Build Overview
The
Reap Infernalist is one of the most satisfying builds of the season: it clears entire screens of monsters in a single click and takes down endgame bosses in a matter of seconds. Its creator even considers it superior to his former
Reap Blood Mage from the previous season, thanks to significantly higher damage and vastly improved
Mobility.
The core of the build rests on three mutually reinforcing pillars: the
Reap skill (
Reap) cast from a high-tier staff, the Demon Form (Demon Form) transformation that provides movement speed and offensive bonuses, and a permanently maintained Low Life state to double damage multipliers. The most notable feature: the life pool is replaced by mana via
Eldritch Battery (Eldritch Battery), turning the character’s massive mana pool into a true health bar.
The result is a complete endgame build capable of blasting through overpowered T17 maps and killing Pinnacle bosses with 10 million life points before they even trigger their mechanics — all while maintaining smooth, fast-paced gameplay.
Strengths / Weaknesses
✅ Strengths
- Exceptional Clear speed: a single click is enough to wipe an entire screen of monsters.
- Monstrous single-target damage: Pinnacle bosses (Arbiter of Ash, Arbiter of Divinity) fall in seconds.
- High Mobility thanks to Demon Form, which greatly boosts movement speed.
- Plenty of free Spirit via the Infernalist’s life reservation nodes.
- Solid survivability: a massive mana pool (4000+) serving as a health bar, supported by
Mana Remnants. - Smooth and fun gameplay — one of the most satisfying builds to play according to its creator.
❌ Weaknesses
- Advanced mechanics: the combination of Low Life +
Eldritch Battery + Demon Form (Demon Form) requires a solid understanding of how it works before being mastered. - Gear-dependent: the unique belt and a high-tier
Reap staff are necessary to reach the build’s full
Potential. - Critical mana management: since mana serves as your health pool, at least one
Soul Drain on kill jewel is essential.

The gear focuses on stacking critical strike chance, critical strike bonus, Cast speed, and mana (which serves as your life pool). Refer to the interactive equipment grid below for the exact items and their affixes.
- Weapon (Staff) : a staff with Reap level 20, +7 to Physical Spell skills, extra maximum damage as elemental damage, spell damage, Cast speed, and critical strike chance.
- Belt (unique) — Coward’s Legacy : the unique belt that makes you count as Low Life while you are at 70% of your maximum life — the cornerstone of the build’s core mechanic.
- Body Armour : as much Energy Shield as possible, some resistances, and maximum life or mana.
- Helmet : high Energy Shield, critical strike chance, and some resistances.
- Amulet : +4 to all Spell skills, plus critical strike chance, critical strike bonus, Cast speed, spell damage, and mana. Anointment: Barbaric Strength (Barbaric Strength — +45% critical strike bonus).
- Boots : Trampletoe, unique boots that deal 30% of overkill damage to enemies within a 2-meter radius — this is what allows you to wipe out entire packs in rapid succession.
- Gloves : as much mana and Energy Shield as possible, with two sockets.
- Rings : Cast speed, mana, life, and resistances.
Gameplay Tips
- Stay Low Life : the unique belt combined with life reservation keeps you permanently in the Low Life state, which doubles your damage sources (
Execute III + passive node for critical strike bonus). - Managing Demon Form : stay in Demon Form to benefit from the movement speed bonus and offensive buffs; it is sustained by
Second Wind III and cooldown recovery. - Maximizing area coverage : the overkill explosion from
Trampletoe scales with area of effect (2 m base), which is why stacking 5% area of effect on jewels is worthwhile. - Mana recovery : equip at least one jewel that recovers 2% mana on kill — your survival depends directly on it since mana is your life pool.
- Situational skills : apply
Vulnerability on bosses, and use
Thrashing Vines (
Thrashing Vines) on distant packs or isolated targets.
How Low Life Works
The build’s core mechanic revolves around the Low Life state, achieved through the unique belt that makes you count as Low Life at 70% of your maximum life, combined with a portion of your life reserved. While in this state, your damage is boosted twice.
The first source is the
Execute III support (Execute): while Low Life, you deal 30% more damage — not increased — a crucial distinction, since « more » multipliers are far more powerful. The second source is a passive tree node that grants 30% additional critical strike bonus while you are Low Life. These two multipliers combined push your critical strike bonus beyond 1000, which explains the build’s devastating output.
The Demon Form
Demon Form is the other pillar of the Infernalist. Beyond the visual aspect, it significantly increases movement speed and provides several offensive bonuses that stack over time. The dedicated ascendancy node reserves 25% of your life in exchange for a large amount of Spirit (171 in the creator’s example), enough to freely fuel all your auras and persistent skills.
To maintain it effectively, Demon Form is supported by
Efficiency II,
Second Wind III and
Cooldown Recovery II, which reduce costs and speed up the availability of the transformation.
The Passive Tree: Crit, Mana and Eldritch Battery
The passive tree targets four main stats: critical strike chance, critical strike bonus damage, mana nodes, and Cast speed. The path starts with Cast speed nodes, then critical damage nodes (which can be reinforced through physical damage nodes, which also benefit
Reap).
The right side of the tree concentrates all the mana nodes as well as
Eldritch Battery, an essential keystone that converts Energy Shield into maximum mana. Since mana acts as your life pool, you can easily exceed 4,000 mana with Mana Remnants. A well-placed jewel alone contributes 48% critical strike chance and 12% area of effect. On the amulet side, the anointment
Barbaric Strength adds 45% critical strike bonus damage.
Mana Remnants: Mana as Your Life Pool
Since your actual life bar is effectively your mana, survival revolves around managing it.
Mana Remnants (
Mana Remnants), supported by
Remnant Potency III and
Harmonic Remnants II, restore significant amounts of mana and are your primary survival tool. This is also why equipping at least one jewel that recovers 2% of mana on kill is mandatory — running two of them noticeably improves the character’s resilience in high-density maps.
