Discipline Priest Build — WoW Forever Talents & Guide

Priestess in golden armor and white robe channeling golden holy light between her two hands, inside a cathedral

Discipline Priest, the specialization stepping out of Holy’s shadow

In vanilla, Discipline almost never stands on its own as a full 41-point specialization: priests dip into Meditation for mana regeneration while casting, Power Infusion to buff a mage or hunter, and Inner Focus for a free spell, then pour the rest of their points into Holy. It’s a support tree rather than one you take all the way. Its real identity shows in PvP, where Improved Power Word: Shield absorbs more damage and resistance to Stun, Fear, and Silence effects makes the priest harder to shut down. A player looking for a resilient healer rather than a pure health-point machine already finds, in vanilla, the seeds of what Discipline becomes in Forever.

What Forever changes in the Discipline tree

Of the tree’s fifteen vanilla talents, four disappear, all purely passive resistance and Spirit bonuses such as Unbreakable Will and Force of Will, and seven entirely new talents arrive, which makes Discipline the most reworked of the Priest’s three trees in Forever. Penance and Divine Aegis are the most striking arrivals: the first adds a channeled bolt that can either heal or strike, the second turns every critical heal into a small absorption shield on the target. Renewed Hope and Soul Warding round out the rework by tightening the synergy between existing spells. The other ten reworked talents are simple percentage tweaks.
