Enhancement Shaman Build — WoW Forever Talents & Guide

Enhancement, WoW Forever’s Melee Shaman

Enhancement is the melee Shaman: two weapons in hand, imbued with Flametongue or Frostbrand, and a Lightning Shield that punishes anyone who hits it in melee. In vanilla, it’s historically the most neglected of the three specs: with no talent to tie its spell damage to its attack power, the melee Shaman struggles to keep pace with dedicated raid melee, and it mostly finds a home in PvP or while leveling, where its Ghost Wolf and its self-sufficient healing make the difference. Forever tackles this structural flaw head-on: of the Shaman’s three trees, Enhancement gets the deepest overhaul.

What Forever changes in the Enhancement tree

Out of eighteen talents, six are brand new and five disappear entirely: the biggest shake-up among the Shaman’s three trees. The new talents fill the spec’s historic gap. Maelstrom Weapon stacks up to five charges on every melee hit to speed up and cut the cost of the next Lightning Bolt; Mental Dexterity and Mental Quickness convert a portion of Intellect into attack power and spell damage; Rage of the Farseer grants a window of increased attack and casting speed. The five removed talents (Shield Specialization, Enhancing Totems, Two-Handed Axes and Maces, Improved Weapon Totems, and Weapon Mastery) were filler adjustments to weapon skills and defense. They’re the ones making room for the new stat-conversion talents.

Maelstrom Weapon has to fill a historic gap

Enhancement gets the deepest overhaul of the Shaman’s three trees: six brand-new talents, five removed, and Maelstrom Weapon finally links melee to the Shaman’s magic. What that link actually delivers in combat is for the build guide to say, from the beta’s opening on September 17, 2026, through to launch on November 4, 2026.
