested on the 3.2.0 PTR in early August, before Season 15 begins. September 15 is coming fast, and it won't come back.
