Build Overview
This Martial Artist build pushes the limits of Path of Exile 2 in Season 0.5 with a concept as spectacular as it is effective: a « zero-button » autobomber. The principle is simple to describe and devastating in practice: all you need to do is run through monster packs and watch them explode one after another, without pressing a single skill. Everything revolves around an explosive curse mechanic automatically sustained by your colossal strength.
The core of the build is built around
notable Repulsion, a curse maintained as an aura via
Blasphemy. On a cursed enemy, any hit — whether from an attack, a spell, or any other effect — triggers an area explosion. This is precisely what makes the build « busted »: it doesn’t need a specific damage type to proc, just a hit, any hit. By orchestrating a constant and automatic source of hits, the result is completely passive map clearing.
To fulfil this role as a permanent « igniter », the build combines Brutus’ Lead Sprinkler (two unique maces in dual wield that trigger their effects on each hit once enough strength is reached) and
Living Lightning linked to multiple sources. At 850 strength, the triggers chain without interruption and keep the
notable Repulsion explosions looping indefinitely. In actual gameplay, you obviously keep a few buttons (
Seismic Cry for comfort,
Mace Strike for single-target) — but the zero-button demonstration shows just how automated and comfortable this strength build is.
Strengths / Weaknesses
✅ Strengths
- « Zero-button » clear: run through packs and everything explodes, without pressing a single skill.
- Minimal mental load: one of the most comfortable builds to play for mapping.
- Versatile colossal strength: your strength serves damage, the Brutus’ Lead Sprinkler trigger threshold, and the stun threshold.
- Universal trigger:
notable Repulsion explodes on any hit (attack, spell, effect), making the proc extremely flexible. - Good single-target burst:
Mace Strike, Molten Shower, and especially
Hammer of the Gods handle bosses reliably. - Decent survivability: life stacking with
Defiance of Destiny and capped resistances are enough for mapping.
❌ Weaknesses
- Dependent on Brutus’ Lead Sprinkler: the mechanic requires a minimum of 500 strength to reach 100% trigger rate.
- Vulnerable to big hits: you can be one-shot by the most violent damage spikes.
- Lack of native AoE: without investment in area of effect, the explosion radius remains improvable.
- Costly endgame optimisation: the chase items (
From Nothing, targeted
Headhunter) require a significant budget.

The gear in this build is organized around one absolutely central cornerstone item, with the rest of the stuff primarily serving to stack strength, life, and resistances.
- Weapons (dual wield) — Brutus’ Lead Sprinkler ×2: the key to the build. Two unique maces played at level 20 with their Rune Forge versions to add flat fire damage. Once you reach 500 strength, they trigger their effects on every hit, permanently fueling the explosions of
notable Repulsion. - Gloves — Maligaro’s Virtuosity: essential to the current setup. They allow the explosions triggered by the curse to land critical strikes, a massive damage multiplier for
notable Repulsion. - Survivability — Defiance of Destiny: the defensive pillar, synergizing with life stacking and capped resistances.
- Leviathan’s + notable Crystal Elixir: Leviathan’s always counts as an active flask effect, translating into additional damage and a critical multiplier bonus.
- Jewels — Grand Spectrum ×3: socketed with as much maximum life as possible, supplemented by red jewels ideally rolled with fire damage, attack damage, and strength percentage.
- From Nothing: a luxury jewel (expensive) that provides movement speed, attributes, and a critical multiplier. Optional — only use it if you find one.
- Body Armour — Loreweave: a unique chest piece that completes the build’s defensive foundation alongside the life stacking.
- Remaining gear: helmet, boots, belt, and rings can remain simple rares rolled with resistances, strength, and life.
Gameplay Tips
- Mapping vs bossing: the zero-button mode is a delight for clearing maps, but in actual play the author recommends keeping
Seismic Cry as your main clear for optimal comfort, and not going buttonless against bosses. - Single-target burst: for bosses, chain
Mace Strike and Molten Shower for single-target, then unleash
Hammer of the Gods for the big nuke. - Ancestral Cry for clear: press it and run through packs — your volcanic steps proc everything in their path, it’s extremely effective.
- Seismic Cry tip: slot
Blazing Critical into
Seismic Cry. Since every hit under
Hollow Focus is a critical strike (the bells crit), you gain a free 15% extra fire damage once a 6-link becomes available. - Banner always active:
War Banner stays up permanently because Brutus’ Lead Sprinkler generates enough hits per second to maintain it at all times. - Optimize CDR: the current breakpoint is 0.13; aim for 0.1 as soon as you accumulate enough cooldown recovery.
How the zero-button autobomber works
All the magic of the build lies in a cascade of chained triggers. At its core,
Blasphemy turns
notable Repulsion into a permanent aura: every enemy around you is continuously cursed. The special property of
notable Repulsion is that it explodes the moment a cursed enemy takes a hit — regardless of the hit’s source. It’s not limited to attacks or spells: literally any hit detonates the curse.
You therefore need an automatic, uninterrupted source of hits. That’s the role of Brutus’ Lead Sprinkler: once your strength is high enough, these maces trigger their on-hit effects at 100% on every weapon hit. Those effects generate new hits that set off Repulsion… and the explosions themselves can in turn re-trigger the curse. The result is a self-sustaining loop. To start and keep the machine running without pressing anything,
Living Lightning is linked to
Wind Dancer,
Hollow Focus and
Hollow Resonance: it provides a constant source of hits that primes the entire chain reaction. The result: you run, and the screen clears itself.
Str-stacking: strength as the build’s engine
This build is a true strength stacker, and every point counts three times over. At around 850 strength, the author exploits the stat on three fronts simultaneously. First, strength directly increases physical damage. Second, it unlocks Brutus’ Lead Sprinkler’s mechanic: you need to reach 500 strength to achieve the guaranteed 100% proc rate that makes the build automatic. Finally, the passive tree lets you convert strength into stun threshold (three points of stun threshold per point of strength), providing considerable passive survivability without sacrificing anything on the offensive side.
To stack this strength alongside life, the three
Grand Spectrum socketed for maximum life do the heavy lifting, complemented by red jewels rolled for percentage strength. It’s this dual reading — offensive and defensive — that makes strength the single pillar around which the entire build is designed.
Maximizing critical strikes and fire damage
On the damage side,
notable Repulsion averages around 26,000 when accounting for critical strikes. And that’s precisely where Maligaro’s Virtuosity becomes essential: these gloves allow curse explosions to land as critical strikes, unlocking a massive multiplier on the build’s primary damage source. The critical layer is then reinforced with
Supercritical on the
Blasphemy setup and
Blazing Critical on the warcries.
The second half of the scaling comes from fire: Fire Penetration and Elemental Armament on most links, plus the flat fire damage brought by the Rune Forge versions of both Brutus’ Lead Sprinkler. The passive tree also adds bonus lightning damage, enabling application of
Shock — a valuable damage multiplier against resistant targets.
Passive tree and optimization paths
On the tree, the author opted for a Heart of the World and prioritizes a
Admixture of lightning damage (for shock), extra rage, CDR, AoE, and attribute percentage bonuses. Ignite immunity and the critical multiplier round out a framework that is both offensive and comfortable. The ongoing priority is CDR: dropping from the 0.13 breakpoint down to 0.1 is the main optimization target.
Looking further ahead, the build’s dream is clear: land a
Headhunter. Since absolutely everything here is considered an attack, the buffs stolen by
Headhunter would scale the build disproportionately, and would also bring a valuable bonus in AoE. This is, in fact, the only real current weakness: more AoE, since every facet of the build benefits enormously from larger explosions.
