Grinding Gear Games has set the full release of Path of Exile 2 for December 11, 2026, as a free-to-play game (free to download and play), as the official forum post of August 25 announces. Until then, three dates and one step matter to players: the registration that grants two cosmetic effects, the departure of the supporter packs and the ExileCon keynote on November 6.

This article lines these deadlines up in the order they fall, with what the sources confirm and what they leave blank.
Path of Exile 2: sign up before December 11 for two free effects
The simplest step, and the only one that is easy to forget. In its October 20 post, signed Natalia_GGG, the studio explains that all it takes is signing up at pathofexile2.com/register with an email address. The community has already passed two milestones: everyone who registered will therefore receive two cosmetic effects when the game launches as free-to-play. The more people register, the longer the list of rewards, GGG adds.

Two traps stand out in the post. First, registration is only valid after a click on the button in the confirmation email: without it nothing is recorded, and a message that landed in the spam folder is enough to lose everything. Second, Early Access does not replace registration. GGG writes it plainly: “purchasing Early Access will not automatically grant you these rewards”. Players who are already installed must therefore register too.
The studio does not name the two effects and does not give figures for the milestones. The post sets the deadline at December 11, Pacific time (PST): the safe approach is to do it right away rather than on the last day. If you play with others, as in our Path of Exile 2 co-op guide, warn your partners: a teammate who has not signed up will not get the effects.
Supporter packs leave the store, with no date
On October 23, GGG warned that the Early Access supporter packs will leave the store « in a few weeks », replaced by five new packs, and that a payment plan is available on request. No removal date and no price were given. We already detailed what these packs contain and who they are for in our article on the removal of the PoE 2 supporter packs.
Keep one thing in mind: the purchase decision has to be made before the pack leaves, so before the date is known. Since registration for 1.0 is free and does not depend on a purchase, nothing forces you to buy to get the two launch effects. Forums speculate about a removal on December 11, but GGG has not confirmed it.
ExileCon: the keynote on November 6 at 10 pm, Paris time
ExileCon 2026 takes place in Auckland, and its broadcast schedule published on October 25 gives the keynote time: 1 pm on November 6, Pacific time. In France that is 10 pm, since Europe went back to winter time on October 25. The pre-show starts half an hour earlier, at 9:30 pm in Paris, with the streamers ZiggyD, Mathil, RaizQT and DarthMicrotransaction.

The broadcast runs on the official Twitch channel and on YouTube. The keynote lasts about two hours and covers Path of Exile 1 and Path of Exile 2. Twitch Drops (in-game rewards given to logged-in viewers) are planned, and GGG said it would reveal the details the following week. Announcement pages and trailers will come out during the keynote, and a replay will be available shortly afterwards on both platforms.
What players expect from that evening is listed in our look at what GGG must show in Auckland: the Duelist, acts 5 and 6 and the 1.0 launch league.
The calendar until 1.0
| Date | What happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Right now | Registration is open at pathofexile2.com/register | Register, then confirm by email |
| In the coming weeks | Supporter packs leave the store, date unknown | Decide before they leave |
| Friday, November 6, 10 pm (Paris) | ExileCon keynote, pre-show at 9:30 pm | Watch on Twitch or YouTube |
| Friday, December 11 | 1.0 launches as free-to-play, registration ends (Pacific time) | Log in and claim your effects |
December 11 will also bring the Duelist, revealed in a trailer at gamescom’s Opening Night Live in Cologne. The official sources give neither the list of platforms nor the detailed content of 1.0: the November 6 keynote is the first chance to learn them.
