Retribution swings, Holy spells

A Retribution Paladin fights up close with a two-handed weapon and relies on Seals and Judgements. Shockadin keeps that base and takes from the Holy tree what it needs to cast Holy Shock and Consecration between swings. Those talents cost points in Retribution, so the build explores only part of that tree.

Damage, opener and rotation of Shockadin

Seal of Righteousness (19.8% of the damage), Melee (15.5%) and Judgement of Righteousness (14.8%) weigh the most in the simulation.

Before the fight the character uses Divine Favor (3 s before) and Seal of Righteousness (1.5 s before). The simulator’s priority list starts with Judgement, Seal of Righteousness, Consecration and Hammer of Wrath; the full list, with the condition of each line, is in the Rotation block below.

On the talent side, the build takes Divine Strength, Divine Intellect, Improved Seals and Reverence to maximum rank in Holy, then Benediction, Conviction, Sanctified Judgement and Vengeance to maximum rank in Retribution.

Damage breakdown

Each line is an ability: the damage per second it adds, its share of the total, how many times it is cast in a fight, the damage of an average cast and, for a lasting effect, the part of the fight where it is active.

What the Shockadin simulation does not tell

MythicSim plays one scenario only: a single target, a short fight, the gear described by the credit line. Neither a multi-boss raid nor PvP enters the calculation, and its simulation engine is not the game.

Going Further
