Fleshweaver is the sacrifice healer: every spell paid for in health feeds Pooled Vitality, Vampyr's Kiss bleeds keep the engine running, and Gift of Lana'thel converts Spirit into power. It literally spends itself to keep the group alive — the highest-skill-ceiling healer in Conquest of Azeroth.
Spells that cost health grant a stack of Pooled Vitality, stacking up to 10 times. Mortal Form spells that cost Rage consume those 10 stacks to fire empowered.
Closest to Discipline Priest, with a dash of Blood DK bolted on. The core identity — build a resource by attacking, spend it on shields and instant heals, with a signature ability that damages the enemy while healing the group (Heartbreak) — echoes the Atonement pattern. Blood Veil is its Power Word: Shield analog, and Fleshcraft (a big chunk of max HP restored instantly) is its Pain Suppression-tier panic button. Add paying your own health to cast for Rage, amplified by Sanguine Essence, and you get genuine Blood DK self-cost texture stapled onto a Disc-style chassis — no retail healer runs an Atonement-style AoE loop off a Rage-from-health-cost economy like this.
A dual-track rotation: feed Pooled Vitality through health-cost casts while managing a Rage bar spent on heals, all while weaving Sanguine Essence without ever breaking the spell loop. The opening seconds of a fight are the most fragile moment — no Rage banked means no shield and no panic button.
Solo or duo, it leans on Crimson Tide and Vampyr's Kiss DoTs for damage while Dark Liturgy and the Pooled Vitality loop keep it topped up without a partner. In a group, it's the primary raid or party healer: Dark Liturgy's Blood Rituals bounce, the Hemoglobe/Darkfallen Lament AoE cooldowns, the Universal Donor/Red Thirst throughput buffs, and Arterial Bind's heal-plus-silence utility.
- Core loop — health-cost casts build Rage and Pooled Vitality stacks; Sanguine Essence is its transformation, amplifying the kit without ever locking out its caster spells.
- Signature (Pooled Vitality): health-cost spells grant a stack of Pooled Vitality, stacking up to 10 times. Mortal Form spells that cost Rage consume those stacks to fire empowered…
A pure sacrifice-healer whose costs are Rage and raw health rather than mana, so Spell Power and the Spirit that fuels its Stamina/Spirit healing coefficients and converts into spell hit via Gift of Lana'thel outrank Intellect entirely.
- Best-in-class self-sustain loop: Fleshcraft (a big instant % max-HP heal), Blood Veil (a huge instant Spirit-scaled absorb) and Vampyr's Kiss refunding Rage combine so it almost never truly runs dry or dies to sustained chip damage.
- Team-fight-swinging AoE kit: Heartbreak, Crimson Tide, Hemoglobe, Dark Liturgy and Darkfallen Lament let it damage and heal a stacked pack at once, turning clustered brawls into attrition wins.
- A mostly-instant caster kit with a support transformation (Sanguine Essence) that amplifies output without ever cutting off its caster spells — it heals and deals damage on the move, unusual flexibility for a healer.
- Very thin control or peel for teammates — no dedicated stun, root, fear or snare; only Arterial Bind's AoE silence exists, so it can't physically pin a train off an ally, only silence casters standing in the pool.
- Thin personal escape and anti-CC: nothing in its own tree cleanses itself (Purify Blood only removes a disease from an ally, Hemal Excision only siphons curses), and there's no speed or disengage tool. The class tree softens this somewhat, but that competes for class-kit picks — and against a stun chain that has already landed, it's just riding it out.
- Rage-gated cold start: every major heal (Blood Veil, Fleshcraft, Crimson Tide, Sanguine Mend) costs Rage that must first be generated via health-cost casts — getting ambushed at 0 Rage means no shield and no panic button until it can build some.
One of the harder specs on the realm — a risk/resource-gamble mechanic, form/stance swapping, tracking several DoTs.
Enormous mastery ceiling — mastering that risk window, perfect multi-DoT uptime, balancing offense and healing at once.
