LootCollector — KamiLabs Edition: Addon Download (Ascension)

LootCollector — KamiLabs Edition is a community fork of the LootCollector addon for World of Warcraft 3.3.5a, built for the Ascension private server (Bronzebeard realm). It turns loot hunting on its head: instead of digging through the web, you see right on your map where to grab every Worldforged item (a world-forged item with a randomized spawn location) and every Mystic Scroll parchment, with a powerful search and custom lists.

Independent network

This edition uses its own communication channel, entirely separate from the original addon’s (StepOnLegos edition). Players using LootCollector — KamiLabs Edition only share their discoveries with each other: they do not receive discoveries from the original network, and vice versa, without ever disrupting it.

To make up for this fresh start, the addon ships with a starter database (StarterDB) that provides several thousand discoveries right from the first launch. This is a deliberate choice: the more players join this edition, the richer our shared database becomes, entirely independently of the original network.

Installation

Download the archive below and extract it. Place the three folders (LootCollector, LootCollector_StarterDB, LootCollector_CustomImport) directly into your World of Warcraft client’s Interface\AddOns\ folder.
Launch the game and, from the character selection screen, open the AddOns list to enable the three installed folders.
Log in with your character: a confirmation message appears on load to indicate the addon is active.

⚠️ Important: the three folders must sit directly inside Interface\AddOns\, not in a subfolder. The correct path looks like Interface\AddOns\LootCollector\. If, after extracting, you end up with a parent folder that contains the three folders (for example Interface\AddOns\LootCollector-KamiLabs-Edition\LootCollector\), move the three folders up one level.

What’s new in beta 0.8.7

Independent network: this edition now communicates on its own channel, separate from the StepOnLegos edition.
New Stats Filter: refine your search by attribute (Strength, Agility, Stamina, Intellect, Spirit), defense, melee/ranged or spell stats to keep only items carrying exactly the stats you want.
Fixed duplicated Worldforged pins, as well as duplicated or incorrect positions.
The displayed position of a Worldforged item now follows the most recent report, instead of staying locked to an old averaged position.
New moderation tool: fix an item’s position with a simple click on the map (restricted to this edition’s moderators).
The « Nearby Discoveries » panel can now be locked: clicking a group’s pin keeps the panel open on that group.
The « Add to list » menu now has a close button (X) that works correctly.
Significant code cleanup: roughly 1.8 MB of dead and legacy code removed.

Useful commands

/lc — opens the addon’s options panel.
/lcviewer — opens the « Discoveries » window.
/lcshare — shares your discovery database with nearby players.
