Supportive shouts and Vrykul ancestor magic: Frost Giant themes, Clanlord's Totem, rally effects and morale debuffs.
Ancestry keeps group-wide buffs rolling ahead of the fight rather than reacting to it, with enough toughness to off-tank in a pinch.
Grants you Fill Level and the ability to manipulate a Tankard — a magical Tankard that fills up over time, granting 1 stack of Fill Level every 2 seconds; some of your abilities empty the Tankard to trigger with a reduced cooldown.
Closest to retail Enhancement Shaman. The mechanical fingerprints line up directly: a weapon-proc mechanic that adds bonus Frost main-hand attacks and builds a secondary resource (Ancestral Combat and Fill Level generation ≈ Windfury Weapon feeding Maelstrom), a summoned pet that copies your whirl attack (Honored Ancestor via Ancestor's Call mirroring Ancestral Whirl ≈ Feral Spirit wolves mirroring Stormstrike), stackable raid-wide totem-style auras for haste/attack power/crit (Ancestral Fury, Splash Zone/War Cry, Frozen Blades, Clanlord's Totem ≈ Skyfury/Strength of Earth-style totems), a party haste cooldown (Tavern Brawl! ≈ Bloodlust/Heroism-adjacent), and self-sustain generated through combat procs rather than a dedicated heal spell (Ramhorn Rage's group regen plus Liquid Courage's Fill Level damage reduction ≈ Enhancement's proc-flavored sustain, not Resto Shaman's actual healing kit). Like Enhancement, it's fundamentally a melee DPS spec wearing 'support' clothing via auras and a haste cooldown, not a healer.
Why is this spec not rated like the others?
Combat logs only rank damage and healing. This specialisation does neither as its main job: it supports the group.
Its rating therefore answers a different question: is it brought to raids?
Across 671 fights of raids, all difficulties with at least 90% of the roster known.
The expected share is what a spec would get if slots were split at random between those competing for them — a tank and a damage spec are not after the same number. Above ×1 it is brought more than its share; below, less.
This rating never exceeds A: it describes what groups choose, not what a specialisation produces. A spec can be strong and rare.

These talents are a PvE configuration. The Arena and Battleground grades shown above rate the specialisation’s PvP potential — not this tree.
Melee weapon user built around Agility/AP scaling, with a build-defining choice: Thane's Guard grants shield proficiency and turns a shield from a pure mitigation piece into an offense steroid (increased attack speed and more Armor contribution) — the intended 1H+Shield setup, trading a little raw damage for speed and the survivability of an actual shield (Thane's Grip is the alternative for dual-wielding two-handers at a damage penalty). Stat priority: Agility (feeds AP scaling, Honored Ancestor scaling, and Ancestral Whirl damage) > Attack Power/Strength (Keg Smash and Breath of the North both scale directly off AP) > Haste (more swings = more Ancestral Combat procs and faster Ale of the God-King/Keg Smash cycling) > Crit (feeds Frozen Blades and Cold Brew's Fill Level generation on Frost crits) > enough Hit/Expertise to stop missing/being parried.
