Build Overview

This Huntress Bleed Ritualist build is designed for ultra-juiced map farming in Season 4. Its creator, Bosorkana, describes it as a build built for T16 maps with extreme modifiers: triple damage, penetration, reinforced abysses, extra monsters. It survives all of this through an overflow life leech system that makes it RendRend virtually immortal in combat.

The core mechanic revolves around Kulemak’s Crimson, a unique that received a massive buff this season: it goes from -25% maximum life to +15% maximum life. Combined with three Soul Core of Tani for 9% additional life, the build reaches +24% additional maximum life. All survivability then comes from constant life leech, made possible by Breach rings with tier 1 life leech, Herald of BloodHerald of Blood which leeches life/mana from life, and the keystone Fast MetabolismFast Metabolism which keeps life leech active even at full life.

On the offensive side, the build uses RakeRake as the main skill with Crimson AssaultCrimson Assault for an aggravated bleed whose base duration goes from 5 seconds to 1 second, but with 50% more magnitude. SpearfieldSpearfield with Rearm creates layers of spears that shred monster packs, while Herald of BloodHerald of Blood with KnockbackKnockback clears space around the character.

Build Strengths

  • Immortal in mapping: The overflow life leech system allows surviving all map modifier combinations, including the most dangerous ones. The author claims to remember every death over the last 10 levels.
  • Curse immunity: Time of NeedTime of Need removes all curses every 10 seconds. Maps with Temporal ChainsTemporal Chains or other curses are no problem at all.
  • Fast and comfortable clearing: SpearfieldSpearfield with Rearm creates double layers of ground spears that continuously eliminate monsters, particularly effective in abysses and Chaos trials.
  • Modular build: The passive tree is easily adjustable based on preferences. Ancestral Call can replace a support to speed up map clearing, then be swapped for more damage in bossing.
  • Built-in anti-stun: Back in ActionBack in Action grants 80% stun recovery, which neutralizes light stuns even without evasion. A considerable gameplay comfort.

Build Weaknesses

  • Not designed for burst damage on pinnacle Bosses: The author specifies that this build does not kill Bosses in 5 seconds. He recommends a dedicated bossing build for fast kills.
  • Physical spear hard to find: The physical spear market is described as atrocious by the author. You will likely need to craft it yourself.
  • Costly late game version: HeadhunterHeadhunter and Palm of the Dreamer are optional but represent a significant investment to gain roughly 2 minutes per map.

Recommended Equipment

  • Body Armour: Kulemak’s Crimson with 3 sockets and Soul Core of Tani in each socket. Aim for the max roll of +15% maximum life. 4-socket versions exist but cost a fortune.
  • Weapon: Physical spear with +5 levels of melee skill gems and attack speed. Prioritise an EssenceEssence of Abrasion for the « gain damage as extra physical » mod, which also increases Herald of BloodHerald of Blood damage. Best to craft yourself given current market conditions.
  • Belt: Ryslatha’s Coil for the life and maximum attack physical damage bonus, which also increases Herald of BloodHerald of Blood damage. Alternative: Darkness EnthronedDarkness Enthroned but without the Herald bonus.
  • Rings: Two Breach rings with tier 1 life leech, quality-upgraded to reach around 10%. Fill with flat physical damage, resistances, and maximum life.
  • Amulet: Maximum life, melee skill gem levels, resistances, and life recoup. Instil with Lasting TraumaLasting Trauma to increase bleed magnitude and duration. Quality with life modifiers. Requires 46 intelligence for Kulemak’s Crimson.
  • Gloves: Flat physical damage, +melee skill gem levels, maximum life, resistances. Ideally two sockets: RuneRune of Cruelty (+20% bleed magnitude) and Idol of the Wolf (+10% bleed magnitude).
  • Helmet and Boots: Resistances, maximum life. Use sockets to cover chaos resistances.
  • Charms: Thawing Charm (freeze removal), Stone Charm (anti-stun), Silver Charm. Luxury version: Follow the Axe for Onslaught.
  • Puncture: Core unique, used by all bleed builds. Look for a corrupted version with physical quality. Prioritise increased skill speed or increased damage.

