Feral Combat Druid, the Four-Legged Fighter
Feral Combat is the Druid’s melee tank and DPS specialization, the one that switches between Cat Form for the assault (combo points, Claw, Shred, Mangle) and Bear Form or Dire Bear Form to soak up hits. Leader of the Pack makes it, like Balance Druid’s Moonkin Form, a source of an aura for the whole group. In vanilla, it’s also the specialization that demands the most gear to compete in damage with a Rogue or a Warrior, and often the first alternative tank form that groups welcome alongside a Protection Warrior.
What Forever Changes in the Feral Combat Tree
Out of the nineteen talents in the tree under Forever, thirteen are reworked (no talent is left untouched), and six are brand new. Among the new additions, Mangle, Berserk, and Rend and Tear form a coherent chain: Mangle hits hard on the opener, Berserk removes its cooldown and doubles the critical strike chance of combo-point abilities for 15 seconds, and Rend and Tear adds damage against any target that’s already bleeding. Three talents disappear, including Blood Frenzy, whose effect partly migrates to Primal Fury, which stays in the tree in reworked form.

Mangle, Berserk, and Rend and Tear form a coherent chain on paper; it remains to be chained together in real combat to confirm it. That’s still to be verified in-game: the build guide will follow, from the beta on September 17, 2026 to the launch on November 4, 2026.
