Diablo 4 Season 14 Tier List: Best Builds Ranked (PTR)

Article by Kami

Which Diablo 4 Season 14 tier list should you follow before the June 30 launch? Rob (Rob2628) just dropped his complete rankings after around thirty hours on the Season 14 PTR. His verdict: Rogue dominates the competition, Barbarian comes in second with three viable builds, and Druid rounds out a very solid top three. Rob does stress one key point: "everything can still change, not can but WILL change". The PTR is over, the final patch notes haven't dropped yet, and the global power level will go down before launch. This ranking is therefore a provisional snapshot, subject to change.

All builds listed below link to complete guides on kami-labs.fr, with gear, skill tree, paragon, glyphs and detailed boards. Some guides are Season 13 bases, already playable and adaptable for S14 (the core build structure doesn't change fundamentally). This Diablo 4 Season 14 tier list is a PTR snapshot: positions may still shift before June 30 depending on Blizzard's adjustments.

S-Tier: The Trio Dominating the PTR

According to Rob, three classes clearly dominate the Season 14 PTR: Rogue as the undisputed number one, Barbarian in second place with no fewer than three competitive builds, and Druid in third. The six builds below form the elite of the provisional rankings.

Rob puts the Poison Rogue (Pen Shot) at the top of the rankings. On the PTR, he cleared Pit 150 speedruns thanks to a currently bugged mechanic. Even without that bug, the build runs around Pit 140 and dominates the leaderboard. The class is fluid, very mobile, and poison delivers a constant DPS that doesn't rely on precise alignment. This is the build to pick if you're chasing pure performance in S14, while waiting for a dedicated guide on the site.

The Whirlwind Barbarian remains a solid option in S14 according to Rob. With perfect gear including Melted Heart and Tal Rasha's Will, the build generates permanent unstoppable and constant resource, enabling Pit 140 clears. Barbarian is ranked #2 by Rob, and Whirlwind is its most accessible version.

The Call of the Ancients (Ancient Singer) is the second Barbarian build picked by Rob, also viable in Pit 140. It's yet another option in the class's arsenal, proving that Barbarian has rare build depth in S14.

The Rend Bleed Barbarian is Rob's personal favourite build, and he says so clearly. Combining Rend, Leap and bleed dots, it is "right up there with S-Tier" in his view. The key advantage: dots don't crit, so the build is far less affected by the S14 talisman nerf than its counterparts. It catches up to Whirlwind and Call of the Ancients on the PTR. The available guide is based on S13 and already gives you the complete build structure.

The Storm Shred Druid is W3llSeeYa's electric werewolf build, rated S-Tier by Rob. The build chains Pit 135 clears by leveraging the freeze meta mechanic for one-shots. It combines high mobility from Shred's movement skills, solid survivability and firepower with the mythic Waxing Gibbous. The S13 guide available on the site already gives you the complete structure.

Zaior's Tornado Bearnado Druid completes the S-Tier. This wolf Druid that summons tornadoes chains Pit 135 clears in six minutes, and Pit 140+ is viable with the right gear. The secret: swap Waxing Gibbous for Azure Wrath and Frostburn, which brings massive freeze. Rob ranks Druid as global #3, and Tornado is its top pushpit variant. The S13 page gives you the build foundation.

A-Tier: Solid but a Step Behind

Sorcerer and Necromancer occupy the mid-table. They remain viable and enjoyable classes, but without the raw power level of the S-Tier trio on the Season 14 PTR.

On the Sorcerer side, the real PTR newcomer is the Firewall burn sorc: ring of fire, Tal Rasha set, and the Raiment of the Infinite offering 65% damage reduction. This is the class's new S14 meta, but it doesn't have a dedicated guide on the site yet. In the meantime, Ball Lightning remains an excellent T12 farmer even after its massive nerf (100x+ DPS loss according to Rob). It runs around Pit 130+ and covers all daily farm needs. Mekuna's S13 version is available and still relevant as a progression base.

The Blood Wave Necromancer sees no meta shift in S14 according to Rob. Lord Farrah runs around Pit 128 without sanctification, and Pit 135 is achievable with sanctification. The class remains A-Tier with many playable builds, but no profile capable of competing with the S-Tier. LordxSaura's S13 guide gives the complete build structure, directly applicable in S14.

B-Tier: The Newer Classes Struggling

Warlock, Paladin and Spiritborn come out weak from the Season 14 PTR according to Rob. The three classes suffer from targeted nerfs or an insufficient power level to compete with the top of the table. S13 guides are available for each of them, providing the basic structure.

The Lunatic Warlock is the class's best profile according to Rob, but it remains B-Tier. In solo without sanctification you cap around Pit 127, with room up to Pit 135 with sanctification. Warlock is still perceived as "weak and clunky" (long animations that break combat flow). On top of that, the Apocalypse build was heavily nerfed in S14, further shrinking the class's options. Wudijo's S13 guide remains the available reference.

The Paladin is in a rough spot in S14. The Shield Clash build was heavily nerfed through resource stacking, removing a large portion of its damage spike. Worse: Archon Veil received a massive nerf, putting an end to the speed Paladin builds that were popular in S13. Rob places the class in B-Tier with few viable alternatives on the PTR. MrRonit's S13 version remains the available reference on the site.

The Spiritborn stays on the plague/pestilence build in S14, with no notable meta shift according to Rob, and a ceiling around Pit 127. The dedicated plague build guide is not yet available on the site. In the meantime, here is the best Spiritborn currently available: P4wnyhof's Quill Volley build, which gives you the class structure and core mechanics to approach S14.

Which Diablo 4 Season 14 Tier List to Follow Based on Your Playstyle

If you do a lot of fast farming (glyphs, materials, loot), Poison Rogue is the obvious pick in S14: maximum mobility, constant DPS, and Pit 140+ accessible with solid gear. For a memorable pushpit session, Tornado Bearnado Druid or Storm Shred Druid offer the best performance beyond Pit 135. If you enjoy braindead, reliable gameplay, Whirlwind Barbarian and Call of the Ancients remain safe, well-documented picks. And for dot fans, Rend Bleed Barbarian is Rob's own choice, since it's less exposed to the talisman nerfs.

To prepare for Season 14, several resources on kami-labs.fr are already available. The Season 14 changes guide summarises the major changes analysed by wudijo from the PTR. To optimise your gear from day one, the Horadric Cube guide details all available crafting recipes. If you want a point of comparison, check out the Druid Season 13 top 4 to see how the class evolved between both seasons.

Important final note: this Diablo 4 Season 14 tier list is based on the PTR, which is now over. Rob himself insists that the rankings will change again before the June 30 launch. New S14 build guides will be added on kami-labs.fr as launch progresses, particularly for the Firewall Sorcerer and the Spiritborn Plague build, both absent for now. Check back regularly for updates.
