Restoration Shaman Build — WoW Forever Talents & Guide

Restoration, the Shaman’s Group Healer in WoW Forever

Restoration is the Shaman’s healer: Healing Wave to close a big health gap, Chain Heal to spread healing across several nearby targets, and totems that support the whole raid rather than a single ally. It’s Mana Tide Totem that makes its vanilla reputation: returning mana to an entire group in 40-player fights where mana management decides the outcome makes it a particularly sought-after healer. Nature’s Swiftness, which turns your next Nature spell instant, also gives it a real emergency-heal button, rare for the time. It’s a group spec first and foremost: little use solo, essential in raids and dungeons.

What Forever changes in the Restoration tree

Out of sixteen talents, ten are tweaked and three are brand new, against two removed. The most notable new addition is Riptide: a spell that heals instantly, then applies a periodic healing effect, and boosts the effectiveness of a Chain Heal cast right after it on the same target by 25%. It’s one of the most recognizable spells of the Shaman healer in later expansions, available here right from vanilla level 60. Water Shield returns mana whenever the Shaman is hit or lands a critical heal, and Mindfulness lets part of mana regeneration continue while casting. The two removed talents, Nature’s Guidance and Totemic Mastery, adjusted a hit chance and totem range: minor tweaks, in line with the ten modified talents.

The most stable of the three: little to prove, except for Riptide

Restoration changes the least of the Shaman’s three trees: ten tweaks across sixteen talents, no overhaul needed. The real question is about Riptide, the spell later expansions turned into a classic: the build guide will say how to weave it into a healing rotation once the spec is playable, between September 17 (beta opening) and November 4, 2026 (launch date).
