A few hours before the server opens, a builder is finishing their last pass on the Google Sheet that tracks community tests: that's where this Diablo 4 tier list comes from. Season 15, called Hell's Legacy, launches on September 15, 2026 at 6:30 PM Paris time. The rankings below come from the PTR, the public test server where Blizzard tries out its changes before the official release, and rely mainly on feedback from Rob2628, who gathered and rated about twenty builds per class before keeping only the best ones.
Twelve of these builds are already translated into English on the site, with the full gear, the allocated skill tree, the talisman, the mercenary and the paragon glyphs. Each entry in this Diablo 4 tier list for Season 15 gives you everything you need to replay the build exactly as shown from day one. The Diablo 4 builds hub gathers them all, including the profiles that don't make this ranking.
The Diablo 4 tier list: all eight classes after the test server
| Rank | Class | What it's worth in S15 |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Warlock | Big comeback, several builds at the top, some of the highest damage in the rankings |
| 2 | Rogue | Very strong for speedfarming, easy to play, Pit 145 already cleared on the PTR |
| 3 | Barbarian | Three builds rated at the same level, Pit around 140 |
| 4 | Spiritborn | Powerful on the PTR, but part of its strength depends on a rune bug |
| 5 | Sorcerer | Reliable from level one to Torment 12, no hassle |
| 6 | Necromancer | No mandatory item, excellent during leveling |
| 7 | Druid | Big area damage, less convincing against a single target |
| 8 | Paladin | Last in the PTR rankings, but able to clear the whole season |
Warlock — the class that comes back to crush everything
This is the class that changes everything in this Diablo 4 tier list: the Warlock makes a big comeback and takes the top spot, with several builds rated as viable rather than a single dominant profile. The Apocalypse one-shot build by wudijo already made waves when it came out, able to wipe an entire screen of monsters in a single wave. For leveling, Mekuna's Blazing Scream version reaches level 70 in one to three hours, without a single aspect required.
In the endgame, Rob2628 names the endgame Blazing Scream version as one of the best builds of the season in terms of damage, able to push Pit 150 without real trouble. Below that tier, almost every monster dies in one hit, which also makes it an excellent speedfarm choice despite its Pit-focused profile.

WARLOCK BUILD Apocalypse one-shot
A build that wipes the whole screen in one hit, already very popular since launch.

WARLOCK BUILD Blazing Scream Speed Leveling
The fastest leveling build in the rankings, reaching level 70 without a single aspect required.

WARLOCK BUILD Blazing Scream Pit 150
Rob2628's favorite endgame build: Pit 150 cleared with ease, and almost one-shotting everything below it.
View full buildRogue — the strong comeback of speedfarming
Second in this ranking, the Rogue owes its spot to the Penetrating Shot build presented by wudijo: easy to play, deadly for speedfarming, and called one of the strongest profiles on the PTR. On the test server, it was seen clearing Pit 145; Pit 150 is considered reachable rather than 100% confirmed, and our own build, tested on September 12 without heavy optimization, put it closer to Pit 130.
The key item for this build in the endgame is Eaglehorn, essential for bouncing Penetrating Shot off walls. It's what lets you hit an entire crowd instead of a single target, with a major damage multiplier that makes it the core of the profile.

ROGUE BUILD Penetrating Shot Poison
Fast to play, deadly for speedfarming, Pit 145 already cleared on the PTR.
View full buildBarbarian — three builds, one level of power
Rob2628 ranks the Barbarian third, and the notable point is that he doesn't pick a single favorite but three: Charge Burn, Immortal Whirlwind and Hammer of the Ancients are all rated at the same level. On the test server, clears hovered around Pit 140 for all three profiles, with none really standing out from the other two.
wudijo's Immortal Whirlwind remains the most documented of the three, built around Melted Heart of Selig and gear with no life on it. Charge Burn relies on execution through Shattered Vow and a constant fire DoT, while Hammer of the Ancients uses a four-weapon arsenal to keep critical hits permanent. Three ways of reaching the same result.

BARBARIAN BUILD Immortal Whirlwind
The most tested Barbarian choice, built to tank damage without ever slowing down.

BARBARIAN BUILD Charge Burn
Rated at the same level as Whirlwind by Rob2628, for anyone who loves charging into the fray.

