In a few hours, the WoW Forever servers open their doors, at midnight Paris time on the night of November 4 to 5. And the RestedXP WoW Forever guides land just in time: the site, the addon and the guides now come in six languages, including yours.
The day before, RestedXP also shipped a big update to its Forever guides: a rebuilt Dungeon Guide, a quest log designed around 40 quests, and a batch of fixes. If you already own the guide, two steps are waiting for you before midnight: re-export it in your language, then reimport the new version into the addon.

The RestedXP WoW Forever site, addon and guides now in six languages
RestedXP now exists in six languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Simplified Chinese. According to the email RestedXP sent to its partners on the night of November 3 to 4, this covers the site, the addon (the extension that shows the guide in game) and the guides. The guides went live last, on November 3, the day before the WoW Forever launch. And the translation does not stop at Forever: it applies to everything RestedXP makes.

If you do not play the client in English, the difference is concrete. The WoW Forever client exists in French, French servers are open, and until now the guide showed its steps in English. With the RestedXP WoW Forever guide in your language, the steps display in the language you choose, and RestedXP recommends the one your client uses. The shop’s Forever page is already translated, as the screenshot shows: “Guides de leveling”, “Commander maintenant!” and the “Français” selector at the top right.
Our review says whether the guide is worth its $45, and the leveling addon comparison sets it against Zygor and Questie.
Get your RestedXP WoW Forever guide in your language and apply the update
RestedXP published a 38-second video on its channel that shows where to pick the language of your guide. Everything goes through your account.

Here is the path, as shown on screen:
- Go to account.restedxp.com.
- Open the Guides tab.
- Click “Export” next to the Forever guide.
- In the language list, pick your language (Français (France) for French, Deutsch, Español, Português or 中文 for the others).
- Confirm with “Accept & Download”.
RestedXP recommends picking the same language as your WoW client. The name of the downloaded file shows the language you chose; for French it ends in frFR. Also read the warning in the export window: once the download starts, the purchase is no longer refundable. If you are still unsure, do not click until you have decided.
The big guide update dates from November 3 (the official notes detail it). First update the addon (the game extension) on CurseForge or Wago. Then “purge your data”, “reload all guides” and “import the new guide string”. Without these three steps, it looks like nothing changed. If you start from scratch, our step-by-step installation tutorial covers the setup.
On launch day, if you already own the guide, log in directly at account.restedxp.com. It is the fastest route when the site is busy, and RestedXP recommends doing it today. Levels 1 to 20 stay free for everyone. The servers open at midnight on the night of November 4 to 5 (opening time in France), so you may as well have your RestedXP WoW Forever file in your language before everyone rushes in.
If you would rather see the steps before repeating them, the video below walks through them on screen, from login to download.
The Dungeon Guide reorganized, with Dalaran on both routes
The November 3 patch notes now separate, for each faction, mandatory, optional and upcoming dungeons. The Dungeon Guide is part of the Forever guides, at no extra cost.
Since our October 18 article, the route has grown. Back then it stopped at level 30. It now runs all the way to Maraudon and Blackrock Depths, the latter from level 42 according to our dungeon pages.
On the Horde side, only one new dungeon was on the route, Ruins of Lordaeron. It now also goes through Excavation Site: Wetlands and the City of Dalaran. The latter (levels 28 to 33, nine bosses) joins both routes. The lists give 12 mandatory and 6 optional dungeons for the Alliance, 13 mandatory and 4 optional for the Horde. The table covers the 19 dungeons mentioned.
| Dungeon | Alliance | Horde |
|---|---|---|
| Ragefire Chasm | Not included | Mandatory |
| The Hall of Thanes | Mandatory | Not included |
| The Deadmines | Mandatory | Optional |
| Wailing Caverns | Optional | Mandatory |
| Shadowfang Keep | Optional | Mandatory |
| Ruins of Lordaeron | Mandatory | Mandatory |
| The Stockade | Mandatory | Not included |
| Blackfathom Deeps | Optional | Mandatory |
| Razorfen Kraul | Optional | Mandatory |
| Excavation Site: Wetlands | Mandatory | Mandatory |
| Gnomeregan | Mandatory | Mandatory |
| City of Dalaran | Mandatory | Mandatory |
| Scarlet Monastery | Optional | Optional |
| Razorfen Downs | Mandatory | Mandatory |
| Uldaman | Mandatory | Optional |
| Zul’Farrak | Mandatory | Mandatory |
| Maraudon | Mandatory | Mandatory |
| Sunken Temple | Optional | Optional |
| Blackrock Depths | Mandatory | Mandatory |
Four dungeons are added shortly after launch, the same for both factions. RestedXP calls them Krol’dok Stronghold (our page is Krol’dor Stronghold), Blackmaw Hold and Shaper’s Terrace. The fourth, Alcaz Prison, uses the name given by RestedXP and has no page on our site.
Routing gets faster too. At the end of a dungeon, you leave the group to be teleported to the nearest graveyard, when that helps. In Ruins of Lordaeron, the guide has you die on purpose and run back as a ghost to the entrance: this is the “deathskip”, faster than walking out. On the Horde side, Desolace is removed from the Dungeon Guide, and new steps let you abandon old dungeon quests. One last removal: the Rogue-only solo section of Blackfathom Deeps is out of the Speedrun Guide (the fastest leveling route) “for now”, because its difficulty went up.
The three new dungeons shared by both routes each have their own page, with these illustrations.

40-quest log, Skyborne and class tweaks
In Forever, your quest log holds up to 40 quests, where Classic stopped at 20 (see our settings to check before launching Forever). The November 3 patch notes say the routes for both factions were redone around that limit. You need to reimport the guide to benefit, as explained above.

Class tweaks mostly affect the Alliance. Here are the main ones:
- Mage: the guide sends it to its Teleport spells instead of flying when possible.
- Shaman: steps that call for a Water Breathing potion now account for the Shaman’s own Water Breathing spell.
- Druid: the Aquatic Form quest is fixed.
- Night Elf Druid: always takes the Red Crystal quest before the Bear Form quest in Darkshore.
- Night Elf Warrior: no more deathskip before the monster of its class quest, because of a Resurrection Sickness duration bug. It will return if Blizzard fixes the bug.
- Hunter: the Redridge Mountains part of the 24-27 section fits in a single loop, and the note switches to Track Undead, because the new Duskwood NPCs whose name starts with “Lost” are now undead.
The Skyborne (the race that starts on Zephras Isle, as covered in our article on the guide update) get their own adjustments. On the Alliance side, you find more map markers for tornado spawns, and warnings about the abilities of dangerous enemies. On the Horde side, the Hunter takes the two-handed sword instead of the bow after Foul Matriarch, until a better bow comes along. The Druid route after level 10 is redone, and Throw replaces the bow after Throw’s wind-up time was adjusted.
A new Horde video shows how to solo the “Counterattack!” quest in the Barrens by kiting (making the enemy chase you while you attack from range).
One last concrete detail on the Alliance side: weapon prices at the vendor in Teldrassil have been updated. They are higher in Forever.
