Avoiding an attack now has a 20% chance to grant you Angelic Presence: your next Illumination within 15 seconds is instant cast and free of cost.
Closest to retail Protection Paladin, with a dash of Discipline Priest bolted on: the core loop — shield plus one-hand weapon, block and avoidance converted into board presence, spent on both offense (Justicar's Wrath, Dawnbreak's shield-radiate cone, Hammer of Kings) and defense (Seraphic Bulwark, Dawnguard's block stacking) — is Protection Paladin through and through. The Discipline Priest flavor shows up in the shield-and-support toolkit: The Chosen turns your Illumination into a self-absorb that detonates for Holy damage (Hope), Scroll of Hope is a raid-wide magic-mitigation cooldown with a low-HP triage heal, and Sun Disc pulses increased healing to nearby allies. So mechanically it's a Protection Paladin chassis wearing a Discipline Priest's shield flavor.
Why is this spec not rated like the others?
Combat logs rank players by damage output. A tank does not produce meaningful damage — its job is to absorb it.
Its rating therefore answers a different question: is it brought to raids?

The tree run at the highest difficulty. Read from 10 Seraphim Sun Clerics who clear raid bosses in Ascended, of whom 1 has since switched specialisation and 1 was last recorded in a dungeon, leaving 8. 35 of its 51 talents are identical across all 8, so they agree on the bulk of it and part ways on the rest. Recorded on 12 August 2026.
This specialisation is not ranked: the logs record damage dealt and healing, never damage taken or mitigation, so no performance ranking exists for it. These players were picked on the difficulty they clear, not on a score. The 56 points are a fixed budget, so no tree can take everything. The most common picks left out of this one: Sun Disc 75 %, Sun Shield 75 %, Sunflare Aegis 50 %.
These talents are a PvE configuration. The Arena and Battleground grades shown above rate the specialisation’s PvP potential, not this tree.
Holy Strength converts Strength into spell power, while Solar Might raises Strength directly — a single point of Strength therefore feeds both the physical side (attack power) AND the Holy/Fire side of every hybrid formula (Justicar's Wrath, Dawnbreak, Hammer of Kings), making Strength the true primary stat, well ahead of the Intellect the old note weighted equally. Spell Hit still gates the spell-component attacks (Justicar's Wrath, Angel's Calling), so it caps ahead of raw Spell Power/Attack Power.