Gameplay Tips

  • Mapping: Use Ancestral Call as a support on RakeRake for much faster clearing. Swap it out for a damage support for bossing.
  • Spearfield: With Rearm, spears remain on the ground and re-trigger when new monsters appear. Particularly devastating in abysses and Chaos trials where monsters spawn continuously.
  • Herald of Blood + Knockback: Knockback prevents monsters from surrounding you and pushes them back. In Ritual, it can even pin them into a corner of the zone.
  • Bossing: Use Hound’s Mark on Bosses to increase bleed magnitude. Remember to cast Spear ThrowSpear Throw beforehand for the +30% melee damage bonus lasting 8 seconds.
  • Mana management: Atalui’s BloodlettingBloodletting on RakeRake is essential because at level 34 the mana cost is enormous. Combined with the ascendancy’s mana cost reduction, this prevents all mana issues, even against rares with Mana SiphonSiphon.
  • Unique corruption: Corrupt Kulemak’s Crimson and Puncture to gain extra resistances or useful modifiers. This frees up affixes on other gear pieces.

Life Leech System and Immortality

The core of this build’s survivability rests on overflowing life leech. Unlike most builds that stop leeching once at full life, the Fast MetabolismFast Metabolism keystone keeps life/mana leech permanently active. Every hit continues to regenerate life, creating a constant stream of recovery that offsets all incoming damage.

Herald of BloodHerald of Blood plays a crucial role in this system: it leeches life on every enemy killed. This is why the build deliberately avoids poison and poison damage. Poison damage does not leech life, which would break the survival loop. Everything is therefore oriented toward pure physical damage to maximise life leech.

Breach rings with tier 1 life leech and Ryslatha’s Coil complete the setup. Ryslatha’s Coil increases maximum attack physical damage, which also benefits Herald of BloodHerald of Blood damage. It is this synergy between physical damage, Herald of BloodHerald of Blood, and constant life leech that makes RendRend this character so hard to kill.

Crimson Assault and the Bleed Mechanic

Crimson AssaultCrimson Assault is the cornerstone of the damage system. This keystone fundamentally alters bleed behaviour: the base duration drops from 5 seconds to 1 second, but magnitude is increased by 50% and all bleeds are automatically aggravated. This means no special gearing is needed to ensure bleeds are aggravated.

This mechanic combines perfectly with Ryslatha’s Coil. With a bleed lasting only 1 to 2 effective seconds, it is crucial to hit frequently to land the best damage rolls. Ryslatha’s Coil raises the physical damage ceiling, giving better odds of landing powerful bleeds on each hit. If a bad roll occurs, it expires in 1–2 seconds instead of 6, allowing an immediate retry.

Lasting TraumaLasting Trauma instilled on the amulet further reinforces the system by increasing bleed magnitude and duration, partially compensating for the duration reduction from Crimson AssaultCrimson Assault.

Key Build Jewels

Heart of the Well is the first essential jewel. The percentage of instant life leech (up to 15% at max roll) ensures immediate life recovery on every hit. Combined with skill speed and movement speed, it improves both survivability and quality of life.

The most important jewel for tankiness is Undying HateUndying Hate for Amanamu. This jewel transforms a keystone into SacrificeSacrifice Flesh, which reduces all incoming damage to 80% of its original value. Since life leech easily compensates for the life loss over 4 seconds, this is a net 20% damage reduction on every hit. With over 5,000 life points, Boss slams become far less threatening.

Prism of Belief grants +3 levels to all RakeRake skill gems, a direct damage boost for the main skill. The author recommends limiting yourself to two desecrations on Undying HateUndying Hate: additional ones add low-value notables and increase the risk of destroying the jewel.

Ritualist Ascendancy and Pseudo-Headhunter

The choice of the Ritualist ascendancy is first and foremost thematic according to the author, but it offers a remarkable mapping advantage. Ritual SacrificeRitual Sacrifice allows you to absorb monster modifiers, creating an effect similar to HeadhunterHeadhunter in maps. Both effects stack if you own a HeadhunterHeadhunter, making RendRend the build even more devastating in fully juiced maps.

Other ascendancy choices include mana cost reduction (essential for RakeRake at high levels), Blood BoilBlood Boil which grants 15% additional physical damage (buffed this season), and movement speed. The author admits, however, that the Ritualist ascendancy could use a rework, as the available options are fairly limited. The last two nodes were only taken at level 99 due to lack of interest.
