Build Overview
This
Twister Oracle of Destruction build by Bshowers is a war machine that combines the physical attack
Twister with a
Cast on Critical setup that automatically triggers
Comet,
Living Bomb and
Detonate Dead. The result is a deluge of elemental destruction capable of one-shotting Pinnacle Bosses and clearing a six-player temple with ease.
The Oracle ascendancy grants access to particularly interesting passive nodes for critical scaling, while the Weapon Set system offers flexibility between attack speed (Set 1 with
Eternal Rage) and damage buffs via
Berserk (Set 2). With a crit multi peaking at 405 and multipliers stacked through
Elemental Conflux,
Trinity and rage, each
Twister cast generates a devastating chain reaction.
Bshowers presents this iteration as his most refined version of the Twister build, the result of extensive experimentation since the skill’s release. The shift to crit was the decisive change that pushed the damage to the next level.
Build Strengths
- Extreme damage: One-shot Pinnacles and temple Bosses with ease, with a colossal damage per
Twister cast even before whirlwind and ground surface scaling - Extraordinary clear speed:
Whirling Slash at 111 DPS level 6 without
Headhunter buffs, combined with
Herald of Ice chaining for ultra-fast map clearing - Versatility via Cast on Critical:
Comet can deal up to 10 million damage under the right conditions (native crit, cold element, fire infused, high
Trinity), and
Detonate Dead dominates in temples - Massive multiplicative scaling: Multipliers stack — crit, crit damage bonus,
Elemental Conflux,
Trinity, rage,
Berserk, Garukhan’s Determination — creating exponential power growth
Build Weaknesses
- Significant investment: Around 4 mirrors to replicate the build as-is, which remains accessible for this power level according to the author, but represents an end-of-league investment
- Complex Weapon Set management: You must not stay too long in Set 2 or you risk losing your rage, which requires good timing on swaps
- Tight spirit management: Constant adjustments between gems, supports, and available spirit require deep optimization of every socket

This build relies on several unique items that form the core of its multiplicative damage system:
- Garukhan’s Resolve: Practically equivalent to a « double damage » for the build. This helmet is one of the most important multipliers in the entire combination.
- Rakiata’s Flow: Provides a massive multiplier against enemies with elemental resistances. Synergizes perfectly with the
Trinity and
Elemental Conflux system. - Bhatair’s Vengeance: Activates the rage mechanic via Spirit Throw. Each enemy frozen by Spirit Throw generates rage, which is then amplified by
Berserk (+70%). - Grand Spectrum: Provides additional chaos damage to help reach the threshold without sacrificing sockets on equipment. This jewel is not essential if you have chaos elsewhere.
- Heart of the Well: A rare jewel to optimize — Bshowers aims for 2 mana and 15 at minimum.
- Heroic Tragedy: The best Keystones to look for are Natural Energies, Triscon’s Light, and Sudden Hail. Other useful nodes include attack speed and skill effect duration.
- Crafted Jewels (Spear + Crit): The real gain of this version. Each jewel carries a crit damage bonus for attacks, projectile speed, and a crit damage bonus with Spears. The Spear class is the only one that allows stacking multiple crit damage bonuses on the same jewel for spells.
Gameplay Tips
- Weapon Sets Management: Set 1 (
Eternal Rage + attack speed) is your main mode. Set 2 (
Berserk + Hail Device) is used for damage bursts. Don’t stay in Set 2 too long as you lose rage without
Eternal Rage. - Spirit Throw for rage: Regularly throw Spirit Throw to freeze enemies and activate Bhatair’s Vengeance. Even a single frozen white mob is enough to trigger the buff.
- Detonate Dead in Cast on Crit: This is why this build dominates Temples. Mob corpses explode via Cast on Crit, creating a devastating chain reaction.
- Spirit Management: If you’re running low on spirit, remove supports that multiply the cost (Mysticism, etc.). Bshowers shows that by removing Grand Spectrum and
Combat Frenzy, you free up enough sockets to add two additional crafted jewels — a net gain of ~80 crit multi and ~16% projectile speed. - Herald of Ice chaining: Even without
Herald of Thunder, heralds chain thanks to Unus Brace, Smelting, and Armour Explosion.
Frost Nexus in
Herald of Ice ensures permanent chill ground to maintain elemental ground. - Permanent elemental ground: On maps, the combo
Elemental Weakness + Burning Description in Cast on Crit continuously generates elemental ground. During bossing,
Herald of Ice +
Frost Nexus take over.
Cast on Crit Setup
Cast on Crit is the secondary engine of this build and provides considerable versatility. With only ~30% critical strike chance, each critical hit from
Twister automatically triggers your linked spells.
The combination recommended by Bshowers:
- Comet + Living Bomb:
Living Bomb procs frequently and feeds the Fire Infusions of
Comet, doubling its damage. If
Comet naturally crits with the right element via
Trinity and an active Fire
Infusion, it can remove up to 10 million HP from Arbiter. - Detonate Dead: The major asset in Temples. Corpse explosions via Cast on Crit create a chain destruction that makes Temples trivial. Bshowers insists: if you don’t have
Detonate Dead in your Cast on Crit, you’re missing out on a huge gain. - Elemental Weakness + Burning Description: Generate elemental ground regardless of your position. Essential for keeping
Trinity and
Elemental Conflux bonuses permanently active.
Passive Tree Changes
The major update of this version is the shift to critical strikes. Bshowers dropped
Shock (despite its status as a strong multiplier) to invest in crit multi, reaching 405% crit damage bonus with only 30% critical strike chance.
Key additions:
- Careful Assassin + Throat Seeker: Critical strike nodes on the passive tree path, providing the necessary crit damage bonus and critical strike chance.
- Jewel optimization: Replacing Grand Spectrum with crafted jewels featuring crit damage bonus (attacks) + projectile speed + crit damage bonus (Spears). Each jewel adds ~40 crit multi and ~8% projectile speed.
- Dropping Combat Frenzy: By removing costly spirit supports, you free up enough sockets for two additional crafted jewels — a massive net damage gain.
Weapon Sets Management
Proper management of the two weapon sets is critical for the optimal functioning of the build:
- Set 1 (Main mode):
Trinity, Cast on Crit,
Elemental Conflux,
Infusion Charge,
Eternal Rage. This is your standard map mode —
Eternal Rage keeps your rage active. - Set 2 (Burst mode):
Trinity, Cast on Crit,
Elemental Conflux, Hail Device,
Berserk,
Infusion Charge,
Combat Frenzy. Activate it for burst phases (Bosses, dense packs).
The golden rule: don’t stay in Set 2 too long. Without
Eternal Rage, your rage decreases rapidly. Alternate between the two sets fluidly to maximize your damage while maintaining your buffs active.
If your build isn’t working properly, check your Weapon Sets first — it’s the most common cause of issues according to Bshowers.