BARBARIAN BUILD Hammer of the Ancients
A four-weapon arsenal to keep permanent critical hits, rated at the same level as Whirlwind.
View full buildSpiritborn — very strong, as long as the bug holds
This is the one real uncertainty in this PTR version of the Diablo 4 tier list. The Spiritborn performed well on the test server, but Rob2628 is clear about it: part of its power comes from a bug tied to a rune. If Blizzard fixes this bug before or during the season, the class will almost certainly drop several spots.
The Toxic Skin build relies on Harmony of Ebewaka, which multiplies spirit hall damage, and on Ring of Writhing Moon, which spawns pestilent swarms every four seconds around the player. Enough to keep up constant pressure without ever having to recast a skill by hand.

SPIRITBORN BUILD Toxic Skin
Very strong on the PTR, but part of its power comes from a rune bug that could get fixed.
View full buildSorcerer — the firewall that never disappoints
Firewall is back once again and it still works just as well, from the very first level all the way to Torment 12 without a single hitch. It's Mekuna's version, also available on his own site Infinity Builds, that forms the basis of this build: a ready-to-play profile with no complicated tweaks to figure out on your own.
The build rests on three unique items. Vision of the Firestorm gives up to 100% extra damage and makes the wall 100% bigger, which makes it a near-essential item. Raiment of the Infinite adds damage on teleport, and Drognan's Anguish pushes burn damage up to 250%.

SORCERER BUILD Firewall Ring of Fire
Ready to play from level 1 to Torment 12, with zero hassle.
View full buildNecromancer — the army that asks for nothing in return
The Army of the Dead build keeps its reputation as a safe bet. It builds itself naturally while leveling, unlocks its minions very early, and doesn't require any specific item to work properly. On the PTR, it was clearing Pits around 120 to 130, more than enough to finish the campaign and the endgame content without a second thought.
Three unique items speed up the climb through Torment: The Undercrown raises the maximum number of skeletal warriors and mages from 2 to 4, Sanguivor, Blade of Zir adds 400% summon damage and gives Army of the Dead up to a 50% chance to deal double damage, and for the golem version, Mace of King Leoric sacrifices some of your minions every eight seconds for a much bigger damage multiplier. It's P4wnyhof's build that forms the basis of this entry.

NECROMANCER BUILD Army of the Dead
No mandatory item, with minions unlocked right from the early levels.
View full buildDruid — the boulder that crushes everything, except a lone target
The Boulder build deals huge area damage, but hits noticeably softer against a single target. It mainly depends on unique items picked up in the endgame, starting with Dolmen Stone, which makes the boulder orbit around the player: without it, the build simply doesn't work.
Fractured Runestone adds up to 50% critical damage to earth skills, and Tibault's Will works as a major multiplier, just like in plenty of other builds this season. That last item wasn't easy to get in previous seasons: it remains to be seen whether Hell's Legacy's loot table makes it more accessible.

DRUID BUILD Trillion Boulder
Huge area damage, as long as you get your hands on the right unique items in the endgame.
View full buildPaladin — last in the rankings, but far from useless
The Paladin brings up the rear on the PTR. The Clash build featured here was seen clearing Pits around level 125, with a buffed post-PTR variant pushed all the way to 134-135. That still counts: enough to finish the whole campaign and most of the endgame content without real difficulty.
The class remains behind the other seven for now. Last-minute fixes before launch, or an early in-season patch, could still push the Paladin up a notch or two.

PALADIN BUILD Clash Infinite Stacks
Clears the whole season with ease, but remains the least refined build in the rankings for now.

For fast farming without overthinking it, the Rogue's Penetrating Shot and the Warlock's Apocalypse one-shot have you covered. To push the Pit as far as possible, Blazing Scream Pit 150 and Immortal Whirlwind are the two most documented profiles on the PTR. If you'd rather level up without worrying about hunting down a single item, the Necromancer's Army of the Dead and Blazing Scream Speed Leveling handle that role flawlessly from the very first level.
That's it for this first Diablo 4 tier list of Season 15, built entirely on PTR feedback. It will change: the Spiritborn's rune bug could get fixed any day, last-minute fixes are always possible before launch, and the real meta never settles before the first week of intensive farming. A second Diablo 4 tier list will arrive in a few days, once the numbers are confirmed under real conditions instead of on a test server.
In the meantime, the twelve entries above remain the best starting point to avoid wasting time at launch. The Diablo 4 builds hub will keep growing as the community makes new discoveries, class after class.
