Build Primalist Grovekeeper Ascension CoA
Grovekeeper
Rage-fueled healing growth magic nature HoTs

Grovekeeper heals on Rage: creation magic — 4 direct heals, 3 HoTs on a Nature core — fueled by the Primalist's melee fury. You fight to fill the bar, then bloom it out onto the party.

A rhythm unlike mana healers: aggression literally becomes restoration.

Signature Spell
Grove Training

All melee damage or healing done has a 10% chance to grant Aftershock for 15 seconds: your next Geode Barrage or Earthquake within that window becomes instant cast and costs 75% less.

Retail Feel

The closest retail feel is a Mistweaver Monk in Fistweaving mode. The signature mechanic — melee auto-attacks triggering a free heal on nearby allies through Hammer of Life — is functionally identical to Mistweaver's Teachings of the Monastery/Spinning Crane Kick fistweaving loop: stand in melee, auto-attack, and your damage rotation IS your AoE healing rotation. Layered on top is a secondary combat-generated resource — Rage standing in for Mana/Chi timing windows — gating the biggest heals: Tears of the Earthmother, Seismic Wave, Earthmother's Binding and the Seismic spenders. Add melee-hybrid passives that turn healing and swings into buffs (Grove Training's Aftershock proc, Battleweaver, Infusion of Neptulon, Nature's Fury's auto-attack mana return) and the comparison holds up mechanically, not just in vibe.

In dungeons, open with Flourishing Growth to buff the group's attack/spell power, then keep Tears of the Earthmother rolling on the tank as your primary rejuvenate, close to spike targets with Spirit Charge, drop Seismic Wave when the group is stacked, protect low-health allies through Ring of Life and Earthmother's Binding, and lean on Sacred Grove as an emergency stabilizer on a dying pull — with no battle-rez anywhere in the kit, and off-role damage between heals running the solo rotation's offensive-Boon/Instinct, Seismic, Wildclaw priority.

In PvP, Grovekeeper is a healer that can stand in the scrum: it melees for a free splash heal on nearby allies through Hammer of Life while its swings feed Rage, then dumps that Rage into Tears of the Earthmother and Seismic Wave to top the group without ever fully stopping to turtle-cast. In a duo it protects a partner with real tools — Spirit Charge closes to an ally in trouble while healing and splashing damage, Earthmother's Binding heals a target while redirecting a share of their damage taken onto you, and Ring of Life boosts their healing received while cutting your own magic damage taken. For 1vX it leans on constant Hammer of Life splash healing plus Sacred Grove as a last-ditch group panic button — a big instant heal plus an ongoing heal zone. Where it dies: there's no self-targeted CC-break or immunity anywhere in the kit — Sacred Grove heals but doesn't pop you out of an existing stun, fear or root, so a coordinated lockdown chain kills it exactly like any pure caster healer; it also has no hard single-target lockdown to answer kiting ranged pressure, and no gap-closer beyond Spirit Charge to an ally.

In practice, Grovekeeper runs on a dual-resource loop — Mana for the utility half, Rage generated by actively swinging for the heaviest heals — and the real room for growth sits in weaving auto-attacks to keep Hammer of Life up while staying inside the AoE-heal radii, without ever letting the Rage bar run dry at the wrong moment.

Leveling Guide

Solo/duo: Hammer of Life turns your own melee swings into self-healing, and Nature's Call's +12% healing done/received lets you tank small pulls almost like a paladin with minimal downtime.

Group job: AoE/HoT-focused raid healer — Seismic Wave for a healing pulse, Sacred Grove as your cornerstone group-heal zone, Earthmother's Roar turning Protective Roar into a group heal, and Ancient of Lore as your raid cooldown.

Sacred Grove
Sacred Grove — an instant AoE heal plus a 16-second zone of amplified healing for up to 12 allies; the signature group-healing tool.

Rotation
  1. Core loop — Roars and Boons, stacking up to 3 times.
  2. Signature (Grove Training): all melee damage or healing done has a 10% chance to grant Aftershock for 15 seconds, making your next Geode Barrage or Earthquake instant cast and 75% cheaper.
HealPre-cast HoTs and keep them rolling; save direct heals for spikes.

Stat Priority
PvE
Strength (Attack Power) Haste Intellect Critical Strike Spirit/MP5
PvP
Resilience Stamina Strength (Attack Power) Haste Spirit/MP5 Critical Strike

Grovekeeper's level-15 passive turns Attack Power into spell/healing power and Strength into melee haste plus spell hit, and the heals themselves scale off Attack Power + healing power (Hand of the Earthmother, Spirit Charge, Seismic Wave, Earthmother's Binding, Grove Guardian) rather than Spell Power. So Strength/Attack Power is the primary throughput stat, not Spell Power; Haste (extra HoT ticks, faster casts) follows. Pure healing, so no spell-hit line in PvE.

Strengths & Weaknesses
Strengths
  • Flourishing Growth, Seismic Wave and Sacred Grove stack AoE healing, and Hammer of Life splashes a free heal off every melee swing — enough to out-heal sustained battleground chip damage without ever stopping to cast.
  • Hammer of Life heals you and the group while you swing, and Spirit Charge closes to whoever's struggling — no cast bar holds you in place.
  • Sacred Grove drops a big instant heal plus a healing zone, Ring of Life boosts an ally's healing received while cutting your own magic damage taken, and Earthmother's Binding heals while pulling a share of an ally's incoming damage onto you.
Weaknesses
  • No CC-break or immunity anywhere in the kit — Sacred Grove and Ring of Life stop damage, not stuns, fears or roots, so a coordinated lockdown chain deletes it like any caster healer.
  • Tears of the Earthmother, Seismic Wave, Earthmother's Binding and the Seismic spenders all draw on a Rage pool that only fills from active melee — walk into a fight without having been swinging and the biggest heals simply aren't there.
  • No hard lockdown and no ranged answer — Spirit Charge only reaches an ally, so a kiting attacker keeps it off the melee that feeds its healing.
Skill Floor & Ceiling
Skill Floor
Low

Very easy to pick up — a sustained kit with few moving parts.

Skill Ceiling
Medium

Modest depth beyond the basics — the sustained pattern rewards clean execution more than deep optimization.
